Well, her entry in the Melodifestivalen 1988, 100%, was way better. But Lotta Engberg has always been a good singer and entertainer. Her joyful warmth saves this entry. 7/12.

I was just a kid, but I really wanted the Melodifestivalen runner-up to win Arja Saionmaa with her song Högt över havet. Arjas song has had more longevity than this one in Sweden. Nothing against Lotta, her song 100% and Julieete & Jonathan were so much better and she's a wonderful performer.

She looks about 10-12 years older.
This was just a mess- the Scandinavian languages and calypso music just don't blend.
Also their dance attempts are incredibly stiff and awkward.

I am both Swedish and German speaking, but compared to Germany's entry with Laß die sonne in dein Herz, the same year, this was more fun to watch and far more entertaining.....
She was 24 at 1987 and singing on the orginal lyric:"-4 Bubble-gum and one Coca-Cola" 🥤

Swedish censorship at it's best .....
In the original they sing "Fyra bugg och en Coca Cola" which is also the name of the song. But because Bugg was a chewing gum brand and Coca Cola well coke they had to remove it because it was on Swedish television and considered illegal an commercial.
It was Eurovision rules that didn't allow commercial branding, not specifically SVT. It was 'Fyra Bugg & en Coca Cola' at Melodifestivalen after all.
Sweden’s worst ever entry. Hate it!
