- This man was born colorblind and he lived 66 years without being able to see the color around him. However, on his birthday, his family surprised him with a pair of glasses that finally allowed him to see a whole new world filled with color. As soon as he put them on, he couldn't help but burst into tears of joy as he looked at the vivid scenery around him.

I’ve tried to imagine what it would be like to go from seeing a gloomy and grey world to seeing a bright and colorful world for the first time. It makes me feel so fortunate to be able to see the bright blue sky and the diverse leaf colors of autumn. That man never saw all the colors up until then. Couldn’t even imagine how he felt. Wholesome and heartwarming video.💜

I know. But there is a DBS within walking distance of me and I know they do a lot of helpful things for people with a range of DB needs. For instance, they help poor people get prescription glasses, which has nothing to do with any sort of blindness. I thought it would be a logical place to call if you want to help. They might know where to go if they don't help. But no, you had to be a dick.
The cost varies. Go to the Enchroma website and they show the styles and prices.

They don't make you see new colour. Just helps you distinguish colour based on saturation.

@@quit9003 I'm well aware of the videos that denounce the color blindness glasses as a scam, but I also have seen videos of people putting them on and getting excited to the point of tears, like this man. So they're obviously seeing something different and thrilling regardless of the criticism.
I love how they surprised him.. They didn't let him know what it is so he totally didn't saw it coming and his reaction was priceless.. Like a kids who suddenly become so excited to touch new things. Thank you for sharing your precious moments.

A lot of technology can cure things. Look at vaccinations, laser eye surgery, chemotherapy (which I know isn't 100%) and even now there have been some amazing research into curing people of AIDS and HIV although still experimental.

I think this is an awesome gift! I love watching someone getting to see colours for the firs time, this is something I have always taken for granted and have tons of appreciation for Color! So may beautiful things in vast arrangements of color living and non living. Now take him to a reef tank with corals and fish there is a sight to see.
