Hallelujah! Gods love changes everything! I was lost and miserable in sin. I had no one who loved me. No father, an abusive mother, my sister hated me, no friends and an abusive boyfriend. Everyone rejected me. I was so miserable and desperate for love that I sought it from men who used and abused me. I turned to drugs and alchohol to cope. I became so depressed I tried to kill myself twice. The first time I failed. The second time I was in my room all alone fiending for drugs or alchohol, anything to numb my pain. I tore apart my room looking for drugs that i knew werent in there. As i was doing this i got a glimpse of myself. What had I become? I hated myself. I hated my life. Everyone else hated me. I had no love from anyone. My heart was in so much pain. So empty. The lack of love that I had in my life physically hurt my heart. NO ONE cared about me. I wanted to die. And this time I was gonna make sure it happened. I went to the kitchen and got a knife and brought it to my room and locked the door. I put it to my wrists and just before I pressed down I looked up in one last shred of hope and said weeping, "If there is a God who loves me, PLEASE tell me right now or I AM going to do this!" Before the words fully left my mouth the love of Jesus was being poured all over me. It was a feeling like nothing i could ever imagine and something words could never come close to describing. But at that moment I was in the presence of Jesus and and He was pouring out His love on this wicked wretched sinner. A love so intense I could barely contain it and all I could do was weep uncontrollably in awe that THERE IS A GOD and He loves me more than this mortal flesh was capable of recieving. I dont know how long I laid there in His precense but when I got up from that place I was a new creation. He had touched my heart in the deepest of places that were scard and he healed them. He changed all my desires. All my heart wanted now was more of Him. I needed nothing else and no one else. That was 17 years ago and I have never been the same since. Gods love is truley all we need.
