Blind man sees family for the very first time

A local man who is nearly completely blind was able to see his wife and three children for the very first time Friday, thanks to a new high tech pair of glasses called E-sight.

So excited that there is this technology. Also that no insurance covers it. And so only rich blind people can have their sight restored. Seems about right. Glad for this guy though.

Oh, grow up. Of course people with money benefit from technological advances first - that’s just common sense. Doesn’t mean it’s not great news about what lies ahead for the general low vision population.
