Several years ago when I found this channel, I wished Grace would be my Chinese tutor. But now, I know that I'm not special. I'm one of the hundreds, if not thousands of Chinese learners who have been deeply helped by Grace's videos. I'll support Grace in whatever ways I can so she can keep making these videos, so she can inspire a lot more Chinese learners around the world. Way to go Grace!!
So glad to hear that the timing of this video was perfect for you! 😊 As for your question, I currently don't have a video specifically about how to use 弄, but that's a great idea. I'll definitely consider making one in the future. :)

Hey Grace! Great video! I wanted to let you know about a clarity point for your English explanation. When you said "what she actually meant" I would suggest saying "what she actually said" instead because what she meant means the same thing as what was in her mind.

You don’t have to worry about grammar. For question 3 is it possible to consider both answers as potentially correct? The 在上 meaning they are currently studying (as in "I'm in the library with a book and studying right now") whereas the 上着 meaning they are currently in the more general state of studying as part of a general activity in their life (as in "I am currently being a student at Grace University")?
Interesting. If something in English ends in -ing, I'm thinking one of two things. It's either a participle or a gerund. The part of me that unfortunately thinks of language study as a search for master decoder rings is tempted to cut to the chase and ask, ok, between 在 (zài) and 著/着 (zhe), which is the participle and which is the gerund, or are "participle" and "gerund" inherently Indo-European grammatical concepts that simply don't map to other language groups?

I always have to use a mix of English when talking about sports. Help me Grace, you're my only hope! Haha, but maybe I can figure it out if I watch sport content in Chinese...
Thank you for your videos. I am studying Mandarin. I work in Chinatown Houston Texas. I have a question please. The word for "happy". This will be hard to explain. When I say for example: Happy New Year. For "happy" I will say (Qu-eye) (lu)....but sometimes I hear people say it back to me it sounds like (Qu-ah) (lu) or sometimes the (lu) sounds like (la). Is (Qu-eye) vs (Qu-ah) just a matter of different regions in China?
I have been trying to learn Mandarin for a number of years now (but am not fluent yet; mostly self taught, with help). The way you spell happy in Pinyin is "快乐 kuai-le" (pronounced "kwai-le). The way to say Happy New Year (referring to the universal new year is "新年快乐 Xin nian, kuai-le!" (pronounced "shin-nian, kwai-le) However, if you want to say Happy New Year in reference to the Chinese New Year, you say "春节快乐 Chun-jie, kuai-le!" Hope this helps.
Normally in English, if painting is on the wall, I would not use the ING form. I would just say a painting hangs on the wall. But if it's an action, and the focus is that painting, then I would make it more active and use the ING form. But here it doesn't seem like it's active and yet we're using ING form. Sorry to pick it apart but I always get confused by details that are not logical to my understanding. If you would like to clarify, that would be feichang hao :)

Yes
Yep, V+ing as a predicte has two alternative implications - on-going action or state at the moment.
So Chinese is a bit more precise.
Yes precise using ta for everything and shi for everything else.lol

I'm wondering whether 在 and 著 can be used in one sentence at the same time?🤔
当她睡觉的时候我还在看著书。I was reading a book while she was sleeping.
在can also be "at". 著can be optional.
