My Dad bookmarked this... He had the same bike a long time ago... He used to watch this video again and again... He just passed away on Veteran's Day this year... I was just going through his saved pages... Thank you for posting this... It brought him joy to watch... Love You Dad...
It really was a thing of beauty and if Triumph started to make exact replicas, with a few electrical and modern engineering tweaks that didn't change its appearance in any way - i'd buy one tomorrow. The present Bonneville models are just ugly in comparison.
@@ianthomas739 The new ones without the 360 degree cranks have lost this beautiful sound as well. Too bad this old engine couldn't be a Triumph option.
I’ve had a Hickley Bonneville for 17 years now, and it’s been great as a day to day commuter and is beautiful and I absolutely love it, but it’s not a patch on this one or the bikes you mention. I could not agree more with your post.
@@ianthomas739 I sort of agree, but think they are closer than you perhaps give them credit for. The main difference is in the ‘bulk’ of the engine and gearbox casing. The old ones are pure form, whereas the Hinkley Bonneville are overly bulky with oil cooler radiators. But considering the modern enviro controls, and that the Hinkley starts and goes every time, has very reliable Keinin carbs, ok electics and disc brakes and very good performance - I’d say it’s an ok compromise I agree whole heartily about the aesthetics though. The olde ones seem now to be a study in minimalism for what was only needed. I now have a Thruxton 1200 as well... water cooled, fuel injection, insane power, computer this that and the other - and I think it’s lost something. I intend to go back to the older (2010) Hinkley . But I commute 165klm round trip each day so need a fuel efficient reliable beast .
Stunning, that’d be in my living room, in a glass bubble, surround with jewelers lamps and guard dogs. Gorgeous color combo and of course sound. Thanks for sharing!!!
Thats my bike right now! She is a Garage Queen ! Except the former owner painted all black except tank is white & black. I stripped the front fender and now it shines. Bought a stainless fender for the back but never put it on ! She is a frame up restoration with electronic ignition. No more points to adjust. Sarts first kick every time ! I would love to ride her but I had too many near misses cause of fools on cell phones. Hate cell phones in cars (drivers side ). There should be a law to make drivers stop using phones while driving or a disbaling devise built into all cars ! It would save so many lives ! Wish I had a road with no fools but as soon as I get onto the road they are up on my ass !
My lovely wifey is still pestering me to sell mine. She just doesn't understand. I just can not bring myself to do it ! She and I have had so many great rides. She is like a part of me. I don't ride her any more because of fools on cell phones. Riding on my arse and trying to run me off the road ! Wish I lived on a nice road with no traffic. Then I would take her out for a ride now and then ! I still go out in the garage and sit on her and dream of past wonderful rides. Oh how I miss the wind in my face and the sense of freedom .
That was what I wanted for graduation...............from jr. high. I graduated high school in 67, though. In 64, my friends all were getting Honda 150 Dreams, but I wanted either a Bonneville or a Trophy 500 something terrible. I did get one but had to wait til I turned 15 in the 10th grade. It didn't stick out as being over horsepower at high school, but at a junior high I was as obvious as a turd on a white sheet.
Lovey job!- Whats the story with the interesting gear shift hardware? Dont recognize that configuration. My '67 just has it coming out of the gearbox on the right ahead of the footrest.
Abbas Ali Mitza No trouble with my Triumphs Abbas, and I had a Thunderbird, T110, and then a 68 Bonny, done many many miles, only had a couple of punctures, and a snapped primary chain.
Not sure what your referring too? I’ve put close to a 100k on my triumphs over the last 35 years with zero issues. It all about timely and proper maintenance. 🏍🌞
Gee, a piston going up and down in a cylinder, compressing and igniting petrol, and then exhausting it at thousands of RPM's and guess what? NO BLUE PIPES!!! WTF?

I' m 63 and I am bookmarking this. I have the same bike and I like the paint job on the tank...Looks normal at a glanc
e but is not at all.
I have the same bike, unrestored, I’m 60, guess I should make a start !
Probably the most beautiful motorcycles ever made.1963-1970 Triumph's. Great job !

Oh my! You could carve some corners with that Triumph!
Nice 67, I have the exact same bike. Was my Dad's and is unrestored with under 10k miles. Love that sound!
That is nicer than when it came out the factory
Mercy! That's one of the most beautiful things of any things ever......my heart hearts.
Beautiful! I had a 1968. Wish I still did. Always loved those pipes.
This bike is just immaculate. And tbe paint scheme looks very rare to me.
Amazing
Nothing enhances the beauty more than that twin leading shoe up front there
I never did like the looks of the disc brakes
Looks just great Merv F Perth Australia
hands down a TRUE CLASSIC

Stunning classic British bike.
Absolutely gorgeous.
Had one of those back in the mid 80' s ..... wish i still had it. : )
me too...
Hats off to you, beautiful restoration, comes from the same year our kid started at Meriden 1967. Good luck.
What do you mean 'started at Meredin' ? Coventry? Merv F Australia
I have the exact same one in the garage waiting for a restoration.

Absolutely loved this.
I swapped a 1970 CB750 for a 1966 650 Trophy in 1981. The good old days when classic machines still cost cheap as chips.
Tout simplement magnifique. Bravo !!!
Takes me back to when I was young..
My 1967 model was the TR-6C. I had the stainless steel fenders and the down pipes from a Bonneville. Ser# 57957. wish I still had it
That's a pretty machine...
Beautiful
Nicer lines than the Bonneville IMO (with the single carb). Congrats!
Beautiful!

I had a 64 T120 wish I still had it
Lovely machine .... droooooll !
Careful....rust is a concern!
The closest thing to heaven
I had the high pipe version tr6c. The only thing that didn't give me trouble was the engine except if you got it wet.
Nice,I remember as a kid my brother had a Trump, thanks
She’s a beauty
push rods and tappets with a bit of induction noise mixed in, loved that sound back in 72. Mind you only USA versions got a tacho!
No.not true.
Top de mais se doido,e anda em caneluda essa motoca em ❤

Hello From Brasil
Not to mention the rear shocks.
WOW! BEAUTIFUL
She is so new !…
How do you clean drool out of your keyboard?
Best looking one of those i have seen. Well done
Sweet as
I don't even think they make them anymore in England, they're made in India now?
Is this a Bonneville? I'm new to motorcycles and looking into buying my first one. I'm trying to decide which bike I want to get.
no.
What is it?
Triumph Trophy. Basically a single carburetor version of the Bonneville model.
Lovey job!- Whats the story with the interesting gear shift hardware? Dont recognize that configuration. My '67 just has it coming out of the gearbox on the right ahead of the footrest.
If you look closely, it's got set-back pegs more like a cafe racer style which require both the brake and gear change be rearranged.
a honey, but my 67 Daytona will leave it standing...
sunny days only
Bad ASS
Justfnride,
Do you still have this bike?
Yes I do Jared.
That gave me a chubby!!!
WHY PLUNGER TYPE OIL PUMP FAILURE IN ALMOST ALL TRIUMPH MODELS

Beautiful bike but incorrect front brake and wheels.
And rearsets, but all good mods, lovely bike.
Yes, but esoterically-BETTER.
correct but if riding in traffic it makes sense to have a TLS brake, they are much better
Bad Color.
Deal it - I love the colour and it's correct.
Whats with that aborted gear change lever setup? I am fucking dis custard .0.
