Thank you for your excellent rating of the group, comments and sympathy! These are really very promising young girls. Their phenomenal talents, songwriting and professional production are the key to success! I wrote this little history of the bands line-up on another creators page, thought you may like the info. Based on video releases, they initially got together in 2018.
First line-up 2019.
Kate (drums) Taya (bass) Maya (keyboards) Alona (guitar) Ira (lead guitar) Victory (Vocals)
By late summer 2019 two Kira’s appeared with the band, Kira Panchenko on bass, although Taya was still with the band, I’m thinking she was the furthest away and youngest member, most videos after this had Kira, Taya occasionally. The other Kira, Kira Kasyanova replaced Victory as lead singer. In some videos a second backing singer appeared and she did live gigs with them. This line up was steady until the start of 2021.

The first video of 2021 had Maria join in place of Alona.

They has 3 videos with this line-up then by the end of summer 2021 Anna replaced Ira. In November 2021 they released a complete concert, very good sound recording as well.

Then the war interrupted and they regrouped in Germany, 5 of the 7, they recorded Happiness and Hold with this line-up.

Then by the end of the summer Kira. P’s family returned to Ukraine and they recruited another Ukrainian refugee who I assume they knew through the Kiev Rock school, Polina.

Finally in September 2023, Maya’s family returned home and Sofia replaced her. Current line-up.

After listening to these ladies for the last month or two- it takes me time, but they are a GREAT band now- better than just good.
In a reaction to Feels by Babble On just released, one commentor said he had the honor of meeting and Kate's father, Alex, and they walked in on the band sitting in a circle on the floor discussing a song. So they seem to be equally involved in the song writing, and in more complex songs like Never Forget and Double O Seven, you can really hear all the cool different musical ideas that are put into the songs, so it sounds like many creative minds at work.
This went on my favs playlist immediately. Great!
Kate (Kate Kuziakina) is a drummer-prodigy, she started as a toddler by drumming on everything in their house; finally her dad converted the garden-shed to a studio and bought her a prober drum-kit. There was no where she could get training, so she is self-taught.
She has a UA-cam-channel with lots of drum-covers.
She won the Hit Like A Girl competition in 2018 (age 9), the same competition that Pau from The Warning won in 2017.
Pau never competed in HLAG, She was a rep for a corporate sponsor in 2018 and did a drum duet with Faith Benson

@dancan6622 Hey Dan, I've been discovering some cool stuff and starting to share in my comments on reactions, with links and info on how to see things about Polina and Anna. I can see how much you love this band. I'm not sure if you have already seen them, but if you haven't seen the things Anna and Polina did prior to the band, I think you're in for a treat. They are VERY talented in their own right. In fact, kind of mind-blowing--a word I find myself using a lot with this band and its members.
@@DanL---2024 yes I love discovering there back stories and what they have done in the past. I have very few clips of Anya and Polina. not even sure if Polina is Ukrainian, I have heard her speak German but not English or Ukrainian. Sophia is a total mystery but very talented. I know much about Kate and her family of course. Years ago I had totaly given up on new young bands until I came across a amazing young band and suported them . from there I discovered more amazing young artists from all over the world . None of them have record deals , none of them have fame but all of them have immense talent and potential
City is a fantastic song, I wish they did more of that along those lines! It breaks my heart to see their country put through the meat grinder by Russia.

SO awesome! Every song I’ve heard from them is fantastic. ‘For us…For Me’ is exceptional. I wish I had their details to share with you but I’m new to them too. One detail I can share though is their monthly Spotify listeners…. 605. No, not 605k. 605😐. That’s just mind boggling. Thank you for getting their music out to more people, they deserve it.

They don't have turntablism (real word) in any other songs that I know of. The keyboardist on City went back to Ukraine, and the new one is Sofia.
I've heard the comment that if you like The Warning you will like The Sixters. Yes to both! Good stuff! 👍 🤘
They don't sound alike, for sure, but they have that same youthful energy and inventiveness, and a similar story in that they started very young. But The Sixsters have had a really bad time of it because of the war. But they got back on their feet and are making great music. Watch out world! 😀
@@DanL---2024 Yes, war can mess up daily routines. Glad they are back. Besides the comparisons that you mentioned, each song sounds totally different the others. Neither band keeps copying a certain sound. Each song is unique and creative. They don't want to follow current trends for the safety of being radio or video friendly. I've heard 4 of their songs now. All different, all good.

@@DanL---2024 whenever I find a band or reactor I like, I go to their home page and search around (stalking) to see what else they offer. I will find many good ones to listen too. I already have a list of recommendations from other videos to start digging that Sixster rabbit hole.
They are amazing, the band has been through a few enforced changes due to the situation in their Country. Any video with 2024 has the new keyboard payer Sofia, all others including these two have Maya on keyboard. Maya's family returned to Ukraine in September taking 14 year old Maya with them.

Ages as of today, Kate 15, Polina 16, Anna 21, Maria 17. New keyboards Sofia, unsure of age.

yes Marie plays guitar, when she joined as rhythm guitar player and was doing backing vocals, after regrouping in Germany she moved to lead vocals and playing rhythm guitar. I believe logistics caused issue's for awhile making it tuff for Anna to make some shows so Marie was the only guitar player sometimes, she handled it very well.
I think Marie started working on English Lyrics after she joined. I don't think they have ever mentioned who writes the songs, I would guess they all have a hand in it to some degree.
This version of City is an updated version of an older song with Ukrainian lyrics that did not have the turntable scratching and the lyrics were less rappy sounding.

@@rustyford2790 Exactly! I once asked them, and they told me the songwriting is a combined effort. They have a studio in an old building in Essen, Germany, where they can play music around the clock. It's a cozy little room that was bare walls when they moved in, now it's a professional studio where they can also stream live in brilliant quality. I had the chance to visit the studio, and when we walked in they where sitting on the floor in a circle, obviously discussing new song ideas. 🙂
They have amazing family support, the drummer's dad, Alex, is a self taught audio engineer, camera operator, video creator, and whatever else the band needs. He's a very nice person, as are all the girls and family members I had the honor to meet.
Thanks for sharing that! I really wish I had the extra funds to visit Essen when they are having guests. Hopefully soon. In the last couple days I've been listening closely to Never Forgive, Double O Seven, and Same Kid, and hear so many different musical ideas in them, especially Never Forgive. So it makes sense they all take part. It's part of why their music will continue to be fresh and inventive.
yes all there songs are different and amazingly great. Yes Maria is now the lead signer and rhythm guitarist but has filled in as both rhythm and lead when Anya was not there. She is also a really great piano player
Do you know where I can find video of Maria playing piano? I looked and can't find anything, except a very short clip where it looked like she was playing a piano at a mall.

There's a song called "Hurricane in My Soul" on their "To Be Continued..." album that I think you would really like. It doesn't have a music video so it would be audio only. Even if you don't react to it you should give it a listen.
That's on my daily rotation, such a great song!
I like how in slow quiet parts Anya hangs out and very carefully makes whale noises on her guitar. Maria I’m gonna shive somebody, no now I’m prom queen. Also Are my eyes deceiving me or did Uriah Heep drop by their little studio after the concert they went to ? Maybe autographing one of their flags or something
She plays these tasty little things, all in the right spots, very good musical instincts.

That would be good, maybe start out with "I'm Gonna Be" and then finish clean and simple with "Hold." Ashlena didn't seem to click with the last two I requested, "For Us, For Me," and "Hold." 🤔
She's agreed to do "Feels" and the audio of "Same Kid" very soon (she hates videos to begin with and she'd very likely pan the middle part). Hopefully she'll like one of those. Well, almost every other reactor falls hard for them, so I'm pretty happy with what I'm seeing so far. :) Eight reactions in the past week! 😀
@@DanL---2024 I find Ashlena odd, on both her reactions to The Sixsters, she starts off saying she don't like doing OMV's and yet her channel is full of her doing OMV's, I watched a few and she never mentions she doesn't like doing them, except on the Sixsters OMV's. Odd. She does do lives and other things, but loads of OMV's too.
Unfortunately, The Sixsters don't have much other at the moment, their live concert from 2021 is top class, but with half the band changed after the invasion.
Ya she also said: For us For me should be stripped down Acoustic and Hold should be the Whole band. Lol And yes everyone wants live concert footage. I sure hope they can film some with good sound quality when schools out for summer and they start giging.
The bass player both plucks and strums depending on the songs. she reavativly new to the band and learned the songs as they were first done

Anna has her own UA-cam and Instagram channels, and has some short videos on there that are mind-blowing. She can cover everything from Eric Johnson to Whitesnake, Eddie Van Halen, Pink Floyd, and much more. She improvises these fast hammer ons and offs and arpeggio all the way up the fretboard without even breaking a sweat, just so casual. Truly a next level virtuoso guitarist, VERY good. I'll put info on how to find these below if you want to check her out. (My comments disappear sometime when I try to give info, so weird.
Anna's YT is Unicorn Guitarist, and her IG, which by far has the most, is the two words without a space between. Oh, she's also a concert-level pianist.
All while smiling at the camera never looking at the frets :)
She was also in an AC/DC tribute band called Back:n:Black for a bit that toured through Europe fairly regularly.
There's one on Instagram where's she plays Chopin on piano (as a piano player I can tell you that's not easy music to play) and half the time she's got her head turned around and smiles while she plays these really complicated parts. She makes it all look so easy.
There's another on on her IG that is jazz-based, where's she's in her pajamas and improvising on piano to a soundtrack of herself playing guitar as well, cutting back and forth between her playing both instruments. Such incredible talent. I seem to use the words "incredible" and "phenomenal" and "mind-blowing" when I write about this band and its members.
Their average age is 17, said Maria last week (Anna is 21 I believe), so imagine them in 3 years, when they'll be out of school and able to tour all year. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they do next.

kid rock wishes he was this good the dude sucks and I would not include his name in a sentence with The Sixsters, these young ladies are phenomenal I already bought all of their albums EPs and singles. They deserve more exposure, I just don't get it they are so much better than a lot of the garbage that's out there
