I just got one of these tuners myself and REALLY wish there was a link to a video showing exactly how to position and apply it properly for best results. Couldn’t even find any videos on the XCMAN website, which I thought was pretty odd - definitely disappointing at the least. What’s really stupid is that the only instructions that came with it show a completely different tuning device in the illustrations, so they’re basically useless. It seems to me though, that for the base-cut u should turn it around from what is shown here in this video, so that the majority of the file isn’t dragging down the waxed base of the board (or ski). However, I’m only speculating without being able to find any reliable demonstrations of this model tuner. I’d love to hear from anyone who knows where to find one, or who can verify the proper way to use it. So far I’m not too thrilled about buying mine, and will be returning it if I can’t find a good tutorial soon.
I just bought one and am unsure filing the base edge. There doesn’t seem to be a way to do it? The edge sharpening is easy though. Other tutorials have shown me. Any idea with the base edge?? I’m hoping that in 10 months, you would have figured this out for me 🤞🤞
Bought the tuner kit from XCMAN and yeah NO instructions at all with the edger! VERY DISAPPOINTING, even trying to find instructions online are bad, and in this video there is no explicit detail on exactly they are doing and which part of the tool is too be used. 10/10 WOULD NEVER BUY XCMAN again
Yeah. That can be avoided simply by wrapping tape once or twice around the end of the file. A lot of people use the file without the plastic holder. The layers of tape determines the angle of degrees.

Same. Manual has typos. This video kinda helps but still need more guidance.
I didn't know you could do the base! please include video link in your product
