    Congratulations Oscar, keep doing what you're doing, your helping more people than Annoying certain people by revealing how the tricks are done, I think it's good to reveal them after a while, it makes them have to come up with new tricks, and not keep performing the same ones over and over again,

    Congratulations on 1 million subscribers of which I am proud to say I am one of them. I am also a member of your master class, which has helped me become a better magician, especially with cards as they happen to be my personal favorite of magic. It's a great milestone and proves that you have definitely made your mark in the magic world. I do remember this trick from 'way back ' as you say it and it is a real fooler. Congratulations again and keep the videos coming, which by the way are very professionally done, performed and explained.

    let's follow a random card from the spectator's pile. it can only be transferred to your pile after being turned over. if it wants to go back to the spectator's pile, it has to be turned over again. since each transfer from pile to pile equals exactly one flip of the card, it will always end up either in the spectator's pile in its original way or in your side turned over.
    vice versa for any card that starts from your pile.
    this means that after all the switches, you end up with a pile that consists of either cards that were in your pile originally and are now there still with their back sides up or cards that were originally in the spectator's pile and are now front sides up, while the spectator ends up with a mix of exactly the opposite.
    that may explain part of the trick.

    10x8(to the 67th power) is the est. # of ways to shuffle a deck. That's an eight followed by 67 zeros ! ! !. Grip your mind around that number. I love this card trick... Perhaps my favorite card trick of all time. I also set up the red cards using the even card's.. both jacks both Kings and the Queen of hearts and put that in my prediction as well. Without the secret setup this trick is nearly mathematically impossible... You'd have better luck winning the Powerball Lottery over a million times. And yes super congratulations on 1 million sir.

    • @DJF1947
      @DJF1947 4 місяці тому

      To a physicist, this trick is simply an aspect of the conservation of mass. There is a well-known 'experimental version': take a litre of water and a litre of ink. Take a spoonful of ink and put it into the water. Then take a spoonful of the 'contaminated' water and put it into the ink. A student is then asked whether there is more ink in the water or more water in the ink. A bright student realises that they are equal, and it does not even matter whether the water is stirred or not after adding the ink. Less bright students can then be convinced by ... using playing-cards.

    (Omg I tried now btw I am terrible about faro shuffle rarely all card mix up one by one but it work. Also I respect you again Oscar. Because other card tricks on this channel when I watch the tutorial section some part doesnt seems fair. But this trick we shuffled again again everything seems perfectly fair. You need to just ace of club position flip to deck. Its imposible the understand spectator side. Its very normal to fool you. This trick amazing. Thank you so much)

    I found a really cool way of showing "except the ace of spades"
    I know this works on iPhones with IOS 16 I don't know if it works on anything else, but in messages, have a friend text you "except the ace of spades" after so, you can click and hold down on that persons contact in messages and click "mark as unread" then when you do the trick before you start just tell the spectators that you got a text and you will look at it later, then show the audience at the end the text message while its unread...
    p.s. great trick its really fun to do...

    I never have the right amount of face down cards. I don't know what I am doing wrong.

  • @khurgar8120
    @khurgar8120 Рік тому +9

    The way it works is that since you always flip the cards before you give it to the spectator, and they do the same, and since you also flip either your own or the spectators piles you make sure that the cards you have in your pile is always in the opposite direction as the ones in the spectators pile.
    It gets easier to understand if you divide the deck into 2 parts where you have all the black cards and the spectator have all the red cards. As long as you always flip the cards before handing half the cards over to the spectator every single face up card in your pile will be red and every face up card in their pile will be black. So basically when you give them cards you give them black cards face up, and when they would give these cards back to you then turn them face down again.
    Its a really cool trick, and its not at all apparent how it works when you first see it. And it 100% fooled me the first time I saw it.

    • @MarcWilsonActual
      @MarcWilsonActual Рік тому

      Does that mean you need to do an even number of shuffles for this to work? Thanks.

    • @khurgar8120
      @khurgar8120 Рік тому

      @@MarcWilsonActual it should work either way as long as the orientation of the cards remain the same.
      Edit: and by the same I just mean that they get rotated as you hand half the pile over.

    • @MarcWilsonActual
      @MarcWilsonActual Рік тому
