The Himalayan - For the Trans Euro Trail

- Is the Himalayan 411 a great bike for gravel adventures like the Trans Euro Trail?. After ridden the Himalayan 1000km on- and off road and also ridden all of the Norwegian- and most of the Swedish TET, I am in no doubt. Here is my verdict.

It is really a beginner off-road bike.. I love it.

I think a lot of people are moving to smaller, lighter bikes. Not just easier to manage, but more fun because you can use everything they give.
It will be interesting to see which bike you use most!

Først og fremmest, en feeeed video. Du har en Subscription mere nu.
Jeg ejer en GoldWing, fordi konen vil have et godt bagsæde, og en BMW K1200gt , som konen ikke er tilfreds med bagsæde, derfor også GoldWing.
Jeg overvejer kraftigt at skifte BMW ud med Himalayan, da jeg tidligere har ejet, og savner, en Suzuki W-Strom, lidt samme type, bare en del større.
Jeg har ikke brug for flere pakæsler, så derfor er BMW kommet i overskud.
Det jeg gerne vil høre er, skal man gå efter den nye, og mindre charmerende, Himalayan for at køre Svensk, Dansk og Tysk TET?
Eller er denne ideel?
Jeg har altid ønsket mig at komme afsted på den måde.
@WKBassemand Takk for ditt abonnement :-) I norge kan man få veldig fine brukte Himalayan 411 for en meget rimelig penge. Men har du råd til en ny 450 så ville jeg kanskje gått for den. Begge er nok veldig gode sykler til TET, kjører du rolig er 411 god nok, liker du å gi mere på er 450 valget.

I am buying a 2nd hand motorcycle for the TET this week, a BMW G 310 GS or a Royal Enfield Himalayan.. I can not decide what to buy :) Thank you for the video.
The reliability of the BMW will be better, but for all other cases I would go for a Himalayan. I would not buy an older Himalayan than 2021 as the ironed out some important issues from 2021 - on.
great video! i'm on the hunt for a bike to start riding TET, and want something that is both capable on road as off road. this seems to be the bike for it, especially for my budget, although i'm still hesitant if my height (1.85m/6'1) isn't too high. i would love to be able to stay mostly out of the wind, but many people say that the wind screen will cause a heavy wind turbulence on the helmet, which is a concern for me aswell because of my height.
also, some years ago, i was still fooling around on a ktm duke, busting wheelies wherever i could, and while this isn't the riding i want to do today, i am afraid that the mere 24 horses won't give me the occassional kick i want (especially dirt riding, maybe drifting about, which would probably be hard?).
i'm test riding one in a few days, and looking forward to it. i've been thinking about getting an older Africa Twin instead, but i don't wanna deal with the headaches of parts breaking and (slightly) more complex tech. thanks for your insights of owning the bike so far!
Good luck with your test ride, yes the windscreen is mostly for the look, and you cannot drift with the bike, too little power for that. But great for relaxed pace on the TET, I am 178 cm and it feels comfortable when it comes to seated and riding while standing

Skjermen du forhøyet litt over forhjulet kan du vel egentlig bare ta helt bort? i og med du har en skjerm høyere opp🤔 om du har radiator gard går ved det bra, vil jo se litt kulere ut da😎
Hei, jeg har økt avstanden opp fra hjulet på den nederste skjermen, men ellers er det standard med to skjermer. Den øverste hjelper mot ting som kommer flygende i større høyder vil jeg tro, småstener og sånt fra forankjørende og stener som kastes framover av eget forhjul. Så begge har nok en funksjon.
