Great video, you make it all look easy. Looking forward to the engine change! It'd be good to hear the current engine working hard before you take it out, though maybe it's too late and you've already started.
Great video Dan 👍 I've one of those tidy benches too 😂 Our 675 has the same pipe on the filter housing, she's not multi power, if I remember correctly it goes to a tiny union in the centre of the bank of spool couplers. No idea what it's purpose is though
Pretty sure the fitting on the back goes to a pressure switch that tells you if the filter is blocked plus I think there should be an o-ring on top of the spring and washer under the filter to stop the pump sucking in unfiltered oil , changed plenty of these when I worked for a Massey dealer in the 80's
Just a thought on that tiny tube: Could it be a pressure relief line and the apparent blanking off is a sprung ball of some type? I don't actually know but it is a possibility..These little jobs all make the difference between an unreliable leaky tractor and a happy little daily driver that can be depended on, it's fascinating viewing, good camerawork and good explanation. Fingers crossed the new oil will cure the Multi-Power oil light concern. Thanks Dan.
No idea what the little pipe is, it’s seems to be a magic pipe that does magic things!?!🤔🤷♂️🤣. Presume it’s the same size filter as the 698? Definitely the same housing on it
Great vid Dan , you should teach night school!! Easy to follow and well explained!
Got to love classic tractors . Stay safe 🏴
Another great update - your 550 is coming along nicely!
Good video Dan looked like a fairly straight forward job👍 lookin forward to seein the engine swap💪👍

Great job Dan, no skinned knuckles and not a single "F" word, that we heard anyways 😁😁😁👍
Great video Dan another few jobs done on the 550 for you 👍

Another good video, I hope it has cured the high MP issue.

Great video dan, really in depth and interesting, does all the guages and heater work in cab? Started the 1200 up lately?
There's nowhere on this engine to plumb the heater in to.
Did you refit the little pipe off camera ?
I filmed it all, but may have edited it out to stop the video getting too long.

Yes, should be the same filter.
I'd make fun of your bench, but mine is too covered with stuff to use...
