Yo me gusta la musica espanol, pero,... except for Paco's rumba attempt in 1971, would you not agree that it has failed to 'break-out' of its cultural 'chains' enforced by Franco and embrace modern and exterior forms (eg jazz) in a permissive sense ...? Chicos like Jesus Molina in Colombia are now the leading 'hispanic' musicos... I comment like this only to make friends and inspire debate... , molt be, vinga doncs, adeu !
Great video....just one question: Why is there "automatically" a flat 9 sound on a C7 chord as you pointed out at 3m56s? Follow-up question: Is there a rule / explanation for this (as you explined the other ways to land on a diminished note using half step additions where necessary) that can be broadly applied?
Hi Shan, I don’t know the rule for switching to the diminished arpeggio during the dominant bar. I’m guessing you have a video on that somewhere, but I’m working through your fluency playlist and haven’t seen that yet. Can you guide me in the right direction please?
Your channel is a hidden gem. It deserves many more subscribers!
Every video from Shan is a treasure!😉👌
Thank you for your support Arpad. Bless you.

Happy to help Robert! Thanks 🙂
Like your videos a lot. Good teaching on BH as well. What software generates the backing track on this lesson? Thanks & peace. Simon

When landing on what I call "home" (a dominant chord going down a 5th to maj or min) the extra tension of the b9 is very common.
