I go to a ton of different beaches. It’s important to familiarize yourself with the law wherever you want to go, because there are a lot of areas that are off limits to metal detecting. I know these vids are old… but they are brand new for me…. It’s wonderful that you can bring joy to peoples life’s at a point where it could have been a sad memory for them.. but you made it a precious memory instead. I went out detecting for the first time ever yesterday while walking thru a park with my 70yo wife… I had the detector for a year in the box.. the batteries were flat.. I turned it on.. got one hit before the batteries died..and it was a $1 coin.. ha..

Not afraid even a little bit. The odds of getting attacked by a shark are insanely slim. Its always a treat to see a shark or any other kind of sea life when I'm out there. I do avoid jellyfish though!!
I was just thinking about sharks today, when I lived in California I used to buy shark steaks, haven’t seen them even one time here in N Tex, but there are often swordfish advertised, but I don’t care for them as much as Shark.
What do you do with the phones you can't return? I metal detect in Myrtle Beach and have a box full of phones that are ether toast or work but I can't get past the pass code. Thought about selling them as junk phones on ebay, but not sure if that is frowned upon or not. I have been able to return a few when I can identify the owner, but have no way of doing that on most. Thanks for the videos.

We live about an hr and a half away from Galveston. I would NEVER get in the water that deep! I wish our water was this clear.

Ive detected around a bunch of sharks. They never bother you. The key is to never splash or make any quick movements

Always check for SD-Cards in cellphones. Usually, they'll work after a little cleaning.
This one had a slot for an SD card, but no card in it!
