Well its about bloody time. I tried to take my 2021 apart and got scared I would break something. I looked everywhere for a video that took u through the process and found nothing. So _THANK YOU!_ I have been wanting to put my cam kit on for ages and havent been able to due to not being able to route the wires how I wanted them. Now all I have to do is wait for a nice day to do it ... I live in the UK, so I'll update u in a few years or so when I get some good weather ...

It's good to work with gloves on to avoid scratching the paint. I used to work for Volvo Trucks and it happened a few times when I had to work on the trucks due to them running out of gloves for my size. Be on the safe side, always wear gloves if you can.
So who else broke the very front clip off cause it’s longer than all the rest ? Seems ok without it but UGH

quick question, why does the fairing have “R1” written on it and not r3? been looking to buy one the same as this however wondering its its had r1 fairings swapped onto it.

when i take off the left fairing, the bracket that holds the fairing in right under the headlight broke off. and because i paused the video and tried to figure it out myself, now i broke the right side too -_-" and i can't just get new fairings i have the Monster edition. guess i'll try to fix the gap at a later time with a bit of hot glue or plastic weld

Have you ever had to remove the windscreen? If so what is involved in doing this? I've taking off the mirrors and 4 screws and can't pull it out.
Hey! The windscreen is definitely kind of tricky to get off. But I just uploaded a video on how to get it out. Hope it helps!

Do you know where I could get the side fairing of the whole right side. The whole think you took off? I dropped the bike in the garage and it looks terrible! I’ve seen a few but they are blue books not actual pictures:/
yamahapartshouse, check their site. Only place I know you would be able to get new ones.

Removal part is helpful but the install part was not I now have 4 extra black screws and I’ve watched the video multiple Times as well as taking the fairings off 2 times as well.

Jay Singleton I saw that you lower your bike by relocating the clip ons. I have found videos for the previos models but not for the 2019
Juan Pablo ahhh ok gotcha. The bike was lowered by the dealership. But if you loosen all the bolts that clamp the triple-tree and the clip-ons to the fork, it will allow the forks to slide up through the triple tree which lowers the front end. If you end up doing this I recommend also getting a lowering link (t-Rex lowering link) for the rear as well. That way the bike is lowered evenly in the front and rear. And depending on how much you lower it you may need to replace the kickstand with an adjustable one. I’ll try and get a video put together on it.
I will have something posted this weekend about lowering the clip-ons/triple tree.

I love the look of the 2019 Yamaha R3, I just need that ABS with the 2020 model. Hoping I can order new fairings from Yamaha to replicate the look of the 2019 model. Why did they choose that ugly Blue/Gray color scheme??? They should have left it alone or offered ABS as an option on the 2019 model.
Makes me want to just get the 2020 BMW G310R instead. 😐
