In 2003 I raced a borrow 2002 husky cr125 for a few months while I was waiting on parts and funds to rebuild my 02 yz250f that blew up. That bike was sweet, I absolutely loved it. Everything on it seemed top notch. If parts availability wouldn’t be an issue I’d buy one now.

Hey, if those Marzocchi forks are the same as a 2008 husky cr 125, modify the mid-valve travel to be double what it is. I race my 125 in the woods and had been told how that would help with headshake and deflections, and it did. Steve from Keytime motorsports did it for me

Lamson earned back-to-back championships when real men raced MX. These days, these kids are all too happy to just get through the first turn in one piece, then cruise to the checkers so they can cash their checks and buy a bunch of useless crap. Lammy raced when riders thought nothing of T-boning someone just for the position. If a 17 year-old Hannah showed up on the gate these days, he'd show these kids what real racing is all about.

First of all, Steve Lamson’s the real f-ing deal…one of the top racers from his time period, he got caught under the shadow of Jeremy McGrath who raced for factory Honda along side him, but search for _1996 Motocross Des Nations from Jerez, Spain_ & *WATCH* the 500/125 moto where Jeff Emig got the hole shot on a Factory Kawasaki USA KX500 & watch Steve Lampson catch him, pass him & beat him on a steel frame 1996 American Honda Factory Team CR125R (& Sebastian Tortelli from Team Green France caught, passed & beat Emig on a KX125) aside from that, in 2001 & 2002, Husqvarna wasn’t what it is today (over 20 years after their motorcycle division was absorbed by KTM) but…speaking as a retired pro who’s raced Factory KX125s, Factory team YZ125’s & YZ250’s, Honda CR125’s & CR250’s & Keith Johnson’s Factory Cannondale MX400. what Steve is saying is that pushing the 2001/2002 Husqvarna’s past 70% either the bike couldn’t handle it, or the bike wasn’t engineered well enough to handle him past 70%…on his American Honda bikes, he never had to push them more than 70%; the Showa forks that’s been revolved & rebuilt for what he wanted were more than enough to handle the level he was pushing them… the Husqvarna took an additional 3 weeks of testing & setup & the best point they got that bike to was “alright, I guess this’ll have to do”
