What if we made a national GoFundMe to give every colorblind a "free" enchroma glasses and call it "Public healthcare" instead of feeling like a good guy for doing charity?Oh,wait, every developed country already has it
Imagine that though? We take for granted every color we can see and all of a sudden you get to see a new set of colors you have never seen before? I can't even imagine how incredible that would feel.
Sweetie pie. This video is wonderful. And I LOVE that his teacher said, "Come here, Dude!" and hugged him. Mad respect for grown men who embrace young men when they emote. 💜
I work in a school and it's completely against regulations to physically touch a student in any way, even if it's just a supportive hug. I along with other staff have been given multiple 3 hour lectures discussing that it's inappropriate and potentially dangerous to the staff member to make any physical contact with a student. Of course, as there are double standards between men and women, so women don't usually get pulled up on it.
@@FoxenPiano So you're saying you've been brainwashed? I hope it seriously conflicts with your ability to think for yourself so you can be in touch with feelings of empathy.. just like the sympathetic principal in this clip clearly is.
Absolutely amazing can you imagine seeing new colors and realizing how much more beautiful the world is and that you been living up that point not knowing and without the kindness of the people around you, you’d have never known. I choked up several times writing this so I can’t imagine how he feels living it.
That isn't how those glasses work. Colorblind people have no way of actually seeing proper colors. The glasses make it easier to distinguish between different colors by shades. Green, for example, would look like a darker yellow for those with a common type of colorblindess. They usually look the same without the glasses.
They don't actually see colors. They can't. The glasses just make it easier to distinguish colors they can't see by making them appear in darker *shades.* Green would look like a darker yellow to them, for example.
@@gusfalk Well, I rephrased my comment to cater your needs for factual information. After all, "emotion" in current medical science is still largely a subjective matter.

I love it when they first put the glasses on and start seeing colors. It’s like there is a pause in the whole universe and then things start up again.
My 2 daughters and I purchased these glasses for my husband a few years ago. He’s red/green color blind. It was a snowing winter day so there wasn’t a lot of color outside, but he noticed the fluorescent green road signs. He was shocked by that color. So glad you raised the money to get them.
