How to change the engine oil+filter on a Fiat Panda 169 2003 2012

Here's how to change the the engine oil and filter on a Fiat Panda it's a 2010 with 169 engine but this will apply to other models etc. There's a few basic tools you will need which we cover in the video, the job is easy enough and thanks for watching!

Since the oil plug is conical, tightening it too much can damage the mating surface

Always try and prime filter, in this case all you need to do is park the car on its doors first....lol
I have one of these, but I hate filters mounted on their sides don't you?!
I wonder how long it takes to fill before you get pressure?
Oh and tightening...... they say finger finger or hand tighten only, mainly so seal doesn't push out, and so next person can have it orf...😁

@@DanielJohnHowTo I once had a job to change the filter etc on a rover V8 fitted to a triumph stag.....
They hadn't fitted a remote filter kit etc so the only way I could change it was to remove the radiator!
The worst job was to "simply fit head and gaskets to a Renault 5 turbo"....
They neglected to mention that number one piston had turned into shrapnel!
Just a hole and rod!
So.... pistons came with liners..... they all had to protrude equally on the top/ deck..... you need a matching set of 4 or be good with lathe!...
