  • A 3 day camping trip to Girraween National Park in Southern Queensland Country about 3 1/2 hours drive south west of Brisbane and the Gold Coast. The national park is in the granite belt just south of Stanthorpe and is close to the New South Wales and Queensland border and is a great place for a long weekend if you're from the Gold Coast, Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast. There are many unusual rock and granite formations within the park including The Sphinx, Turtle Rock, Granite Arch and The Pyramid as well as an abundance of native flora and fauna. Girraween means Place of Flowers. There are plenty of hiking and bushwalking trails for people of all fitness levels. Clear dark skies with very little light pollution provide excellent opportunities for stargazing and astrophotography.

This is a beautifully produced video, John. New subscriber here from seeing this. Loved the Sphinx. Sort of reminds me of Sister Rocks in Stawell Victoria. Well done 💯
