Many of those watches are on consignment. Not Tony’s, who knows how his parole hearing will go. I’m sure he won’t be able to leave Texas even if he doesn’t go back to prison for 6 months to a year. Parole WILL be extended that’s for sure. Either way what little stock that’s left is in limbo. Lucky for him the lease on the rental house was broken and the penthouse didn’t go through. It sucks for his staff. I feel bad for those people.
Watch dealers are middle class. Over spending to keep up with wealthy clients is madness. The client knows you’re struggling to keep up, it’s not a secret. Anthony was trying too hard. Archie is right, perhaps there’s an undiagnosed mental health issue. I’m not an expert but sounds like wise advice coming from the heart.

From what I could ascertain from listening to Roman Shaft - who actually was telling it to TPG who of course was not listening was as follows: That was to take care of your sales staff. In other words - to stop taking all the best customers for yourself and allow the sales staff to off their own hard work to establish their own list of clients and also have access to the big spenders. Otherwise, they will remain on a mediocre wage and their performance understandably drops. Roman went onto say be happy with the profit you make overall and allow others to prosper. Treat the sales staff fairly - and honestly. Imagine going into work each day - with the owner flexing with his private collection on display whilst they are left to share the crumbs. You are greedy - that is the scourge of your watch journey. You have failed to understand humility and in this case respect for those who feed you.
