Nobody can beat DMart in offline and now online too. If Amazon fresh don't offer cashbacks and promotions then many would buy from DMart. Reliance rates are not competitive and they keep lesser known brands more in stock. Big basket will gain more share due to Tata Neu now.

*_Most Imp fact is that dmart doesn't have to pay rent for its stores as they all are owned by the company, but in other companies like reliance, their stores are in rented accommodations...so ultimately, the profit margin will always be greater than others_*

How it's fixed asset not liquid, while if you take on rent and put the same amount in mutual fund still you have the cash, but once you have a fixed asset than your money can only be liquified once you sell it.

@@sumitbhattacharya4402 look bro, u seem to be of accts background, ur fixed assets , liquid all sound Greek n latin to me....all I can say, see the financial statements of reliance retail and dmart....rel retail has better sales, more no of stores and all that. But when u see the profit margin, the key lies in that. It is lower than dmart. On further analysis, u can find that the rel retail is paying huge sums of money for rent which is eating into their margins. Radhakrishna Damani on the other hand, owns the stores which are one time investment. But Reliance keeps on paying rent which appreciates with time. So, the breakeven, if considered, is shorter for dmart and after breakeven, all that comes in is profit only.

If a company decides to operate 5000+ stores in India can it buy 5000 + accommodations? RKD is a real estate man, first go n find out abt him. Dmart has 400-500 stores, all of them are owned. Very well explained and analyzed sir....
    Dmart moat is always
"Everyday low cost and eveyday low price where they pay suppliers within 48 hrs, and take bulk discount and pass that discount to customers, leading to more volume growth and revenue, followed by profit ( as incremental costs are low)
And also their store expansion is slow but they own The entire real estate for those 300+ stores..
Am super bullish on dmart and been an investor since last 3 years and it's gonna be a multi generational wealth creator for sure....
These times is just a PE downgrading due to tough Competition, hindering earnimgs growth but I am super bullish ....

DMART comparison with reliance growth is like we are comparing RABIT VS TURTLE RACE.. DMart's growth is steady and subtle with time they are reading the market well and they are growing with a healthy pace where with market correction there valuation is just correcting precisely.. But reliance is taking debt and they just want to ride and show aggressive growth to kick out competition and in this process after some time their service quality is degrading.. And for this reason I think Dmart Is the better option for long term

The video is quite informative. I have a question regarding the impact of real estate growth on D Mart's share price compared to its peer companies, particularly Reliance.
It is evident that D Mart possesses substantial real estate assets, which hold a high market value when compared to its competitors. However, I've noticed that this considerable real estate growth does not seem to be fully reflected in D Mart's share price performance, unlike companies like Reliance.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could shed some light on why the impact of D Mart's real estate growth doesn't seem to have a proportional effect on its share price as compared to Reliance. What factors might be influencing this disparity?

Customers are expecting better quality products which I believe dmart is not offering at the moment. Their main consumer base was middle class, now it’s lower middle class. D-mart is lacking behind because their presence are less in Bengal & even in Kolkata but reliance is really growing like anything & even local player like Spencers & Aditya Birla More are there in Kolkata region.

He has some valid points ...the competition is too tough now and most of the players are offering attractive prices ...in long term ,reliance retail will capture the market sidelining dmart imo ...also the product storehouse model of online delivery will be the preferred model in coming years in urban areas ,thus reducing the need of bigger mall expansion imo...
