Margo’s patterns are incredibly detailed. I love that she gives the historical method as well as more modern instructions. She makes these periods accessible to even adventurous beginners. She’s also an all around nice human.
god bless the person who decided to create youtube for we would be able to watch so many videos which help understans how it works, find new ideas and just relax sometimes. thank you for sharing the idea and the process!
Thank you for that wonderful tip about using the gingham for cartridge pleating. So much less trouble than marking all those dots.
All those layers and a bodice with almost no wrinkles is nearly inhuman. Dress is gorgeous 😍😍.
gorgeous fabric. I love it when y'all go balls to the wall and just make the actual garment, no mockup.
OMG the gingham idea is genius!!! Why haven't I tried this before?? Thank you and the end dress is lovely. I've really enjoyed sewing Margo's patterns, too.
Oh, yeah, that flies. It definitely sails. Wow.
I’m catching up on these for a new era in 2023.
It's gorgeous. You did well
What a gorgeous dress! 🤗🌟You did an incredible job and look absolutely stunning in it🌟 So happy to find your channel.
I love the stack method. I also had been using my civil war corset. When I make a new gown. I will try this method
I think this is lovely, you look so pretty and ethereal, and I think the fullness looks amazing since it is going to be worn alone. That layered support gives me some serious ideas as I've walked away from underwire bras. I am so impressed with this whole project and what I learned watching it. That gingham trick! Brilliant.
It’s a very beautiful gown
A beautiful gown and a beautiful job. I love the sleeves and how they tie instead of being sewn into the shoulder. Just lovely. I believe I'd love it on me in a very thin thin fabric; thick fabric gives me the feelings of crowded... but this is gorgeous.
The final part of your exemplary video has a very Alma Tadema feeling, with all that not-actually-white neoclassical marble!
Ohhhh... The gingham trick is genius! It's all wonderful - thank you for the link to Margot's patterns, too.
That gingham trick is amazing! Love the finished garment.
I love this style of dress, it's so beautiful!
Another cheat for perfectly aligned cartridge pleats is to stitch on curtain ruching tape.
Omg, thanks, gingham
