I honestly really appreciate this video. I've been using Apple Barrel paints for my pour paintings for about a year and a couple of months now, however, I've been having constant trouble with the paint cracking when it dries on the canvas. I've tried using water and mod podge to fix the problem which helps a little but if I add too little it still cracks or when I add too much it becomes super thick and the paint just layers on top instead of flowing in like your video. I was wishing that Apple Barrel would make a pouring medium for their paint brand but I didn't think they were ever going to. I'm excited now to find their pouring medium online. :)
I make jewelry from my acrylic paints and if you want to save the drippings put a silicone baking mat underneath where you are doing the paint pouring, let the paint dry and when it's ready you can peel it off so easy because of the silicone Matt surface
Another thing you can also do is put tape on the very bottom around the frame of the canvas that will save in cleaning up time and also to elevate your pouring surface you could use a cooling rack from the kitchen
Would it be possible for you to show us how you did the canvas that is hanging behind you in this video? Especially how you applied glitter. Would you also show us how to work with the paint drippings that can be used to cover other surfaces? How to make a sheet out of the drippings that can be used in the cutting machines?
This is an older video, but it looks like they may have used Glitterific on top. If you go to our page, we just did a live stream last week where we showed how to use paint skins!
I don't mean to be negative but I had problems with this video. Please do a search on paint pours and watch other videos. You'll get better mixing instructions and how to preserve run off for making jewelry if you're interested in that. Most all the others add a silicone medium to bring up cells. You can ignore that and just do the pour like this video. I guess this video is ok for the absolute beginner but I think it will lead them astray. The main thing is the paint shouldn't be to thick or too thin. In the dirty pour the paint was way to thin. Is there a reason why you added the flow medium to the paint and not the other way around? If you let the paint sit for a bit before pouring the bubbles will rise up on their own. Idk, I just was not happy with this video. Maybe I'm too much of a perfectionist.
Just bought some. Can't wait to try it as I've only used premixed pouring paints.
I like the pours with cells. Have you used silicone in any projects yet.
You could also roll marbles around in the paint or use wooden skewers to create a design
Its cute. I like this marble style of pouring too. Cells are fun but marbles are cool too!

I'm noticing that picture on the wall it looks like a multicolored agate, what technique did you use to do that picture

Thank you for sharing! Do you use the satin, Matte, or gloss Apple Barrel paints?
Is Apple Barrel Pouring Medium archival? Thank you.
Do you prep cheap canvases with gesso first or just do this without? Thanks
Oh never mind. I just heard my answer on your video 😊

That and they said to make sure to mix really well and they mixed the purple really badly
