I am near 80 YO. I am staying with my daughter who is an ICU nurse at the local hospital here in Oceanside, CA. She works night shifts . She has 3 school children. In order for her to get plenty of sleep when she gets home from work, I do most of all the household chores around the house. I just finished washing the dishes, sweeping and mopping the floors while doing all that I am at the same listening to the 50 greatest music compiled together. Without it I probably wouldn’t be as inspired to do the household chores. With it the cleaning was a breeze! Everything is cleaned and organized and I am happy inspired by these sweet piano pieces! All my 3 grandchildren take piano lessons . My daughter took piano lessons and very good at it!😊

I am 85, lost father in the Korean War, but classical music has always been my solace thanks to my father.
I’m a retired nurse, will be 72 this year. I know how it’s like to work nights as I’m sure I know how grateful your daughter is to your extremely supportive acts. I am also a grandmother of 8 and I appreciate that you are there for yours. My husband and I rotate at our children’s homes so we could be there for their needs. We were there for every child born to our family, to clean their homes, cook, take care of mother and baby. This is all done with love so we might become tired physically but there is fulfillment and satisfaction. And yes, I love listening to this kind of music, soothing and inspiring music that speak to our soul. Please stay healthy and engaged with life. We need to have more of the kind of grandmother you are.
My grandma passed away 2 days ago and I've receiverd the honor to read a speach at her funeral the day after tomorrow. I have been inspired by this beautiful music which is a blessing from God. Hope all of you will spend as much time as possible with you loved ones ❤️
I am 92 I have only just found out about the instrument piano and I love it. The modern world amazes me; that I can have a little piano in my cell phone is so beautiful. It reminds me of my wife in her youth... I miss her every day. She passed away recently and I've thought about her laugh every time I've played this video.
❤❤❤
Wonderful!
I've been playing the piano since I was 6 years old and now I'm 15. I love classical music so much but no one at my age feels the same way.
I think the piano is a magical instrument and I'm especially in love with Chopin, Bach, Beethoven and Schubert (Sorry for my bad English but I'm not fluent in English)
im 15 too and i love classical music so much, i thought im the only one who appreciates classical music, im happy to find someone who loves classical music as i do
Your English is excellent!
Same story I’m 17 and I can just listen to these songs as I just have a strong connection to all of it
Classical music is far more complex than pop tunes. Your friends are not familiar with that type of music. Classical music is not 3-minute long, but 30-minute long. Many pop singers, such as Rod Stewart, have turned to singing classic jazz late in life.
Paula, keep playing, please. My three kids just started and there are too many pianos in the world that yearn to be played by people like you and my kids. All the best!
I always loved playing the piano, and love lisening to Classical music. I lisien to it all day and im only 13 years old. Classical music opened another door to my life, due to classical music I now have been playing piano for 6 months by now. In the future I will also be playing the violin. I have many problems in my life but Classical music is another life. Classical music is an experiance and something you cant live without. Classical music is something and I hope you will all find this expirience.Thank you all for reading, I will never stop playing classical music it is a dream and classical music is something to get out of the black hole. Also as much as I wrote this is as much as I think how important it is to share this.
To the person reading this .. remember that everything begins within you. You are light you are peace you are harmony.
Lesson One of every individual must be this.

This comment is my favorite one in this video I liked the comment and love your speech it is something that we never hear and that is soo true.
One must first read its writer to his soul as what is given well to make a reputable calling for any judgement. Work is a made to feed your love and feelings to share to others. No matter what kind of artist you are.
"It's crazy to think how many people are probably listening to this kind of greatest natural music right now all around the world, sleep well my friends ❤😴
finalmente puedo escuchar la lluvia sin que se me inunde la casa"
My Dad Harold Collinge was a fabulous pianoist 1909 - 1992 ❤️
this makes me miss my teacher sooo much He was a real special person and He loved classical music...it was his life...
Hopefully you feel better and relaxed, not sad. Much love.
I'm going through a break up, just separated with her today and I needed something to just ease my soul and this came by as I was listening to meditation music, and the music is really helping me balance out my thoughts, thank you so much.
This is my favorite music and listen to it everyday.
I've been taking piano lessons for 4 years and I'm 67, just for the love of music.
@Elizabeth Schaeffer, and @Patricia Malone I pray you are well
Hi
Growing up, my extremely talented, academy trained musician mother would play many of these same pieces on her baby grand all though my youngest but impressionable years… and although she expected nothing from me as I would often be playing with my toys on the parlor floor next to her on the piano… she would gaze over to see if I was listening every once in awhile, and indeed I did listen as time passed with more and more intensity…what she gave me was beyond words, a gift of music appreciation and comprehension … so grand a gift it was from a loving Mom to her son, I NOW CRY TEARS OF JOY EVERY TIME I HEAR THESE MASTERPIECES PLAYED as I reminisce her Zen like smile as she played them… Thank you Mom (she’s gone now) and thank you for posting these classics on YT.. : )
Your loving son

I have enjoyed classical music my whole adult life. A had all 5 of my kids playing by the time they were in the 3rd grade, my only daughter at 3 on the piano. These pieces take me back to those days. I so enjoyed listening to them play together at Xmas time.
Stunning, unmatched display of musical kindness to UA-cam listeners. Priceless.
Im 16 years of age and I have been wanting to play piano since I was little but never got chance. I cant describe or explain why i love classical music, especially the piano. Its like natural medicine to me, it cures my sadness and stress and it makes me happy and filled with joy.
Keep enjoying, no need for explanation. ❤
I hope you pursue it, piano playing is a pleasure I've had in my life for 53 years. Get yourself a little keyboard (music schools, colleges sell them used) and try the play piano tutorials on UA-cam or take lessons from a music school student student. Good luck!
@@kAe8560 yes now Im playing Van Gogh by Virginio Aiello thank you so much!!
Thank you for all these great piano pieces my late husband learned how to play like most young kids..till the cry of baseball pulled him away. Then when he met me I was friends with a group of musicians all attending a local university in the music department and so my husband found a retired pianist and started taking lessons again. When we got married, the pianist and his wife gave us for a wedding present 4 tickets for the Detroit Symphony. I miss hearing him play and I miss those old friends whom we had so much fun with. We were all in our early 20s once we went to hear and see Leonard Bernstein conduct one of his pieces
, Prelude, Fugue and Riffs. fav rendition is with Benny Goodman playing clarinet. Thank you again

Dear friends at Halidon, I am sure I speak for all of us on this music loving community that this presentation is particularly lovely. Thank you so much and greetings to you all from South 👋🇿🇦
This compilation is a gift to my ears and the love of solo classical piano. I play it with headphones as I work in the biotech field. It lifts my energy, expresses the myriad of human emotions, and reminds me of the beauty of timeless art. How human beings have endeavored to create such beauty remains a mystery - something that touches the depths of one's soul. Thank you, thank you!!
When I lived in Korea as a little kid, my mom owned piano academy with 10 pianos. She taught me piano at age 9 and I loved it right away. She had many students as she is a very talented pianist and teacher. My wrist has been In terrible pain almost a year from swelling. I hope it stops so I can get bk to playing.
I lost my mother in death in 2020, then I crashed, had a bad bout with depression for five months. Chopin’s nocturnes are cathartic to my soul .🥀

Classical music is the food for your soul and mind, I play music to help me to be more relaxed and strangely it develops my thinking processes ao anyone out there who has never heard such beautiful music try and see what millions of classically minded people love. Thank you for sharing this music
Thank you for sharing my recordings alongside with those wonderful artists.
He refused to have his waltz played until he learned of andre rieu! Respect!
31 years old, loving this music over my generation music...
I don't know why some of us connect with a certain musical instrument, but for me it is the piano. From classical to some jazz pieces, my soul's hunger finds both excitement and peace satiation. So grateful for these beautiful piano pieces.
Yes and Violin is also amazingly expressive
Recently I often listen to these pieces of music befor bed. It helps me a lot with sleep disorder. I fall asleep during half of the video. Goodnight everyone 🌈🌈
Oh wow I hope your doing ok! I also have a sleep disorder except I can't breathe in my sleep but music relaxes my throat muscles to breathe. But gn🥺💗 🌈✨
This is my little granddaughter's introduction to classical music, piano especially. She is overwhelmed with the beauty, simplicity, and access online to these classics. It was like a whole world opened to her as I had this great music playing and started to explain to an 8 year old. Wonderful......
That's amazing. Thanks for sharing.

Okay that Chopin nocturne op 9 no 2 at 3:14 is absolutely the most melodic and emotional rendition of the piece I have ever heard.
We're so glad you like it, thank you! The pianist is Vadim Chaimovic, if you want to look him up here on UA-cam or on Spotify - he's pretty great 🤗
I am 150 years old and can remember listening to this! Thank you UA-cam
I am 85 and it's relaxing to the soul.
how even people can dislike this. broke my heart 💔
They disliked it probably because they don't think these are the 50 greatest piano pieces of their choice.
Они не меломаны и случайно открыли эти прекрасные записи
Because Chopin Ballade no.1 is not in this list and many of the pieces in this list is just not as beautiful as it.
I don't really agree with the title of '50 greatest', but it's a nice selection of beautiful pieces.
Out of all the words in the dictionary, not one word can describe the video. It's more than the most positive thing in the world.
The music is a gift. It brings smiles on my face.

Is the Debussy Arabesque #1 on here?! YES! IT IS! Definitely one of the greatest adagio/legato pieces of music ever written, for any instrument actually

Although I do not play, I have an appreciation for those who do, and a particular reverence for these timeless pieces. It is bittersweet as I listen in peaceful joy, yet endure an opaque sense of regret that I didn't learn to play.

Thank you for these beautiful piano pieces. They are sooo beautiful and relaxing, gives peace to me.🥰
These classical music helped me too finish all of my school works.
The quality of this music must be recognized as among the gifts we receive from Above!
The first piece by Robert Schumann is beautiful beyond words. A new picture or PBS story needs to be made of Clara and Robert Schumann - she was a beauty, the love of Brahms life - his last pieces were dedicated to her. This is a wonderful story with great music to go with it - Clara was more famous and popular than Robert - one of the most famous women pianists of her time. Long ago a bad movie was made with Katherine Hepburn in the lead - forget the name -
Wonderful music! This music brings tears to my eyes. Thank you very much!
I LOVE and adore everthing in these 50 compositions..my favorites are by Chopin,Mozart,Beethoven,Schumann,Brahms,Schubert and J.S. Bach.
That's such a pleasure to hear, thanks! You listed so many of the Greats 😍
God bless you Mr Halidon

Brings back wonderful memories of the piano lessons and hours of practicing during my childhood and teen years.
Me too. However, since the 1967 Swine Flu Vaccination, required by my nursing school, I developed Focal Hand Dystonia & can't play chopsticks. I loved playing so many of these masterpieces & I miss it so much. But b/c of that damned vaccination, I had to drop out of nursing school, & w perfect grades too... I could no longer write. Do u think I would ever take the current scam vaccination? Hell NO!! Vaccinations have taken enough from me already.
Huh? When I was young, sitting inside practicing was the last thing I wanted to do! But now that I am old, I have keyboard and musical skills that serve me well. Practicing has become an important part of my day, and the piano is a big part of my life. Most important, music is something I have always shared with my friends--and will do so to the end of my days.
@@bobsteiner9209I play piano on and off, just in my free time, as I don’t own a piano. However I found I never really wanted lessons and wanted just to learn on my own. I can’t read sheet music and can only hum the tunes but i have fun playing when I can.
@@So-ny9hf Maybe it's time for you to buy an electric piano. It sounds like you have a talent for playing by ear, and electric pianos can be wonderful, especially since they offer a variety of sounds and can be turned down or used with headphones so you don't bother the neighbors!
My ever favourite is "Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini" Rachmaninoff. My favourite composer. His compositions provoke mixed emotions of sorrow and joy of despair and hope of fear and courage the limited and the endless of the simple and the complex....There is so much power in compositions that can bring together the opposites and create beauty and sublimity out of it...not only in music but in all compartments of art

Thank you for compiling all these heavenly pieces
Ohhhhhhhh number 12 Liszt - Grandes études de Paganini, S.141: No. 3, La Campanella 46:59 is resonating hard with me right now! What a beautiful piece full of energy and raw emotion. Thanks for curating an ensemble of the most cherished classics. This is helping me through Statistics right now....and also makes me want to play piano again and get lost in a melodic trance.
Thank you for a beautiful compilation, I've read the other comments and see that some listeners are in their 80's, I'm only 67 but I'm looking forward to my 80's when I know this music will be there to keep inspiring me to stay active, washing dishes for my children and grandchildren, the highest calling, and even the gardening, thank you again
This is, without question, the best classical piano I have ever heard! Stunningly beautiful! THANK YOU
Don’t be ridiculous, your music palate is very limited.
@Miraak Beethoven and Brahms would have had opened their minds to rap as they did not have limited music palates like you.
@Miraak I have nothing against it. Not my style but rather keep my music palate varied and nutritious.
@Miraak it doesn’t matter, music is a living thing and will go wherever it needs to go if we extend our palates.
@Miraak Brahms could have had composed music for his palate-limited audiences however, he chose to inject Gipsy and Jewish folklore. His friend and violinist Joseph Joachim in one way or another inspired this admiration for the Jewish flavor in music.
This cost him ,Brahms, a great deal of agitation and heart aches as his violist and friend, Dr. Theodore Billroth hated Jews himself. Brahms extended his palate beyond commonalities.
Your list of composition is very pretty and maybe palatable for “easy listening.”
Would you be able to tell me what Beethoven had to do with “moonlight Piano Sonata title?
감사합니다.
