Ok, this video is filled with a ton of useful phrases and examples of how people might actually say them. I'll come back and watch this video 100 times, on loop.
Wow! I was able to get pretty much all of them! The only ones that gave me trouble were about 5 or 6 phrases I am unfamiliar with. That is encouraging! All my watching of Chinese dramas seem to be paying off a bit! Yay!
I got 49 right. I misheard "你记得吗?" as "你知道吗?" Even after you revealed what it was, I listened again and still heard 你知道吗. Oh well, still nice to have heard the rest correctly. Thanks for the video 😊
Very helpful video as always! I was able to understand more than I expected! Only a handful towards the end gave me a little trouble. Thank you for always pushing focus on understanding natural daily/fast speech 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I got 44 right! I'm impressed, I've learned 80% of HSK1 and then ditched the textbooks for cdramas (plus making flashcards for the words I learned from there) several months ago, so I guess it worked!
Thanks for putting the effort into this, Grace. I've been studying mandarin for a month. I knew about half of them when I saw you put them on the screen, but listening tot hem fast is another matter. 😂 Interestingly, when I watch vlogs of people going around China (e.g. the "blackman shocks locals speaking Chinese" type vids ) I can usually understand when it's a phrase I know.
Hello Grace. Thanks for this video. I got 47/50 right. For number 22, did not hear the "太" just heard "好了" For number 38, I had no idea what was said😂! For number 50, heard: " 是这样" instead of "就这样"😅. Thanks again for all your hard work. 辛苦了!
I heard 27 phrases. Some of them I didn't understand the meaning but I heard them correctly. Thank you. This definitely will help with my listening skills.
Oh man, this was harder than the tone challenge😂I got 45/50 this time. For me, what felt difficult was less so the speed, but that the consonants sometimes sound like they’re not enunciated as clearly to my ears. For instance, on question #22, I don’t hear the “t” sound in 太好了 at 8:10, although I can hear it more in the second clip at 8:12. Or for 你看, I heard it more as nǐ kà, so I was wondering what a kà is lol. These challenges are fun though! P.S. Hope you feel better soon🙏 Edit: I can hear the “t”pretty clearly now for some reason😆 Now I’m wondering why I couldn’t hear it the first time lol
The only ones i could pick up were "hello" ni hao,, and "where are you"" ni zai na li. But then again, i'm very new to chinese. Maybe 1 or 2 months in, and only using Rosetta Stone and these videos.
He escuchado varias veces el video y cada vez reconozco más frases. De todas formas, a mí también se me hace más fácil reconocer las frases en las intérpretes femeninas. Aún me falta mucho. ... and how are you about that cold, 老师 Grace?
Perhaps I get just a little more than half right. So many clips from so many movies. Grace needs to do lots of editing to make this practical exercise together. People speak so fast that's why subtitles are needed in movies. 但那麼多聲音之中 老師的聲音最好聽最易明,就算說快一點
Aww I’m really touched that you noticed this! 🥺 I did spend quite some time finding these clips, and the audio levels were all over the place, so it took me quite a while to adjust them 😂
In Taiwanese Chinese there's a tone change "辦法 bán fǎ",2nd tone before a 3rd tone. There's also no tone change for 一 . I discovered this while watching another Chinese language channel where there's clearly no tone change for 一 yī. I also checked with chatgpt. There seems to be some confusion around these tone changes🤷
Almost all my mistakes were on male voices, I think my only mistake on a woman's voice was mishearing 记得 as jíde. Turns out all my listening practise is from female tutors/vlogers lol...
My reading and writing is much better than my speaking and listening. I have a hard time understanding speech in Mandarin. How do I say that in Mandarin?
I'm sorry for the strong nasal sound in this video due to my cold. I hope you don’t mind!
Take care of yourself ❤
@@namashaggarwal7430 I will! Thank you
aw..i noticed. i thought ‘u have a bit more of an accent - and u speak english so well’ 🤭 Get Better Soon ❤️🩹
@@Jetjetson Haha I didn’t know it could be an accent thing😂 Thanks for your kind words!
I hope you get fine soon 😊

Hello Grace. Thanks for this video. I got 47/50 right.
For number 22, did not hear the "太" just heard "好了"

For number 50, heard: " 是这样" instead of "就这样"😅.
Thanks again for all your hard work. 辛苦了!
Excelente curadoria de conteúdo! Grata por seus esforços!❤🎉😊
20/50. Need to learn some of these common phrases in slow speech first, although stuff like 明天见 was crazy different ^^
I heard 27 phrases. Some of them I didn't understand the meaning but I heard them correctly. Thank you. This definitely will help with my listening skills.
You're welcome! Keep it up :) 💪
特别棒的课,多谢🤍
I'm a beginner but I've learned some phrases as well! Thank you!

I don't even understand slow Chinese speech. 🤣

Are you Indian? 🙂
get well soon!
can you make more of this common phrases in fast speech video, please!
谢谢你, 你的我的好老师❤, 我爱你❤

tysm!
40/50
我听错了这些短语:
不好意思
你在干嘛?
好不好?
我也是
我也觉得
有道理
我忘了
生日快乐
没办法
那就好
谢谢你的视频!
I got 39/50 , also the last 4 were very hard i know them but didn't get then, the other 7 i didn't know those. 🙃
Hello I 'm from Cambodia 🥰😍
He escuchado varias veces el video y cada vez reconozco más frases. De todas formas, a mí también se me hace más fácil reconocer las frases en las intérpretes femeninas.
Aún me falta mucho.
... and how are you about that cold, 老师 Grace?
I got most of them, but some were definitely a bit hard!

Grace is not only a super teacher but also a super video editing expert
I got 40 out of 50, not bad :)

That pretty easy, how about making a more challenging one? Thank you.
I get 33 phrases correct.
I got all but about 5 or 6, and I think I would have gotten those in the context of a real conversation.
Almost all my mistakes were on male voices, I think my only mistake on a woman's voice was mishearing 记得 as jíde. Turns out all my listening practise is from female tutors/vlogers lol...
Same! I need to find more deep voices to listen to
Wtf same lok
7:02~ 7:03 不能說的秘密
(晴依)女音: 好啊。 男音:走了喔
Quite challenging. I got 40 right.
My reading and writing is much better than my speaking and listening. I have a hard time understanding speech in Mandarin. How do I say that in Mandarin?
🎉🎉🎉
28
I understood them all, guess I watched too many Chinese dramas. 😅
Same here 😂 binge watching cdramas for the past 2 months… I can understand or recognize maybe 70 % without ever studying 😮
43/50😔
42/50 some voice unclear for me 😅
It was too easy)
48/50。“明天见“太难听懂了,尤其第一个录音。我还把”你看“和“离开”弄混了。其他的还可以,几乎没问题听懂。
no.28 i can't hear the male voice to speak「有可能」is it a wrong clip or i just don't know the tones?
Probably wrong clip
Hi, I checked! This is the correct clip. The male voice repeats “有可能” twice.
The average 不好意思 in taiwan sounds to me more like 報思
👍👍👍❤️🌷
I missed about 8.
I know all these words but like in Chinese dramas when I hear these i can't understand it cuz of the accent and the speed they talk.
i had it all undrestood
