Great video! Loved everything you showed and I love thrifting. Once people know you crochet or knit they will remember you when they are spring cleaning and give you yarn, hooks, etc...
So HAPPY to have come across your channel! I really enjoy your videos and I'm learning about things in Japan! Thanks for sharing! The light weight yarn is good for bookmarks or just doubling up with another yarn to add an extra layer of texture or color. Your cats are wonderful! Have a blessed day!
I've come to love the thin stuff, as long as it's not wool (recently discovered allergy, but I'll be trying superwash as soon as my hands are done with their freak-out) - if nothing else, hold multiple thin strands together and invent your own custom colorway... Great finds, I'm a little jealous! Have a great day! 🐞
@@wildrows ya, I'm not sure where this came from - I have merino socks, for crying out loud! So I'm hoping the superwash thing will be the answer (the socks are machine wash, so 🤞).
Life had been hard all around the world. My lovely hubby found me 1949 yarn. made a bag and laminated the tags will be putting on the bag. I have gotten nice wool ect. I dumpster dive. go girl 😊
I shop thrifts all the time Patience is key Last score 7 skeins Misty Alpaca #5 $.99 ea ! Name brands for same price with labels. They rearranged the store so now a disadvantage But I shop off days when employees are restocking .
I wish I could find that that's my budget but they never have any I'm trying to get my yarn stash going a friend helped with some yarn I had none so I'm greatful
Hi! I’m relatively new to your channel. What kind of yarn/ what brand do Japanese use? Is Noro just as popular and expensive as in US? What about crochet hooks and knitting needles brands?
Hello there! Noro is just as expensive here, and it really isn't my favorite. I am doing a yarn shopping day, and I am going to be looking for Japanese yarn brands. I will definitely share what I find! :)
Wow, does that store have a website for the kits? or even a Kimono's. How long have you been living in Japan now? Do you understand their language? You need to tell you story in a video. LOL
They do not, sadly. I may actually be able to do a kimono giveaway as well! I may start putting some Japan related videos here too (in a separate playlist). Thank you so much for being here and the great ideas for some new videos. ☺️❤️

Ooooo!!!! Bookmarks are an awesome idea. Thank you. ☺️❤️
Love the yarns! Amazing finds!!
Cool finds! I get a lot of my yarns from thrift shops here I the US. Love the treasures and the creativity to figure out what to create. 😀

That’s an awesome idea! Thanks. I get the “sudden allergy”. I’ve found myself not being able to wear some wools without a massive reaction.

That’s amazing! 1949??? I can’t even imagine how cool that is. Yes, I will absolutely jump in a dumpster for a box of yarn! 👍🏼💗
Is that a macrame curtain behind you. I love it
It is! I picked them up on Amazon a while ago. ☺️

Check marketplace too. Sometimes they have a great deal on yarn. 💗

@@wildrows agreed. Noro is extremely overpriced and colors are wild.
