Stress Blend Fertilizer | Best Summer Fertilizer?
Вставка
- Опубліковано 18 жов 2024
- Lawns that go into stressful situations, whether induced by weather conditions or wear and tear, benefit from fertilizers higher in potassium (K) which make K available in the soil for plant uptake. Yard Mastery's new Stress Blend fertilizer is one of these such fertilizers. Let's talk about what it is and if you should pick some up!

The video is perfect timing getting stress blend today and throw it down this weekend My lawn is deficient in potassium too So hopefully my lawn will have a better summer
Get after it!!!!
You had a soil test done?? If so how did you go about it
Just threw my SB down yesterday. Will see how it works. Hopefully it’s as good as 8-1-8 XGN was for summer. In our soil test we are a little low in K so it’s the way to go. Thanks for your videos.
I wish 8-1-8 was still made. It was going to be my year round fert…
My soil test revealed I have low K as well . Stress Blend has been ordered. How often do you run a soil test? Keep the videos coming . Thanks Greg.
I only soil test once every couple years unless there’s some glaring issue
Warm season lawn here and my lawn loves SSB. Super excited they added Bio-Nite!👍🏽👍🏽
Definitely has been a great fert for a LOT of folks!!!!
I’m loving the Stress Blend….can’t wait for the heat of summer to come…bring it Mother Nature. 👊😎🌴
We’re going to be staying green over here!
Waiting for my delivery, can't wait to see what happens.
The best fertilizers contain all the nutrients in a single prill because it evenly spread the nutrients but I can confirm that Yard Master makes great products. Great video...
I like homogenous ferts best too, but these are great! I miss the 8-1-8
I just threw down some SB today, followed by an abundant rain.
Sounds glorious!
I would buy this and apply in June. Water in well.
Bought some after getting my soil test back. Going to throw it down tomorrow. Great video !
Thanks, Scott! You da best!
Got soil test back this is what's recommended threw down last week had ton of rain so we'll see how it goes
Stress Blend was my granular recommendation on my test too.
@@TheLawnMentor i put that down and some mag ical silver bag my ph was borderline low 5.8 after 3 days of rain cut yesterday looking good after my next cut milo will go down then I'll start my spoon juice
Oh you’re going with spoon juice eh! My pH is actually a little high, just barely high.
What lime product can you recommend if lawn is a low PH. Thank you
Any granular lime from a big box store or an agricultural store will be just fine
So what's the best month for this stress blend? I use JG summer survival fertilizer but this could compliment that product??
If you are looking for a product with more potassium in it for the summer months, Stress Blend is your ticket over the JG product since that only has 3% potassium whereas Stress Blend has 20%
Got mine delivered today. Supposed to rain for like the next week… can input down DURING the rain? 🤷🏻♂️
It would be a messy job…
I am waiting on mine to be delivered. Wish I knew about this months ago
It’s a good option for a summer fert!
@@TheLawnMentor yea I just found out about this stuff like 2-3 weeks ago. I am ready to try it out
@@henryjonesphotography4934 comment back here and let me know how it goes in a few weeks!
Never tried this stress blend. I just used last week simple solutions liquid 0-0-25. I assume it's like stress blend or very different?? Please advise. Thank you
The actual amount (pounds on the ground) of K you’re getting from that SLS liquid is not equivalent to a granular. The potassium source may be different and Stress Blend has nitrogen in it as well, which SLS does not
@@TheLawnMentor okay thanks for that information. Very educational
How often can/should you apply this to your your lawn? I recently had a fungus and treated it.
You could apply this every month!
Great video! I 100% agree about your comment to use data to drive your decisions. I just started getting into DIY lawn care this season. My soil test results indicated a Potassium deficiency with abundant nitrogen and therefore the perfect product was Stress Blend. So far after two applications I'm very pleased with the result. Without a soil test, it seems like a waste of time and money to just throw down generic NPK formulations without truly knowing what your soil needs. Keep up the great work!
Thank you!!! Looking forward to hearing about your lawn.
I can’t wait to apply stress blend in a few weeks!
Threw mine down before I left for vacation.
Great product in my opinion, getting this down since May and have done already a couple of apps.
It’s been good to me too! Probably rock it up until overseeding!
@@TheLawnMentor I am lower in K as well so getting this injected all season and raising that level.
You and me both 👊🏻
I just applied double dark two weeks ago can I apply this now?
You sure can! Be ready to keep up with the mowing!
Can I apply Stress Blend the same time with DiseaseX?
You most certainly can!!
What do you use to test your soil?
I usually use Waypoint or Spectrum M3 tests, but I’ve also used the YardMastery test kit too
Will it burn your lawn
Only if it’s not applied per directions on the label would you have a chance at that my friend!
@@TheLawnMentor I just bought some yesterday I have Bermuda /Sod should I wait for rain to but it out ?
If you don’t have irrigation, then yes I’d recommend trying to time it with rain so it gets watered in
Those videos may a little bit shorter. Sometimes too much unnecessary small things like waking with hose too long, or something else. Overall nice info.
