I know there is no master + booth, but as there are two master outs, one can surely be connected to monitors that have volume adjustment at the front??
Anyone try and pair the DJM-450 with a Rane SL box or the Denon DS1 DVS box? Just wondering if you can use the 450 with a Serato DVS box and if the beat effects and filters are still usable with Serato as long as you have a DVS box. Thanks!
Really good review as always. I'm just gutted you don't do one for the DJM-S3 battle mixer.. I'm selling my cdjs and traktor S8 and want a battle set up, and your review would of been spot on to make that decision.
@@RealDJblaze Okay I get that BUT what I don't understand is how the DJM-S3 is about $250 more!!! The Serato Software doesn't even cost half that price. Madness lol
No booth output... well that's pioneer charging you more but giving you less. A way that I've worked around this is to send the rca from the main output to my dbx GoRack which has its own dual input/output control. I'll send the main xlr from the pioneer to my main powered speakers, then send the outputs from the dbx GoRack to my powered monitor and/or subs. 3 separate outputs and the GoRack is small enough to hide anywhere.
saw this and wondering if should get this one or the Reloop KUT? WHat would be the better choice for a bedroom mixer just for mixing house music on Vinyl records? THanks
Since there isn’t a booth out line on the 450, are you able to connect the xlr master out and the rca master out simultaneously and just use the rca master out as a booth line while adjusting the level of the rca (“booth”) speaker? Or does it affect the sound? Or does it cut one of the lines out if you have them simultaneously connected? Thanks
DJBooth Pro Audio for sure! That’s why I’m thinking that if you can adjust the levels on the speaker you will be using as a booth speaker pre party, than you might have better luck that way. But of course the speaker levels will change according to the master levels and not a booth level. Assuming you like to constantly change the levels of the booth separately that can be annoying. I’m also thinking though, when my master level goes up, I usually can’t hear my booth as well, so my booth level goes up with it too. Idk just a thought.
Hi. I bought a mixer of these (DJm-450) just to use the dvs with my mk2. But, I've never been able to run the dvs function. I tried on Windows 7, 10. Mac OS 10.10, 10.11. I have timecode rekorbox. Rekorbox recognizes the mixer. Driver installed correctly. Usb function in mixer. I changed cables, needles. But it does not calibrate the signal at all. Any ideas, please?
You make an Firmware Update from DJM 450. Then download the current version of Rekordbox down. Of course, you have to have a DVS license, if you did it all, everything should work. I tried it yesterday and it works great.
Hi djbooth,im using my serato vinyl, with my djm 450. When im trying to skip through tracks, it wont go through track,to go to different points on the track.can you help please.gary
Hi again I so looking at this mixer would this one be better then the 250, I have Cerwin Vega powereed speakers the P1500's ,all I have to do is hook them up on back and they would work good, really want to be sure before I go and make a purchase on it
How about NI Traktor support 450 djm?How many channels i have to select in djm 450?only A/B or A/B & AUX C/D for remix deck.450 & 250mk2 have same sound card?
You can DJ like that with some headphones. That would be a starter package until you get turntables or CDJ's to add to it. Or you can check out something like the DDJ-RR or DDJ-SR2 which can work by itself with the computer then add decks later...
Hi dj booth, thanks for getting back to me.i have tried this,on both relative and absolute, but still, cant skip through track like normal vinyl. Do you think i need to purchase relordbox vinyl?
All Pioneer mixer post-nxs2 have locked dvs inputs so you cannot use them with any other DVS program that doesn't make a deal with Pioneer - sorry VDJ, Mixxx, Traktor (+hack) users. USB send/return feature is a gimmick (Denon has had it on their mixers 7years ago) becuse it requires a FX app + a routing app and still suffers from slight delay when engaged.
Needs a little more work...cons out weigh the pros Mixars duo much better bang for the buck unless your considering Rekordbox then you will enjoy the free mixer that comes with it.
I’d reckon it’s because the Z2 has buttons & knobs for controlling Traktor. You can browse & load tracks straight from the mixer. It also has remix deck controls & a booth output.
Ah, you must not be up on them then... Go google "Stanton T.120 turntables". You will see that they are super-oem decks that are the same as the Stanton 150's...
@@RealDJblaze Haaa thats why i love youtube no disrespect my g eveyone has their opinion. Excellent review! Thanks for showing all the effects which really helped me in deciding that this is the bedroom mixer for me!!!! Peace!!!!!

This is my very first mixer, and I think it's solid. But, I would rather go for the 750mk2

Not so sure... I haven't used the KUT long enough just yet...
Does the effects work playing ordinary vinyl records??
The color effects with the knobs work for everything.

does it sound good using phono input with real vinyl (not DVS) ? thanks
Yes it does, but nothing to write home about like the Allen & Heath XONE mixers...
@@RealDJblaze how good it is compared to other pioneer mixers like S9 or DJM 900 NXS2?
When buying the 450 djm already comes with the timecodes? And if not come where I buy. I'm from Brazil.
You can get them from Pioneer DJ website or ebay or amazon... Timecode does not come with DJM-450... you have to buy them separately.

I'd rather buy a z2 for the money
For $700 I'd rather go with the NI Z2
I'm currently looking at both. Can you explain why the z2 edges it for you please
I’d reckon it’s because the Z2 has buttons & knobs for controlling Traktor. You can browse & load tracks straight from the mixer. It also has remix deck controls & a booth output.
There’s also a 2 port usb hub 👍
