- For my channel's 1 year anniversary, I decided to remake my first video, "What if Cell Was in the Tournament of Power?"
In this revamped version of the scenario, we'll be looking at it in a much more grounded way, without the odd headcanon and errors in the original video. Let's see how Cell’s revival would change the ToP arc, and how he could help save Universe 7!

I read this in the abridged voices.
I would say he decides to explore the universe, this can result in three different end locations
1: vampa, he locates the planet after sensing a strange ki that fluctuates like someone is trying to contain it, he locates broly and sees this could be an interesting training partner
2: he heads to yardrat or more finds it by accident while looking for a new planet that he can work on new moves on
3: namek, he recalls namek and decides looking for the planet could be interesting as a pass time and maybe he can use the dragon balls for something which could have him butting heads with moro when he first arrives, potentially saving the namekians until goku and vegeta arrive
Good ideas.
Edit: I think Normandy 1988’s 3rd idea is good but I would like to add on. Maybe Cell defeats Goku and Vegeta in a rematch and then he lets them live and decides to go to Namek for a stronger opponent. He uses the Dragon Balls there because he knows that the Earth Dragon Balls don’t work. There he wishes for a strong opponent or at least one who has potential and Broly gets there. Then they start to fight while Goku and Vegeta try to find a way to defeat Cell and Beerus decides not to interfere not yet at least.
2nd edit: this could also work with the first one if you just forget about the Dragon Balls

I would say he asks Whis in secret to train him to be a God of Destruction.
It sound crazy, but it could make sense. Cell would be very good at that job. He could go around planets, making them stronger and destroying the ones that refuse to evolve. I mean, if he's a G.O.D., he can make HIS universe Perfect.
What else does he have to do? And he could also have a great training partner with Whis, and possibly Goku and Vegeta.
He is looking for a new purpose, and it would allowing to train, fight and destroy at pretty much his own discretion. He'd be Perfect for the job.

We've seen cell do something similar to that in a online dbz game as cell x (edit) now that I think about it that would be the perfect explanation to have a bio android race in xenoverse
I think Cell might actually stick around the Z-Fighters just so he can keep getting stronger. He probably wouldn't be a good guy or anything, but he wouldn't really be evil.

Gohan: "Then just what the hell are you talking about!?"
Cell walks up to Gohan and puts his hands on his shoulders, smiling.
Cell: "Why, a Galactic Martial Arts Tournament of course!"
Gohan: "A...What?"
Cell: "Our Universe has just won quite the Tournament, have we not?
Cell: "Why not A Galactic Tournament from all of Universe 7, why don't we Celebrate Together?"
Gohan: "I..."
You can guess with this name, *GALACTIC*
With Bojack in the distance. I can see a great idea here that can make Bojack an unintended nightmare, but this is it's own Arc or a Second Movie, as Cell is traveling though the Galaxy himself, just enjoying himself...
Meanwhile, he Finds Broly and brings him over to Earth, unexpectedly causing the movie, in the meantime.
Cell: "So, you are the strongest being In this Universe, I will surpass you and show everyone that I am truly the perfect being"
Beerus: "Even with an eternity to train you can't hope to ever reach a fraction of the power of a God of Destruction, let alone mine, of course even If you manage to surpass me you'll never get further than second place, If you count *everyone* In Universe 7"
Cell can’t sense god ki so cell would probably think goku is weak
I don't know. Goku's base is above Cell so he would probably think the opposite
Well thinking about it when cell faces goku he has super sayen g4 and that was what he experienced. Goku trained and unlocked ss but I don’t know if he ever absorbed that into his base. The next major power boost was super sayan god which was god ki. So goku absorbing god ki into his base would still be hard to if even possible to detect for cell. The dragon team is used to gokus ki so they can sense it possibly due to being around it so much
I think so too, since in the manga toppo stated that goku gave off god ki after he went SSG and in the anime when Goku went SSB against Bergamo the dog guy the Gods of Destruction were surprised that he was using God Ki. So Goku only has pure God Ki when in SSG or SSB meaning that Cell would know that base goku was stronger

True, but it also does make sense in a way. As i'm sure you know one must concentrate when using the technique however cell was just beaten to a pulp and thrown away. Therefore, instead of using a technique that relies on mental awareness he used his physical advantage, arm stretching.

Since cell has no purpose on earth anymore, what if he goes around the galaxy and universe, leaning about new species, absorbing those that threaten him, copying new powers, blowing empty planets for fun.
Basically, he would travel through the stars, get stronger and have fun.

How about having Cell remain on Earth and since he's on earth he wants to settle the score with Gohan cause he might not have settled it in Hyperbolic Time Chamber and that would also motivate Gohan to train more. I am not implying that Cell is good rn it's just hat he still holds a grudge towards Gohan so he wants to beat him once and for all smth similar to rivaly between Goku and Vegeta but instead of friendly rivaly it's like nemesis. Phew that's kinda lots of text right there XD dk if anyone wants to read it though XD

Cell Goes around to find strong warriors in the universe and he ends up running into Broly
Then he gets the frieza treatment
What I feel Cell could do in this scenario now that he's been revived and given a second chance is that he could be interested in one of two things, depending on how you look at it.
1) If we take into consideration that Cell has no real goal or anything to do now, since he already obtained perfection, killed Goku and fought as many strong people as he could, then he would need something to truly motivate him out of boredom. Seeing Cell's power and qualities present in the Tournament of Power, Cell is approached by Beerus and Whis, who offer him a position as the candidate for the next God of Destruction for universe 7. Cell, seeing this as an opportunity to not only get stronger, but to relieve himself of boredom, decides to accept this offer, unlike Goku and Vegeta in the past. This means that Cell now has an opponent to continue fighting against and eventually surpass, along with a teacher that could help him figure things out, learn about what a God of Destruction could be and eventually, work his way to finally taking the position.
2) If Cell doesn't accept this, however, then we could see a different thing happen. With Cell having no purpose in his life, he begins to think about just what he could do in the universe. He understands that if he were to terrorize it, he'd be erased, but that's when Android 17 actually comes up to Cell. Yes, the air is somewhat bitter between the two, since Cell did absorb 17 in the past, but letting bygones be bygones, Android 17 could actually be the one Cell could confide in for the moment, asking the bug man what he wants to do. Cell simply says he's quite unsure, actually, since all of his goals have been reached long ago. This gets 17 to thinking; Cell liked fighting and tournaments, and he likely wanted to go out into the universe at some point; so 17 hatches an idea. He tells Cell that maybe he could explore the universe, learn a few skills, maybe even set up a universal tournament every so often, which gets Cell thinking. That's it. A new series of tournaments that could be run by himself, inviting some of the strongest people in universe 7 and beyond. Cell smirks and tells 17 thanks for the idea, since now Cell has a brand new purpose and new goal.
...but, brewing in the deepest regions of space on a planet called Vampa, there are two people that would eventually catch Cell's interest due to a high power level spike one day in the future as he and his staff (comprised of former Frieza Army soldiers) were working on the arena for the Galactic Cell Games. This, of course, could lead into a differing series of events for the Broly movie.

Great revamp! My only issue with it is that it overlooks the negative feelings that 17 and 18 would likely have against teaming up with Cell.
I get that if Krillin could put aside being killed by Freeza, one would expect similar behavior from the androids, but it's a very different thing to be CONSUMED by a literal monster - never being granted the release of death to escape from its bowels (18 showed us this would have been the case if Cell hadn't been destroyed or at least detonated). I feel like the sibling component would have only added to this too, and that doesn't touch on his killing of 16.
I could easily see them passing on the tournament if Cell was involved - heck, 17 was hard to convince even when the end of all reality was at stake, and that was over a single park. 18 would be doubly so because not only was she hunted, but also had to watch and experience the absorption process firsthand - and now she's a wife and mother to boot, so much more to lose.
If they didn't participate, that very well could have led to Universe 7 losing and being erased. Potentially permanently given the other universes didn't seem particularly selfless.

I say he should travel around, looking for strong fighters to train with. It could allow Broly to get involved in the story. Cell would be a decent antihero character.
Cell is intrigued by the god of destruction's power. After being forced to acknowledge beerus, and his brush with toppo, he wants that power for himself. He approaches Whis and asks for him to train Cell to have the powers of a God of Destruction, and after a while Whis accepts. He is displeased with how Beerus has been handling things after all....

I was thinking maybe he would try and get even stronger, unlocking a form by accident. Maybe, he notices that frieza's men are gathering the dragon balls to revive frieza, but then DBS Broly happens.

I feel like he would go around seeking stronger people to fight causing him to be training with his cell juniors to grow stronger as well which leads him to finding broly and even going around to challenging him to a fight realizing how strong broly is he’s bring him back to earth some how even if it’s going around to find a ship for them to use to get back to earth and with cell being as cocky as he his will bring back a fight with vegeta and goku to challenge them the same way he did during the cell saga but instead after a fight much like goku did he’d bring in broly knowing full well that broly can take them on

We still haven't seen Beerus' full power in context. We know he can take on all other G.o.Ds at the same time due to that manga exclusive match so he would be leagues above Toppo and (in my opinion) is stronger than Jiren

@Free he only briefly managed to hold up against all the gods using a proto-UI before it became a free-for-all. Belmod also nearly took out Beerus and the other GoDs all on his own and he didn't even take the fight seriously. Quitela was also right there at the end and the winner of that fight was left inconclusive. Also the Manga and anime are two different beasts with *very* different scaling.
People need to stop wanking that feat.
Beerus, Belmod, and Quielta are the three strongest, being out of league for the others. Toppo is likely below them
As i believe it, Jiren, Broly, and MUI Goku are all around the power of average G.oDs while still being below Beerus, Belmod, and Quitella though i have no knowledge from the new arc as i havn't been able to read it

I know this is an old comment, but, honestly, I feel that Golden Cell never really made much sense.
Sure, his initial transformations are drastic, like Frieza's-- But, after hitting Perfect, he's basically a Super Saiyan, with Super Perfect Cell being Super Saiyan 2. I feel like his abilities would probably lend him more similarities towards Goku and Vegeta's further transformations.
I feel like Cell might do a repeat of the Cell games, but perhaps without the world being at stake. That, or he might just fly off to spcae in search of strong opponents, and occasionally make appearances in various arcs, as he "senses new high power lvls" or smthng.
I say he should train to get strong and absorb new foes along the way. And eventually starting his own army of Cell Jr's

I think cell would stick with the dragon team and help them out occasionally, for his own gain of course and he would make that known, but he would probably also want to train with beerus as well to get stronger

Cell is not really a bad guy. The fact he gave the Z-fighters 10 days to prepare for a tournament says a lot. He likes competition and I’m sure he would maybe lean towards training with Vegeta since he has all the fancy facilities to do so.

Been here since the second ever what if (what if frieza killed gohan), and seeing you grow was so satisfying given how high quality your conent is
He decides to stay on earth and train with the z fighters untile he senses a strong power level coming from planet vampa and take's goku, vegeta and gohan with them
This is way better then the original video I'm glad you remade this. I would say since cell already completed his mission he has no interest in destroying the earth. He stated in the show that "he's created to become the strongest" originally he was just going to absorb every planet to become stronger but since he's been missing out on soon many things that happened he would most likely stay on earth and become stronger . most likely would be interested in the gods , this could also work for broly, I don't feel like he would become a good guy or even a bad guy so I don't think he would stay with the z warriors
*_Dr. Gero Saved the Multiverse Once Again_*
A little late to the party but I think Ihave an idea of a plot:
Cell searches for strong fighters in the universe (only universe 7) marks their location (only to spend his time) ultimately creating the super cell games using the super dragonballs (obviously waiting a year) so everyone will be forced to cooperate + using the regular dragonballs to revive every strong fighter from king Kai's world and hell using the namekian dragonballs (I don't expect the namekians resisting he only wants a fair tournament) with 3 wishes:
1: Tell me who are the 16 strongest beings in the universe including dead beings.
2: Make said 16 warriors live and return them to their prime.
3: Create a squared ring 100 meters per side made out of the strongest element in universe 7 with holes on the ceilings in one of earth's oceans.
Use earth's dragonballs with 3 wishes:
1: Teleport everyone of the 16 strongest fighters in universe7 to the arena.
2: Replace the weakest one of the fighters with Bardock (a must).
3: Stop time for everyone but the people in the arena until a winner is found.

I feel that after the Tournament of power, cell was astonished by master ultra instinct Goku so after the tournament cell begins to fight other strong warriors across the universe then he discovers broly and realizes that he power is far beyond his own, so he make broly train with him to unlock ultra instinct

Couple things:
1. I am unsure if Cell can still use his tail. But I do not mind him being able to use it in the fight.
2. At least per his comments in DBFZ he "would absorb them [the androids] again if he still had the ability" so he would have probably needed to lose that part of him in the 6 months in the hyperbolic time chamber.
3. As for where he would go, he COULD go around the universe and end up discovering Broly.
4. He could also end up trying to get Whis to bring him to other universes.
5. He could stay and pester Gohan for more thrilling fights.
6. There is still a chance that Broly happens in a different way. The Frieza Force (centered around Kikono and Berryblue) could end up seeking new people like before (with Sorbet) even without Frieza present. This would end up with Broly being found, but when Paragus finds out Frieza is dead he likely finds out that Vegeta is still alive and brings Broly for his revenge.
we should make a plot twist where cell ends up being apart of the galactic patrol

I think cell would stay around and attempted training with the others. But I only really see Goku accept training with Cell

That last part where you asked us to decide the future. Here’s my suggestion:
I’d imagine that goku or vegeta could appeal to cell. “You want a good fight? Look at what just happened. Look at how much better more fun it was for you to fight alongside us. You are the perfect being right? Then stop letting that imperfect programming, from your imperfect father cloud your judgement and think for yourself. You don’t need to kill us, you just need a good fight and we can give it to you. If you can’t join us, at least coexist with us and we will promise you the most amazing fights”.
It’s basically a beerus situation where he is peaceful with them for what was at first good fights and a rival but eventually food. Same principle though.

Cell trains with Beerus to become the next God of Destruction (potentially competing with Vegeta for this title?).
If Cell trains alone the series runs relatively similar, perhaps with some exceptions in the Zamasu / Broly arcs. As you mentioned, Cell is both intrigued and terrified of Beerus, but he believes that if he is Perfect he can surpass even a God of Destruction. At first Beerus isn't interested in mentoring Cell, so Cell decides to get Beerus' attention by facing off against some of the arc villains. He wouldn't exactly be a rival of Goku & Vegeta since his main focus is Beerus, but he's not much of an ally either. I suppose since he has Vegeta's DNA you could excuse him saving the Saiyans from time to time by saying he wants to be the one to defeat the Saiyans ultimately and won't let anyone else take that prize from him. Cell impresses Beerus and earns his tutelage after defeating Broly with his Cell Jrs, using them to distract the berserk Super Saiyan and dispatch of him easier than Goku & Vegeta could've. Cell is tasked with destroying the greatest warrior he's ever faced and so he instant transmissions to Gohan and challenges him...
If Cell and Vegeta compete for the title then a lot of the series would need to be restructured and that's beyond me. Love the videos, you've got a great imagination while keeping things in the spirit of the canon I believe. Definitely helps to have something fun to watch with everything going on.
Here’s 2 ideas. Either have one, Bulma reprogram Cell and have her remove Frieza’s and Cold’s DNA (or at least the evil part) and add some of her DNA and other Z Fighters to make him good and join the Z Fighters or the asspull where the Z Fighters gather the Dragon Balls and have Cell turn good.
I think he would want stick around with the gang, Cell is someone who would constantly want to test his power and he problably knows that the gang attracts strong people.

During the tournament, Cell saw Frost, the other Saiyans, and possibly the other Namekians too, so he's aware that other universes have "duplicates" of people. What if he wants to search the other universes for his "duplicates" to test which is the most perfect?
