The devs were merciful enough to have Ultimate X not having a phase where he just spams Nova Strike.
Should've allowed the 4th Armor to do it instead since its weaker
Now would be a good time to review ALL of X's Powers he's acquired over the years
Over the course of his life, he obtained a total of 67 different weapons, is capable of using them 131 different ways individually, and 4136 in combination.
He can shock his enemies at least 12 different ways using individual weapons and 144 different ways if he can combine their use.
He can burn his enemies at least 16 different ways using individual weapons and 256 ways if he can combine their use.
He can freeze his enemies at least 16 different ways using individual weapons and 256 ways if he can combine their use.
He can launch 7 different ballistics, using them 14 different ways individually and 196 in combination
He can blow his enemies away with 3 different attacks 5 different ways individually and 5 in combination.
He can cut his enemies with 8 different weapons 15 different ways individually and 197 different ways in combination.
He can bend reality with 3 different weapons 6 different ways individually and 9 different ways in combination
He is capable of dashing, both air and ground, as well as through enemies. He can hover for a short while, possesses the ability to fly and glide, can convert damage into explosive release charges, can crush things with a head butt, has the ability to utilize a satellite to locate hidden objects, can bring desired items to him from a distance, utilize a nova strike and crash his body into his enemies, summon laser rain, emit blade arches, bring fourth two energy crescents that encircle his body for a while, shoot a thick laser from his chest, erupt in an explosion of fire from his chest, can walk on spikes, and scale ceilings, is equipped with an duel arm cannons that can fire stock, thin laser, tri spread, or charged plasma that leaves a trail of energy in its wake, is capable of emitting a blade from the cannon as well as fire shrieukien from it, is able to keep it constantly charged for a limited period of time, can use weapons uncharged indefinitely, and is able to reduce damage done to systems by 75 provided he keeps his weapons and armors and uses them accordingly.

In the cinematic opening for MegaMan X3 (PS1) it shows him change into his upgraded armor with a flash, then turn on the turbo jets to dash inside a closing door.

Yes he can change his armor on the fly. That's just shows how strong he actually is. For gameplay reasons it would be too imba if he can change armors on the go though.
In the x1 japanese commercial he changed to his first armor on the fly also.

Demulant huh, actually i think it was a refrrence to the original X vs Zero fight, after you defeat them they lauch a sneak soul body(althought technically should've been twin dream in Zero's case) to knock you out and whoever received the attack will say that line

Expectations: Vs Awakened Zero and Ultimate Armor X
Reality: Vs Awakened Zero, Ultimate Armor X, Fourth Armor X, Falcon Armor X, and Shadow Armor X
One thing I noticed is that the only two PS1 armors that X does not use in this battle the Blade Armor and Gaea Armor are in fact the only two armors in the series that have Shot Eraser capabilities. It would be an annoyance if he had that kind of power during this fight.
Watching this, I'm just glad they removed Awakened Zero's gimmick of needing to be defeated within two minutes or else he'll be invincible until he hits you with an insta-kill Genmurei. I'd imagine if that was left in, you'd have to tank the lightest hits you could while frantically trying to whittle his health down, leaving you with a pitiful amount of health in order to take down UA X afterward.

In x5 if you don't beat zero/awakened zero within a certain amount of time, I think either 2-5 minutes he will do a giant energy slash that with instant kill you and if you manage to jump over him before he shoots out the slash he'll just turn around and do it again until you die. I seen a video of a guy jumping over zero for about a minute avoiding the move.

Congratulations! This fight is an amazing twist for us Megaman X fans, being able to fight X and Zero in their strongest iteration. Though am I asking too much if I think X could use a Nova Strike spam as one of his mechanics? That's like the Ultimate Armor's signature move and it would've been awesome to challenge it! Zero gets to spam a variant of Rekkoha so why not X?

not at all, was already seen and on the X8 you can change the same armor into parts
and didn't change armors from other games, X just used all the armors which comes on X6 (Falcon - Blade - Shadow - Ultimate) and you can fly on X5
I like how x was hot swapping armors like that. Shame they never gave us that kind of choice in the original series.

That is no "Limitless Potential mode". And let's be honest, we didn't get to see a lot of that stuff, so it wasn't even impressive.

Nice playthrough. But definitely, this is not the ultimate armor X that I remember, he didn't use Nova strike, not even once. The ultimate X I remember would spam that shit all day long....or maybe that was me 😂
Seriously though, I wish capcom would've at least made a Nova Strike spam pattern for X's Ai here, to really bring justice to Ultimate X's name. Combine that nova strike spam with A. Zero's continues rekkoha, then that will make this fight even more " interesting".
