Honestly, 95% of KTM owners know that regular oil and filter changes, top ends on the 250 and 300’s last ages for most. The TBI on paper is a 2 stroke. On the butt dyno, it’s a 3 stroke. Not sure if he mentioned it, but the new VForce4X they came out with for the TBI’s is also super impressive and relatively inexpensive mod. Definitely opened up the mid-range with a much stronger pull through the top.
It wouldn't matter there are so many 250s that will smoke 450 BUT no one will ride them because the Manufactures will not pay them!!!!! Manufactures make all there money on selling parts for 4 strokes! All the top riders know this...
Yea Fro! Great to see guys from my generation still tearing it up! And, for the record, F Carmichael on Saturday nights! Bring back Ralph and Jeff! Thank you Whiskey Throttle for the content!
I’d hate for you to see an off-road mudder, if the filter is oiled it shouldn’t suck water, chain and sprockets were fine, factory guys have no idea how to conserve.
@zachklamfoth7583 its a two stroke, they do not cost that much to rebuild. When you are seriouse about motocross and you are racing for contingency and cash payout then money is on the line. Its not worth risking a blown engine at the line when the 1 minute card goes up. Happened to me a few times and each time was my own fault
I've got a 300sx and what they talk about, linear powerband is just how the bike comes stock! Unreal machine, white map all day rippin or green map if you wanna wear yourself out quick 😅. Sure, putting race fuel in and a twisted map must refine things a touch (you'd hope) but they're just describing the character of the TBI 300sx in general. We have 99 ron pump fuel here in the UK, no one this side of a very good pro needs more power than that bike has stock😂. The stock suspension, including the air forks are also very good after 8 or so hours use.
Well, i rode one sand/mud race 4 years ago and after a pressure wash put the bike away for three years. The motor was fine, filter fell apart, steering bearings (serviced and well-greased before) were brown and locked up. Linkage was ok, just needed cleaning and grease. Some weird things can go wrong with bikes in a mud race.
Great job Jeff, it’s so good to see you riding getting to evaluation on the fuel injection on a two stroke helps me decide which way to go in the future. ❤🙏
I just finished watching (again) the 1996 Binghampton 250 National and then I saw this. Emig's late race pass on Albertyn in the second moto was great!!! Emig during the post race interview said about his battle with Jeremy at the time: This is as good as it gets. When asked about his response to Jeremy saying Steel City was his favorite track, Jeff's response: We'll see. Love both those guys.
Most of the guys in Cali. are so dependent on over rev that they have no idea how to ride a 2strock that actually has good power and and good mid range! They think all has to be be over revved when all you need is to shift up tp get more.. Good vid!
These are amazing bikes. Back to back tested with a '22 KX450. Nah, I'd rather smoke, for life. So agile, yet such a planted feel. I bought mine already dialed. My '24 only has a WMR flash, PC Works pipe, Enzo shock ReVlv and fork is Coppersmith hybrid Ohlin's spring cartridge/60 PSI WP. Front bites in flat corners and soaks up chop. I get no aches and pains from a day at the track and I'm old. My mod'd 200SX with STIC Super X carb and '17 YZ butter front end makes my forearms ache for like 4 days...YAT(fun Sleeper).
300 KTM for MX. Whoohooo! I have owned a KTM 300 EXC for 19 years...powerful and RELIABLE. Test rode a properly jetted 2020 KTM250SX. Scared the hell out of me!!! Yeah, the 300 has gotta be badass!!
They're 3-Strokes now! Best of both Worlds! 🎉 😅 Now when can I ride this one to compare between the three different FI 300's I personally have now too!!! 🤙
Super clean and trick bike before it was ever touched. Amazing what these guys think "a disaster" is. I would have rode the wheels off that thing in the before condition.🤣
I have this bike, but i feel it doesn't get the love it deserves. I know Ping doesn't care for them much, nor does the test guy in the video. He's as nice as he could be in agreeing with Jeff, but he didn't have many positives to say. He just agrees with jeff as he takes over the review. They must be an aquired taste, but I love mine 🤷♂️
Can a 300 2T be sneaked in with the 250 F's for a massive horsepower advantage just tell them it's a 250 then lead from holeshot to the chequers WINNING IS Everything JEFF 20% on top of 57 takes it to 68HP NO WAY
Im just glad to see Jeffro still riding a two stroke. The dude was the star of the early crusty videos.
Enduro guys shaking their heads worldwide with their 300hr bikes looking up at them in disgust. 😂

I couldn't tell you how many hours on my 300mxc 2005 model starts 3 rd kick every time and still pulls my arms out my sockets
Ain’t that the truth.
I am atm plus i dont even have a dirt bike atm and im thinking im fucked if with my New bike 😂😂😂
drowned my 2020 ktm 250xcw with 250Hrs about 20x in a year we talking about fully submerge till now still runs with no engine rebuilt lol
They should allow the mx300 bike to race in the 450 class. Would make thing interesting.
It would open up more options for new teams on a budget. Couldn't agree more.
Absolutely bruv

All the top riders know this...
@@bretmuldner i know but that would be fun ! Steinky was the last one i think to make the main on a 2 stroke.
Heck yeah, it's Jeffro! Good to see him still ripping on the track. What a legend. The Crusty King,
Cool!!
Did EMIG say "my dad" made the triple clamps? wow. cool!
Sounds good, looks good and sure to ride good! love it
His dad owns or owned a shop that made MX prodcts.
@@Iride505 Cool!
All that work needed after one race? Nice bike all the same. Love the 300 MX idea.
Yea Fro! Great to see guys from my generation still tearing it up! And, for the record, F Carmichael on Saturday nights! Bring back Ralph and Jeff! Thank you Whiskey Throttle for the content!
I am so SICK of listening to Ricky's mouth! Cant stand the man.
Yep just a little chain lube it would have been fine. One race oh no I need a rebuild, moto ex pro guys haha. I like your grips Jeff!
No shit just replace the whole bike ! 😂
I’d hate for you to see an off-road mudder, if the filter is oiled it shouldn’t suck water, chain and sprockets were fine, factory guys have no idea how to conserve.
oh no it got some mud on it! its ruined I need new wheels and plastics now! Here, fix my bike, peasant.
Hey... it's a good gig if you can get it.

I think this bike is the REAL vet superpower!!

I live by Loretta's and watched it all , it was a crazy wet week 😊
2:40 bummer thought we were gonna see it actually worked on
8:48 Bigger bummer when that flatulent sound happened
Thought it was going to be just the lovely sound of 300 2t.
Jeff is such a badass!

looks Very Cool. Its ready for the Emig Magic on the track.
Let's go baby 🤟🤟 love the 300 2 smoker
Question I wanna know is is it faster than your works kx250?

Dam it sounds soo good. Like a mini 500 2stroke
Most of the guys in Cali. are so dependent on over rev that they have no idea how to ride a 2strock that actually has good power and and good mid range! They think all has to be be over revved when all you need is to shift up tp get more.. Good vid!
Yer FRO awesome man🤙🏼🔥💯🎉oh yer love your grips too they feel comfortable and I seem to get less arm pump
I'll take the wheel set!! I call dibbs!!🙋🏽♂️
It was a bit of a letdown when he hit that estart button. Oh well ,it's still awesome to watch Fro ride.
Great stuff!!

Appreciate that Fellas 💪✌️😉
Loving my 25 tx300 husky
300 KTM for MX.

Goooooo Fro!!!!!!@@
Which fork insert is that? It looked like the KYB kit, but it had a red cap?
Now I'm torn between building yz300 and 1 of these
Nice seeing Jeff ride again how do you go 4 months with out it🙈
Awesome!
That bike sounds great. On another note, is the dirt at Perris as terrible as it looks?
Why would it have sand in the engine unless filter & filter skin (which shouldve been used) were not properly prepped🤔
What up Fro🤓😎🤙
Fro top secret about the engine work and hp numbers
I have this bike, but i feel it doesn't get the love it deserves. I know Ping doesn't care for them much, nor does the test guy in the video. Classic
It's a stroker 150?😮
LOL the bike was in better condition than 95% of peoples bikes out there this is hilarious
Is it a 2023?
I think if it's a 24 it's still a 23 because anything that changed between the two years he upgraded with aftermarket anyway. ECU and Suspension, etc.
I was wondering the same! I love the look and shape of this bike!
20% more horsepower?
= More heat into the clutch.
I wonder how the clutch will handle the extra stress?
They upgraded with a Hinson clutch
Waited through the whole video to find out how the grips perform lol.😂
Jeff and I have different definition of "complete mess".
If you want a two-stroke to run like a four-stroke just get a four-stroke. I like 2-stroke dna period.
That was kinda sad
I thought Emig had a deal with Husky? Which is what that 300 looks like...yet the title of the video says "KTM 300".
Can a 300 2T be sneaked in with the 250 F's for a massive horsepower advantage just tell them it's a 250 then lead from holeshot to the chequers WINNING IS Everything JEFF
20% on top of 57 takes it to 68HP NO WAY
Dude, can I buy your plastics?
Sounded fairly boggy
2 strokes that feel like 4 strokes, no thanks.
disgusting neglect of a bike 😅😂😅
Jeff makes Perris look like an ordinary MX track. That track IS a challenge for 60+ guys. LOL
