Totally agree. It's like brushing my teeth immediately after I wake up and before I go to bed. Thus, I would set aside a specific time every day for learning Mandarin (e.g: 7:00pm in the evening). Eventually, I don't even think about learning Mandarin at that time, I would just go ahead and that's one less thing to worry about.

Hi Grace! Your new program sounds very interesting, and as we are both located in Taiwan, your learning resources will probably be more relevant for me than those I see that come from the mainland. However, I see that you specify that your Patreon resources are not meant for a complete beginner. I am definitely not at the intermediate level yet, but I have had weekly lessons with a teacher here in Taiwan for about 5 months. I know that doesn't give you any information about the level I've achieved, but I wonder if you can tell me if you think I might be able to get something out of your program in spite of being next door to being a beginner! I always get excited when I see materials become available from a teacher in Taiwan! Do you think I would benefit?
5 months of lessons means you're a novice, A1-2. Take your time, and focus on fundamental grammar and give your listening and speaking skills plenty of time and practice to develop up to intermediate using your text book materials. You'll know when you start to outgrow them naturally. Meanwhile, Grace already has a huge library of helpful videos on this channel (which helped me when I was 5 months in too).
5 months does not mean you're A1-2. Especially since you've been living in Taiwan, the length of time you've been learning doesn't tell me anything When I was 5 months into my Spanish learning, I was definitely A1. When my brother was 5 months into French, he was probably B2 While that doesn't tell you if these lessons will be helpful for you, that's because I can't. I don't know. What I would predict with reasonable certainty, however, is that nothing will help you quite as much as just making some Chinese-speaking friends. 99 times out of 100 that's the fastest way to learn a language
@@samstromberg5593 Nah they're going to be A1 (A2 at most) even living in Taiwan after 5 months of intensive classes. This isn't a latin-based language like French or Spanish. It's much harder to acquire let alone use effectively.

Hi! I have some posts that are easier (though some might be a bit challenging for you), and I'm also planning to create more beginner-to-intermediate content in the near future. If you'd like, you can try subscribing for a month or two, and if it still feels too hard, you can cancel anytime! :)
This sounds wonderful!! I'm not familiar with Patreon subscriptions though, if I sign up for a monthly subscription, is there a binding time or can I end the subscription at any time?
You should tag your videos that are just advertisements for paid content and not actually videos with learning content. Your channel is quickly becoming less useful.
Thank you for your input! I originally thought mentioning at the beginning of the video that it’s an introduction to my Patreon would make it clear, but I see it might not have been enough. I’ve now added a note in the description to clarify further. I hope this helps!

As a patreon subscriber the podcasts are good and they are about HSK 3-4+
I can assure you the daily podcast can be very helpful! 老師可考慮upload一個sample podcast讓大家試試看.
Aww thank you Joseph!! 謝謝你的建議!
還有別忘了將patreon link 放在 UA-cam channel 的 description. 五年前老師對教學已充滿熱誠,現在學有所成對教學更有誠意

This sound really useful! Could you make one of the mini-podcasts free so we can get a taste of it?
