I got a 2005 Ford F-350 recently with the 6.0 Power Stroke Turbo Diesel in it and deleted the muffler and the Cat and put a 4 inch Straight pipe straight from the turbo to 2 stacks in the back. It's louder than I thought it would be but I sure love that screaming turbo sound directly behind the cab. I'm totally hooked. Lol.

Its not such a pain with inspections also. Changed my huge muffler like this one down to a much smaller muffler , was 6"round body x 18" long with 4" out/inlets. Weight 10lbs instead of the 60 the original one was.
Normally that would not be my style. But I have a 5.9 12 valve, P-pump a in the rear of my 1992 36’ Bounder pusher. And last year, when doing an inspection, I noticed a section of pipe just ahead of the muffler, had rusted and falling off. And I did not even notice the volume/sound increase. So I did custom made a new system without a muffler at all. With a complete tail pipe all the way to the bumper. No one has ever complain at the campground !
Did you ever have a "No oil pressure" issue with that rig? We have a 2000 Damon Escaper w the 8.3l....goes into shut down. Guessing it's a bad oil pressure sensor, but it's a mofo to get to.
My 03 6.0 Powerstroke towing our 5th wheel has an awesome whistle. Sounds like a Jet taking off when you start it rolling. I've nicknamed the red thing "The Whistle Wagon"... But my 95 Peterbilt's Series 60 Detroit is the coolest, never got tired of it sound. Loved it every morning I cranked it up, till it put her to bed. I enjoyed that truck and untouched engine for 1.5 million miles. After 3 million miles of Cummins, Detroit and a Cat. The Detroit I owned was the best of them all. Happy playing...

How is the straight pipe mod working out for you still? Did you have to re-tune ur ecu/ecm Engine computer? I heard Cummins don't rely on back pressure and was told I can do this on my skoolie tiny home bus 2002 Blue Bird RE "Rear Engine" 8.3 ISC Cummins engine. Thank you.
I have a ram with the hemi. Bought it used it's a 17. The exhaust on it is perfect as well not sure what kind he has on it but just enough you hear it in the cab but not so much that it is overbearing or gets irritating towing our camper on long trips.
My question as well, does the Cummings 12v 6.7 mechanical ppump need back pressure? I yanked a bad set of pipes off a grey market 1990's 323 bmw with euro electronics put back on after customs, cat and muffler delete, 3" straight pipe and glasspacks.i think. No back pressure, weak torque. Higher top end, faster 85 to 130 but weaker 0 to 60. The ass - o - meter said add back pressure.
The transmission won’t shift properly with the low back pressure. Also the soot is pretty nasty. I put a new Donaldson can upgraded to 1” bigger inlet and outlet. It flowed about 500cfm more than stock piping (according to my math the stock exhaust to to restrictive). I can tell you it made a huge different. Shifted better, ran 6th gear earlier, longer and it was annoying loud. Not to mention you don’t want to fumes under the bed. Prolly spend $1400 on it all.

Definitely get a pipe to route the exhaust out the back, or out the side. Then af a chrome exhaust tip with the angle cut.

I have a ram with the hemi. Bought it used it's a 17. The exhaust on it is perfect as well not sure what kind he has on it but just enough you hear it in the cab but not so much that it is overbearing or gets irritating towing our camper on long trips.

My question as well, does the Cummings 12v 6.7 mechanical ppump need back pressure? I yanked a bad set of pipes off a grey market 1990's 323 bmw with euro electronics put back on after customs, cat and muffler delete, 3" straight pipe and glasspacks.i think. No back pressure, weak torque. Higher top end, faster 85 to 130 but weaker 0 to 60. The ass - o - meter said add back pressure.
The transmission won’t shift properly with the low back pressure. Also the soot is pretty nasty. I put a new Donaldson can upgraded to 1” bigger inlet and outlet. It flowed about 500cfm more than stock piping (according to my math the stock exhaust to to restrictive). I can tell you it made a huge different. Shifted better, ran 6th gear earlier, longer and it was annoying loud. Not to mention you don’t want to fumes under the bed. Prolly spend $1400 on it all.
