LMT 12" piston shovelnose is my fav! I would recommend Super 42 H2 or H3(if all you shoot are mil-spec 62-77gr, in a non-freezing environment) buffer to get that perfectly consistent 3:30-4:00 ejection. It recoils so soft and runs so smooth, making my MK18 feel like a larger caliber when side by side. Screw HK, this thing is better all around and can be had for equal or below MSRP.
Late to the party but hey, don't DI guns are in general smoother than piston guns? Especially the middy ones, compared to something like a 416 which runs gassier than a steam locomotive
@@kratzlaff308 Well, I don't have enough info to confirm or deny your 'in general'. At least I know the LMT 12'' piston is excellent, mine ejects consistently just before the angle of the brass deflector with(S) or without(N) a can.
@@kratzlaff308 It was also shot suppressed indoor, I didn't at all notice any gas in the face even when using SF 60rd mag. A DD MK18 with the same buffer, can, ammo by comparison almost jumps like a PCC.

Yo hunter, do you remember what muzzle device was on the 10" piston build? I'm assuming it didn't have the labyrinth seals so it got gunk all over your hands. Pretty crazy collection though, holy shit. I have the 12" piston, but the 10" piston sounds like my dream build.

@@hunter-constantine Yeah, even LMT 16'' DI with Huxwrx required a super42 H2 in my experience. It still ejects ~2:00 with mil-ball ammo.

There’s a couple of actions out there that were released since filming; I believe this is still the only complete LMT bolt gun out there.
