I appreciate EXACTLY what you guys went through with that job...A War Stories pour, if ever there was one...:)
That was some nice work done by Mike there in the end. You are right about finding good workers, it takes years to build a great team but when you get there you're good.
Ya got one hell of a good group of guys hard working and great at their jobs and when everyone gets along like ya all do it just makes the job easier and more enjoyable one hell of a job as always and can’t wait till the next one and seeing how I’m in ur back yard some day ied like to meet up with ya and and the guys and have lunch or coffee with ya all have a good one
Looks great, really see the hard work this one took and feel for you haha. Man you poor guys need a line pump service out there. We dont have many basements in Arizona, but any time I have to do more than a yard or two inside a house I can pump the job for 4-500 bucks. Its pretty rare for me to wheel anything. If I cant hit it with a chute or would have to wheel/ ferry with a skid steer/ or rake more than a few feet I spec a pump in. From what I have seen it looks like small line pumps are not as common in other parts of the country. We love them here out west.
On that new trailer get some fluid film and spray up tube pockets and any areas on the underside you can it will lengthen the life and hope you can keep it from using in the winter
This is typical of the basements in the houses we built back in my day. We always put 3/4” plywood rips on top of the footing around the walls leading to a sump pump pit but we never used any wire on the basements. After the concrete cured we pulled the plywood out, and it created a place for any water seepage to get to the sump pit. We used the floor joist as a level and used a stick cut to the concrete height. We didnt have lasers, just transit type levels, but the stick worked well.
I bought a new Sure-Trac dumper before covid and can't believe the price hike since, it doubled. They all now have went to this ridiculous barn door tailgate, there has been many times with the normal tailgate where I have it flat, can't imagine driving with the barn doors open. Nice job, luv my trailer.
How about you there Bondo . I am trying to put up a shop this year so I am learning more about concrete work. I'm in Oklahoma and the finishers around here are not doing it near as good as you and the boys. Do you have any advice for a fan ? Thank you for all that ive learned so far !!
I am sure you have different rates for no egress basements. I would charge 25% extra . Just curious Bondo, do you quote be the Sq ft to pour and finish the add on for grading etc.
Got a question would like your opinion, I need 7 yds poured and my driveway is 150' they did an awesome job it is edged with 21/2" thick pavers with at least 3" of concrete underneath so I am guessing the average thickness of the driveway is at least 5" there is no one section bigger than 10 x 10 its all been saw cut into a really nice pattern and the driveway is at least 15 years old, if it was your house or job would you allow the concrete truck on it?
Need to get yourself a set of old ice tongs, weld some chains on the handles, and you got an instant chute hanger that can be set up in a second, and is infinitely adjustable. Old masons like me called that stick a story pole. And Gopher has an unfair advantage over the other wheeler, he’s jet💨propelled! LOL
@@bondobuilt386 I don’t know if you do small tear out, and re-pour jobs, but I will get in touch with you soon to see if you have something more substantial locally that you might want to supplement with a small pour at my house. It’s about 5 yards and pretty straight forward, with easy access.
Why didnt you mark the wall with the story pole in the corners then snap a chalk line to get a mark around the perimeter ! I did a lot of basements like that ! Biscuit better be careful getting that sunburn ! I use to get sunburn a lot when I was younger and paid for it later with spots of skin cancer I had to get surgically removed ! Should be covering up more when in the direct sun ! Now I wear a hat and long sleeve shirts when out in the sun ! Just a word of advice !
Buy or make a chain that hooks to the joists, I don’t know I’ve only ever called it a “hangy chain”. They sellem if you’re ever in Haverhill ma I’ll give you one of mine. Then put another chute on a sawhorse under that, sometimes a third chute. I’ve never even heard of people wheelbarrowing floors regularly until UA-cam.
Finally, somebody hand finish behind the machine, I’m confused as why he has a hand float for leaner tho should have a burn trowel, he’s scrubbing to much one hand. He’s decent, I would of hit that trowel mark left

@bondobuilt386 hey Bondo we demod the milwaukee 24" trowel. 30 minutes of run time on the dot on a battery. $6400. Battery is $1000, charger extra, 65 minutes to charge it. Did one hell of a job I must say just a huge investment.
Exceptional crew, team work, coordination and a shout out to the fella in the blue shirt on the finishing work.
That's a real nice trailer!! Nice work on that floor, doesn't look like a fun job at all but you guys stay positive and get it done
Great job Bondo! You have the best crew. Good luck with the new dump trailer.

Like your little buddy riding shotgun! Nice job… glad the big boys had a Big window to get through !
Thanks and yes that egress window helped out.
nice team effort getting the basement job done. really enjoyed the added verbal banter, and you kept it clean too! LOL

good luck with trailer great job on basement
Thanks John.
Been working on your property lately, I know it's been terrible weather up here lately. Just waiting for a video or update.
I have done some more clearing up there. I am going to post a video when I burn that brush pile. LOL
Great job. Nice trailer.
Continue to enjoy your videos. FYI. I go by the Brentwood wheelbarrow plant in Reading, Pennsylvania, every day
Awesome. They make the best wheel Barrow IMO

Thanks for being you.
New here. I love the channel, but you should add some music to the time-lapse. You scared the shit out of me when you started talking back. 😂
Great job, great work. I'm curious, why don't you line-pump?
Cost and availability. I would rather pay my guys more and not have to coordinate with a pump truck.

Call the concrete companies in your area and ask them who are there top masons that they pour for. and that might help get you the best in your area.
@ thanks bondo , really enjoy your show!!
Love your new trailer. I have a 10ft (7000# gross, 5200# net) dump trailer that's been well loved the last ten years or so.
no plastic sheet ?

I just use sq foot to help me figure out what I want to charge. I try not to quote in sq feet. To many variables like this job. LOL
Y’all did great considering there’s no opening! That’s crazy! I’ve never seen a basement like that before.

Get some plywood and have the driveway covered where the tires go. Cheap insurance.
@@bondobuilt386 Thanks for responding.
Out working by Turning Stone today was looking for your truck with the dog
We do not get that way to often.
I did construction for about 7 years, pouring a lot of concrete. Mostly pools, wastewater, and water plants. I can smell all of these videos.
I definitely understand what u mean by that. lol 😂

Concrete put off a lot of heat and humidity as it sets. It can be stiffling, glad everyone is OK.
Yes but I think the CO2 was bad too.
Where I live we just finished building are house are concrete had to be wet because of the temperature is very hot
Looks like 2 days of hard pouring. The guys did a great job getting the basement floor done with poor access.
Did you under slump? I've never seen anyone pour it as dry as you guys.
Dry concrete is strong concrete that won't shrink much. Bonus we get to go home at 8PM instead of 12am. LOL
@@bondobuilt386 Roger that. As long as you got the crew to get it done right go zero slump!
