The New AP Royal Oak Offshore! - Point Out What I Missed??

- Take a look at the latest AP Royal Oak Offshore model. This is not just a new variation. This is a completely new Offshore! This new model is now 43mm instead of the previous 44mm. That 1mm made a huge difference because these watches were starting to fit a bit large for some of the people that have average size wrist. The case now has larger chamfered edges that give it a striking bolder look. Another big change is the full ceramic buttons, this is something that I like because the previous version was plagued by just loosing the ceramic tips off the buttons. One of the biggest and obvious changes is the new dial sub dial configuration. Previously the 44mm had the dials at the 12,6,9 position where now they are located at a much more balanced position like the Royal Oak Chrono line up(this is what was missed!). Movement was upgraded to the new Calibre 4401 from the Code 11.59 model with a 70hr power reserve and a flyback function.
The one thing that really shocked me is the new strap quick change feature which at this point may have been long overdue! They executed this flawlessly! Overall I love the look and feel of this new model!

Hey Eric, curious on your take on the women's side of the watch industry. What % of your clients are women, and what is keeping the industry from tapping into more of that side of the market? It seems like jewelry and accessories are more heavily marketed towards women, except when it comes to higher end timepieces.
The position of the date has also moved. Great video! I have a summer edition Byblos, I wear it mostly with the blue strap.
I will definitely look into the models.

Never been a huge AP fan but this is very cool. A lot of cool improvements to the design and wearability. First class overview as always and thanks to your friend for loaning the piece for this overview.
Amazing how little things may not be noticed as much, but it makes a HUGE difference. Love it! The Navy Blue in Titanium OMG. I could perfectly forgive the lightness because of the looks!!

Great video Eric! Lucky enough to have picked this exact model up this week and have noticed 3 things you missed! The dial has x’s that I believe are new between the squares, the 12 hour sub dial is only 4/8 instead of 3/6/9 and finally the buckle also has a quick release feature so no tools are needed (just pop it up and it slides right off)! Probably know all this but my sales associate had no clue about the buckle and I found out cause it accidentally fell off lol

This is actually a BEAUTIFUL redesign!!!
Checked them out at the boutique last month and here are some additional things that they mentioned:
-the bezel is slimmer at the 6 and 12 o clock to give it an overall slimmer profile (you can tell when you lay it side-by-side with the 44mm)
-the mega Tapisserie dial is finished to a higher detail with tiny vertical lines, if you look at the ombré dial colorway it seems almost holographic, similar to your regular royal oak dial
- bigger hands and indices with more lume
-They give you two straps
Such a beautifully designed watch and very well thought out. Piece of art for sure-and for the very lucky who have the roll to afford...sadly that will never be me. Love the videos-backdrops are gorgeous-keep it coming!

I do like the 43mm and I'm glad they brought back the rose gold and black with the ceramic bezel.
Although no sound, the time piece is still a complete badass piece, no question.

I have a love - hate relationship with the offshores, they have an awsome design and and it makes you look really badass... but the thing I hate about them is that I can´t use them because they are too chunky for my skinny wrist and I would look like a clown wearing one of those. The thing is tho that you cant just stick the hublot strap back with ease, you have to actually press the button to put the strap back, which makes it quite safe. Really love the way AP has done it tho, and I prefer it.
Looks sexy but to be honest I’ve owned a 42rg ten years back and then forced myself to like the 44mm RG I bought 1 year back, had to put a medium strap to make it fit but I ended up selling it! Don’t know how this fits but I think the 42mm was jsut the best offshore in RG. The rubber bezel one
I had the exact same issue, tried this 43rg l2l is 47 only so fits smaller than 42 almost like a sub therefore had to get it and absolutely love it..

@@WatchEric One (minor) thing to notice is the differences in numbers that appear on the subdials. seconds are 20/40/60 instead of blank; hour counter is 4/8/12 instead of 3/6/9/12 and minute counter is the same. So weird how they chose the counter labels!

Hi Eric. I want to buy a full gold bracelet for my AP royal oak chrono from the AP store in dubai. Do u think the new bracelet will match my 2017 gold AP ( since I didn’t wear it much) or do u think the watches oxidation will show and be a big miss match in shades of gold? The AP boutique guy said if we polish it , it will look like new but I dont know if polishing is a wise decision. Ur advise would be highly appreciated 🙏

You missed the most important thing bro. The lugs are now curving more downward that will brace your wrist even better for smaller wrist size.
