I reprogrammed my subconscious mind through consistently watching and listening to those programs and music. You, your testimony, your message and God given talent has definitely been a huge impact on me and my life. I have been clean and sober since October 6, 2020. Now God has birthed a ministry through me called Resolve to Recover. I just want to say thank you brother, you truly helped me through the most difficult and darkest times of my life. I was born and raised by a heroin addict and i didn’t want that life cause i was trained how to do things as a child i didn’t want to do to help feed her addiction then i became an addict but i take full responsibility for my use and never blame my mom for the things she trained me to do. i understand as a child i didn’t have a choice but i was in those trap houses robbing houses and using men and women to feed my mom’s and my own addiction and it was a hard life but like you said he shined his light and i also accepted with faith and i walk by faith daily and fight this demons wanting me to relapse and die like my mom did but i won’t stray from God and ever spit in his face again! the old me is dead and by the grace of God the new me will continue to walk by faith. You made me think about how far i’ve come and so have you. So praise God we no longer have to be slaves to our past! I love your music and this one was awesome! His music doesn't glorify sin it just shows how sick it is and how depraved the minds and hearts of men can be. People who haven't been around lot of evil like in ghettos and projects wouldn't understand that this is real and it is a problem that must be addressed. After he exposes the sin he then points to Jesus in his songs for the answer and hope. He's led many people to Christ and repentance from sin through his art form and ministry. Even if he led one that's enough for it to be profitable for God's kingdom.

I love the passion behind this song! While I cannot relate because I grew up in a completely different life, as I listened to these lyrics I imagined all the lost souls who will choose Christ Jesus because of it.

I believe we listen to music out of an emotional need. Before I came to Christ Jesus, secular music is what soothed me in my anger, in my sadness, etc.

"That's real Jimmy. I can relate , my struggle was different, but STILL STRUGGLE and similar in ways. I never got deep into gs g banging or killed any one, but I self professed that stuff and was affiliated (Gangster Disciples) and I ALMOST KILLED SOME BODY in the hood for constantly picking on me. I grew up in church, but I had a bad temper,naturally. And because my daddy left us when I was 2, and my Momma,who was a minister, verbally and physically abused me (no raps, just too much WHIPINGS, PUNCHING US and STOMPING US) ME AND NY TWIN. So I grew up VIOLENT, had a COUPLE of real bad fights and LOTS OF ALTERCATIONS. My life was FAIRLY violent and I was on DRUGS BAD , DIFFERENT TYPES of weed,NICOTINE BLACK N MILDS, I was into a lot of for ovation, masterbation and porn too and had a really foul mouth. Sweet Jesus delivered me and healed me from LOT. I almost COMITTED SUICIDE at least 3 times too. I'VE BEEN THROUGH A LOT MAN, not as RECKLESS as SEVIN, but PRETTY RECKLESS. SO YES THE LIFE I LEFT was being a slave to sin and evil, now being a slave to righteousness and purity.
