The animation style, and sprite animation are very interesting, especially how it transitions from a Zelda/3rd person like overview in the hubs, then Sidescrolling in the levels.

Sonic's spin jump is so smooth it's satisfying to look at.

The hub world alone blew my mind so you can imagine how shocked I was at how smooth the actual gameplay was! 8/10, great job!

Parts that stick out to me:
The water spouts that shoot sonic up are great.
The little animal chameleon that came out of the boss when defeated is a really cool touch.
Overall, looks great!

This game really makes you FEEL like sonic 8/10. It has a little something for everyone
It's like you're someone from sega created this great touch you make everything from classic sonic games to modern games sonic and the animation is so great and the music so is the modern Sonic animation is like a mix of modern Sonic and classic sonic but even better

The mix of 3d and 2d is amazing here it's something that sonic mania lacks the sprites are very nice and well made this game gets a 11/10

This looks amazing. I love the sprites, especially with how much personality Sonic shows and the boss visibly taking damage. My only gripe is that the music gets quieter when you're underwater. I get why it's done, but I'd like the option to not have that happen. But I was left wondering what if the music changed slightly depending on where you were in the level

The level music sounds like equal parts Castlevania and Metroid. It's an interesting combo that has me hooked for the full release.

Pro ~ These animations are amazing. This is my favourite Spin Dash animation I think, that little indent makes it feel so much more lively and energetic. And Sonic puffed out cheeks when holding his breath is fantastic.
Con ~ The hub world is too empty for how big it seems to be. A good hub world is a level onto itself like Peach's Castle or Grunty's Lair, this just looked like a glorified level select.
Don’t worry! we’re discussing on how to improve the hub worlds like adding obstacles and more!
Sprite work is really cool and I love the shadow on the backdrop and the environment, but I think the music is missing something. I also like the boss and how the eye hangs out of its socket

Doesn’t feel like it’s quite there yet. The level design feels a bit blocky, and the rails and spring usage are giving me Dimps flashbacks.
The water should also be more transparent so stuff can be seen more easily, right now it looks even somewhat polluted.

This game looks great! The only complaints I have are that the levels are bit lifeless and the hub world needs fixing. Aside for those aspects. The game is outstanding! Spritework is gorgeous, music is great, and I also love that Sonic was holding is breath visibly underwater! That was a nice little touch.
