Wow this is beautiful, I'd love to see you get your hands on the EZ-8 and Gouf kits. I'm trying to hunt someone down to commission them to build and paint the ones I'm sitting on for me. My hands ain't as steady as they used to be when painting, and I dare not potentially mess these guys up
Love it man. Sorry I’m a little late to commenting I’ve just been so busy getting my new set up all done and get back into painting I’m actually working on the master grade version of this which I know is nothing compared to this one but still love your work so far in it’s definitely inspirational
What clear coat do you use before doing the enamel washes? I have a problem with doing that and the enamel thinner eating my paint. This is probably my favorite paint job of yours Btw. Super clean
Spud Himself 1 minute ago Very nice! Your planning prowess really shows in the details and how clean your results are. Question though, are you doing a mist coat of mr leveling thinner to bring down the making edges? I’d never considered that! Though I suspect it might be a tad tricky at 144 scale I usually work in. Any tips on application?
@@JLGunplaUK there are 2 this one the gmd 1/60 gundam rx 79 g evo 2.0 gk its like a reprint of an older model and the gmd 1/60 gundam ez 8 gk if you look on newtype menu under models artist sh studio you will see it, it uses a different core pg . Are you using lighter fluid? Enamel thinner is weak but will still eat through lacquers
@@JLGunplaUK I've tried both. But specifically on alcalad both eat the paint right off. Which do you think is better?
Oh alclad is quite weak and they're more akin to enamel than lacquers
@@JLGunplaUK okay. Do you mainly use mr hobby metallics?
@@Nu_Chowe Yes they're not as reflective but very robust
Looks amazing

What is the base kit used? The original RX78-2 v1.0?
Maybe watch part 1 & 2
Hey Jason.. I'm working on this kit right now .. they have really horrible scribe lines .. how you repair them?
Rescribe, if it's really out of shape then fill it then scribe it yourself
