Drew...your dad used to come up to Joshua Tree to visit us in the early "60's. He was a very sweet, funny & goofy person that I could relate to. We clicked, you might say. Never had any kind of intimate relationship. I found him to be a deep thinker. I felt bad 'cuz I couldn't help him with his problems. He never pushed his lifestyle . He seemed to really care for people. In mid 60's I moved away & we lost contact. How excited I was when ET came out & I saw his daughter, (you) for the first time. I fell in love with you & have followed your growth into the beautiful young woman you are today! So grateful you chose the High road. Congratulations on your newest adventure. You are in my prayers.

The things that drew has been through and survived and thrive to still be the light to everyone is amazing.
Community of friends is important. It’s hard to have friends in adulthood. Just because it’s hard to manage it all. Drew reminds me of my sister. I saw a quote this week that basically said at your job you are always replaceable but your home is really your life. I think home extends out to friends, having friends support is definitely important.
What I love about when you interview Paris Hilton... is that she is still looking for this group of friends/family... most of us dont have family and also dont find people that are willing to be our family !!! I wish people would talk more about the lack of real people in their lives

Reece is absolutely right, I've been a cheerleader for Drew for 30+ years & it's made me so happy to see her succeed & grow over the years into such an amazing, wise, beautiful person. Clinging on to Drew as a young girl saved me. We were of a similar age with crappy mothers who weren't doing their job properly, but watching Drew navigate her way through life helped give me this sense of " that's ok, my mum didn't teach me how to be a great, strong, woman & mother but she did teach me what NOT to do & to have some appreciation for that" & anything beyond I could look to Drew for. I know it's stupid to put so much on to a celebrity that you don't know but I truly love Drew & I have been cheering her along all the way because we do want her to succeed because she's a special, beautiful human being.

I grew up with Drew Barrymore born two years apart, so she was always around watching her grow up on screen from Firestarter through Poison Ivy to Never Been Kissed and the dozens of other great films. Then seeing Reese in A Far Off Place and watching her star climb more into the public eye over the years.

I will be your friend! I am so sorry you had to deal with such a frightening situation and I sincerely hope you are ok and taking care of yourself. Wouldn't it be cool if we could all just instantly be a friend to someone? I am on the East Coast in DC and though I was not displaced, stress is building tenfold. I'm learning so much about Drew. I didn't know any of these. What a woman.
I can say that coming from an abusive unloving upbringing you can still survive if you have nobody. I was that person and I'm still here today. Granted I never got married or had kids but I still had plenty of my own struggles to rise above. Its great to have support but you can still survive and thrive all on your own.
Just binge watched all the videos in your channel and i gotta say. I love it!! Drew is a good interviewer. Its a different skill set and she HAS it! I wish this show a success

And as for time to be a mother in USA, I was shocked that in USA women have several weeks for maternity leave. For example, in Europe and in Russia you may have 2-3 years. I have colleague who was on maternity leave for 6 years because she had second child after 2 years from the first one.
