- Order 'Turning To Crime' here: deeppurple.lnk.to/TurningToCrime
With strong tailwind from predecessor 'Whoosh!', DEEP PURPLE surprised with everyone with their cover-album 'Turning To Crime'.
The album, released by earMUSIC, reached the worldwide community of Deep Purple loyal fans only 15 months after Deep Purple‘s previous studio album 'Whoosh!', an album saluted by prestigious chart achievements (3rd consecutive #1 in Germany, as well as well as #4 in the UK) and acclaimed by critics who praised the creative strength of a band that continues evolving with every release.
'Turning To Crime' is the first studio album by Deep Purple entirely made of songs not written by the band and previously recorded by other artists.
The "time trilogy", consisting of "NOW What?!", "inFinite" and "Whoosh!" (2013, 2017 and 2020) have sold over 1 million albums, topped the charts 11 times and achieved more than 40 Top 10 positions worldwide.
Producer and friend Bob Ezrin, who worked with Deep Purple on the previous albums forming the “trilogy", was once again an important part of the new studio work.

Deep Purple are more than a band for me. They are my friends, in every step of my life since when I was 14 (I am 52 now), they were there with their music, and their music was just the right one for me. Could not stop listening any of their album, from Made in Japan to the latest. They are the highlanders of rock, immortal... But not as distant gods, rather like friends, good old friends with whom you would enjoy a pizza, a beer, a night. When Mr Lord passed away I could not stop crying, he was one of my friends. Thanks God, I'm a Purple fan. And always be!!!
You speak for me, exactly.
Totally agree with you. They are my first and favorite band since the 70's up to and including now. I am 61 years old, but still old enough to rock & roll.
Hey up. I’m 59 now. And been the soundtrack of my life since I was 16. There’s been ups and downs. And twisting roads. And here we are ….. a man alive …
I am 65 and they are my companions since Deep Purple in Rock.
The same with me (I am 64)... Eternal band!
Paice is still incredible.... He plays like he's reading a newspaper... This is a breeze for him even at his age.
50 years of experiences on his resume, what we could expected from him
How the heck does he continue to make it look so damn easy.
He's one of the best ever... so tasty, so rock hard.
Paicey is a BEAST!!!
@@GaryVillapiano He did it like just sipping coffee at the morning, it would be a surprise for us if it was 50 years ago, but today just another fun time with cool old guys who have a story to tell.
he plays so easy going, super!
Ian Paice is fantastic! Wonderful music! Great band! Best forever!
Absolutely awesome rendition of this song. So sad that due to Steve's wife's medical condition, that he's no longer with DP. God bless his wife and him!!
I am 54 years old. They literally marked my life. Deep Purple forever in my heart!💜💜💜
Grandpas in rock
Ian Gillan's voice is still very powerful, a unique and immortal voice! ❤️
Agree totally on that! 😍
my dog's name is Gillan♥️
@@vivianazarate7188 Gillan's dog's name is Vivienne...true story.
incredible cover of the legendary "love" song.
I realize just now that it's a cover..!! 😉🤘
This is what bands are all about great musicianship all around. This band is still kicking ass!! Thia band has got to be my all time favorite! From the 60's (13) to now (65) still putting out great music and loving what they do!!
Wow, didn't expect this! It's great to see/hear one of my favorite bands cover a song by one of favorite bands (Love)! Deep Purple were contemporaries with L.A. rockers Love. But Love didn't get the fame and notoriety that label mates The Doors got. It's great to know there are still people rocking to Love songs! Thanks, Deep Purple for keeping the flame burning!
Aurther Lee had a thing about touring, didnt want to tour, it ultimately limited how far they would go. 😥
Anyone who knows anything about classic rock, and the influences of all modern rock today, know all about Love.
From the Album 'Da Capo' released on Nov 1966. Bought on release I feel old ... RIP Arthur Lee
Paicey is playing like he’s got something to prove...he’s an animal! And this cut sounds so good. Imma go order it now!
..Paicey on fire 🔥..amazing!
I Saw Purple every time in Buenos Aires Argentina, from 91 , with Jon Lord , to the present.
A 18 times , more or less.
Ever with sold out Arenas.
And with personal chats and photos and autogrhaps from Roger , Steve and Don !!
On the Don solo , he has played Keith Emerson tunes !!, also Astor Piazzolla songs !!!
For me , Don is a perfect mix of Emerson with Lord !
Cheers from Buenos Aires Argentina
The best surprise of 2021.
With Morse on board Deep Purple kept producing relevant new music for 25 years. Only AC/DC can say that among classic rockers. The song is the vehicle, baby !!
it is a cover .. ua-cam.com/video/6An7KGK6U3c/v-deo.html
@ This one is an album of covers, but the band makes it sound fresh.
Их музыка-неповторима....Спасибо,что активны в таком возрасте и в такой непростой период... Музыка моего детства.....
DEEP PURPLE -это как коньяк, с каждым годом все лучше и лучше!! Браво!!
Он КВ коньяк!
Steve and Don playing an extended solo and trading licks, it sounds like the classic progressive rock of Yes and others (Don's keyboard sound here is just like Rick Wakeman's on many a Yes tune)--it does my heart good, to say the least. This is the kind of musically important stuff that has been banished from popular rock and pop for so long. Cheers!
So wonderful hearing master musicians at their craft.
As I did not heard the song before I learnt DP will do it, it sounds to me more like new DP track then a cover and sounds great. Gillan and the whole band with Paice all over the place really nailed it.
Music of all our life
Ok, who are thee idiots who clicked the thumb downs and the song hasn’t even premiered yet? Oh well, stoked for the new album!🎧
best song ma as cover the new album as cover hope soon tour and new album with new song as 2022 23
It was probably Ritchie Blackmore, his wife, and his manager. :p
The idiots. That's who.
Probably the ones who have heard Cooper do it🤣
@@geezerbill I doubt Candice has a mean bone in her sweet body. Richie I could see tho 🤣
Deep Purple ... THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
KEEPING "IT" ALIVE!
I will never the first day I heard you ALL
In 1973 when I was six, smoking on the water. Its the first time I ever heard Rock
N Roll. Great new song guys with some
very technical arrangements. Wow.
You just get better and better.
"YOU NEVER DIE AND YOU NEVER
GET OLD WHEN YOUR PART OF
ROCK n ROLL". Its just the hardest job
In the World and musicians deserve
every cent. Jet lag, collaborating, diplomacy, TRUST, strategy, partying
and management. Simply Grateful
guys for all the pain and suffering.
A good product sells itself.
This song is from Arthur Lee's LA band Love, from their 2nd album Da Capo, an LP I wore out. I was in a garage band and this was our favorite song to play.
Thank you Arthur Lee and Love
💜Deep Purple💜
KICKASS! The boys still got it. Best damn band ever all the way back to 68'. Outstanding gem. Arthur Lee loved it!
If this is the taste, imagine what the main course will be!!!
How can you not be inspired by these men still going strong 50 years??? Just incredible.
just came back for another DEEP PURPLE session, Love the Steve Morse era, he was such a good fit for the band. This is a fantastic covers album... Looking forward to the next chapter with Simon McBride💜💜
Bravo , Bravo , Bravo Great Legendary Deep Purple 👏👏👏☝✌👍
Your Our Great Friends All The Time Our Live from Age 15 to now Ages 55✌☝❤🍸
Very Warm Regards to All Who Loves and Respected Great Legendary Deep Purple from Los Angeles , USA 🍸
To be honest, I wasn't really enthusiastic about this cover album. But this song is bloody brilliant!
Deep Purple rules even on cover songs! I think this album is gonna be great!
Lets say the second part of it..............
Its cover of US band "Love" 1967 song
@@pavelleminovskiy1094 yes, i have the album "de capo", i think it is.
Album cover is the ONLY worthwhile thing here..Bad covers of WORSE songs....
After "Roadhouse Blues", I was not optimistic about an entire covers album. This Love cover is the first one I really like a lot. Fingers crossed.
"Purple runs Deep" - great "Extended Interpretation" of what could be the World's very 1st high-energy "Anti-Establishment" Surf/Punk-Rock song, way back in the 60s. Fine job, "Boys" ! 😃
I saw Purple four times back in the early 70's. Mark II three times and Mark III once. Love them all. Old rockers never die. They live on in their music. Oh yeah.
DEEP PURPLE = the Gods of Rock !
Were.
Keep it coming Deep Purple! Love your music and inspiration.
This band and this album is a JOKE. Deep Purple does not exist without Blackmore and Lord PERIOD.....end of story..and it never has.
Well, this is interesting song, the guys are still rocking hard, Paice still knows how to smack the skins, Gillan still has his pipes working, Glover is still holding the bottom end, and the Morse - Ayres duel is a joy to hear. Congrats to all.
This band and this album is a JOKE. Deep Purple does not exist without Blackmore and Lord PERIOD.....end of story..and it never has.
@@jaysantos536 Well, 3 ou of Five original members are still rocking and that still can be considered Deep Purple in my book.
@@RiquezaEmGotas Without Lord and Blackmore Deep Purple would have never lasted past 1972. URIAH HEEP would have been considered a better band over time.
Airey and Morse love playing off of each other. Its amazing to watch. Two masters
Yeeaah,masters of the universe!!!
One of my all time favorite Bands, looking forward to the new album and as George Bernard Shaw said "We don`t stop playing because we get old, we get old because we stop playing"
Fico pensando nos anos 70 e como seria impossível naquele época, imaginar Deep purple em 2021!! Incrível a vitalidade da banda.
They still rock!! Even after all these years!!!
OMG!!! Band's Back!!! waiting is over i love you very much ''DEEP PURPLE""
Don Airey is amazing on this song not mention the evergreen Ian Paice.
Great to see a bunch of very old rock stars having fun banging out some covers. Will any of them be better than the original? Not a chance, but who cares. Keep playing and recording fellas. You’re an inspiration for every fading senior classic rock fan...
I always love you Deep Purple. I hope Richie someday will comeback to you.
Excellent one. Never dissapoint. And we all knew that Paice´s snare train was going to be perfect.
Exelent guys Forever DEEP PURPLE. from Argentina!!!!!!!!!!!
Incredible! Deep Purple every year gets better! ✌❤🎶
DP gave 7 and 7 some "Love"
DP and Love - two of my all-time favorite bands. Didn't know how I'd feel about a cover, but I love how DP put their signature thumbprint @1:16
OMG! New Deep Purple album? That’s wonderful!
This band and this album is a JOKE. Deep Purple does not exist without Blackmore and Lord PERIOD.....end of story..and it never has.
@@jaysantos536 Oh, come on! Their last few albums are awesome! They’re all such great musicians! Get over yourself, and cheer up a bit!
7 and 7 is.........14 (all of past and present members of Deep Purple).
Oh damn... you're right!
Deep Purple...
Gk ada habisnya.
LOVE and DEEP PURPLE. DEEP PURPLE with LOVE. Fantastic!
Solo de guitarra, de teclado, Paice (como sempre) dando um show na bateria o tempo todo, tudo em 2 minutos e meio, e ainda deu tempo do Gillan cantar!
Bom demais!!!!!
The song is fantastic. The cover..."criminalistic"! I wasn't expecting a new album so soon. A positive surprise indeed..
They dropped my favorite part - the outro from the original by Love! Sacrilege!
Wow, just wow... Aurther Lee is smiling down from rock and roll heaven... 😍😎
Хочется, чтобы вы жили ещё 100 лет, наши любимые деды!✊🏻😉
My love for Deep Purple only grew over the years, inspired mostly by their ceaseless production of powerful new music.
Ты кого дедами назвал? А о чём это было?Ну да .ну да и лет -то мне сколько ?Так чего ты хотел спросить?
@@loki5129 ты сам с собой говоришь?😅
Paicey doesn't age. Great cover!!! Love both bands!
One the better covers for this song. Good job.
The Fountain of Youth . . . Rock n Roll !!! Great job guys.
Omg...I'm sorry I'm late to the party, the new music & DEEP PURPLE in general ARE BLOODY AWESOME 🤘🏼
It's never too late.
Respect and love. That's what they deserve after all. It is October of 2021 and I have heard this mini cool songie from you. Thanks Deep Purple!
Wow, awesome, Ian can play what he wants when he want as well. Brilliant.
Deep Purple is ALIVE & WELL✌🏼ROCK ON!!!!!!!🤘🏼🤙🏼
I Love this ! I'm a huge fan of the 1966 original version of this song by Arthur Lee and LOVE.
Essa musica é um classico! Pela que o Arthur Lee não teve o devido reconhecimento na sua vida musical.... Esta aí o legado... Lendário!!!
I got the pleasure of seeing Deep Purple at Iron Stone. what a day all of the bands were great..
Bards like these will live forever in Valhalla.
Great cover song! They just made it their own and busted it out under 3 minutes. Boom.
ua-cam.com/video/6An7KGK6U3c/v-deo.html
Love how they make it sound like their own music 💜
These guys are buddies who have fun together, Gillan, Paicey and Glover know what its like to have bad vibes in the band with one person bringing everyone down, this has to be the best incarnation of Purple, The last few albums 'the time trilogy' consisting of “NOW WHAT?!”, “inFinite”, and “Whoosh!” (2013, 2017, and 2020) have proved that they have evolved into something which rivals or goes beyond anything they have ever done in their heyday. The Stones are great and also inspiring, but Purple are constantly evolving and I must say it Gillan's voice is amazing.
How good is that. The boys still have it in spades. Awesome
Absolutely, a fantastic song . Love this group
Love did this song..so did Alice Cooper, cant wait to hear Deep Purples version!
Rush did a good version too.
Always loved Alice's 1981 version from his underrated 'blackout' years...
These guys ( Deep Purple ) are one
Of the best.
Deep Purple...Deep talents... Deep legends... Deep Purple and all the colors mixed in a incredible and a fantastic band...
This album might have the same flavor of Rush's "Feedback". I just love it and likely I gonna love this one too. When a band do a cover from a sound (or artist) that they admire, it's different. It's special. I can't wait for the next ones!
Rush cover album tracks are all popular songs and I have known them all. While Deep Purple, the tracks will be unfamiliar to common music fans other than overly-played White Room (fantastic track of course), and Shape of Things is also quite popular with classic rock fans. Other songs in Turn to Crime will be like hearing new songs
Anubody, of a certain age, who is right into thr music of little known popster Alice Cooper might hsve bought this back in 1982 as the single from the Special Forces album. when 'The Coop' did a long awaited world tour that included his first British shows since the 'Nightmare' shows in the mid-seventies... saw the Glasgow Apollo gig, tickets £4.50.
Geddy does better writting than this song
Poor writing
Love these guys, glad they are still rocking!
💜 I couldn't imagine Ian Paice would play this fantastic tune!
Amazing song, amazing band!
Deep Purple for a lifetime!
Ian Paice is simply fantastic
Espetacular!
It's hard to believe this isn't originally a Deep Purple track. It's just such a great cover. With a distinctly Purple flavor. Love it!! 🤘💜
I disagree .
Its all over the place a total kitchen sink mess.
These guys are legends
Forever young fantastic
Captain Kirk goes into space for real and Deep Purple puts out a new song & music video - on the same day, in the same hour?!
Thank you, guys. I feel like I have my whole life ahead of me... ☮❤
This band is unbelievable, they are making music since 1968, they broke up in 1976 and reunited in 1984, they had a new album in 2020 and a new one will be out next month, yes, it is a covers album, nevertheless it is something to admire.
This song sucks badly
Its a bowl of goulash
I love purple but they botched this
I can dig it..!
@@johncarlson6978 i can also ...but its not even close to a hit song .....they gottta spend the money for good written songs
Vincent price tune and whoosh songs were fantastic
@@gmailemail671 it’s a remake and having fun. I dont think they are trying to make a hit. A band of musicians in the late 70s would never get radio time anyways.
Long Live my Deep Purple
Deep Purple is a soul for me
Morse and Airey are not Blackmore and Lord but HECK! They fill those shoes just fine!
I could not agree more. Ritchie who???
Blackmore and Lord are great compositors they made masterpieces, but Morse and Airey dont didnt wont
@@TerryDrumCovers1951 you must be kidding?!?
@@Moyetniishiswa2000 not at all Ritchie might have been great but he was such and asshole to everyone
@@TerryDrumCovers1951 I don’t disagree - you’re right by all accounts. But he remains one of the greatest guitarists of all time
I definitely need Deep Purple Turning To Crime album this track really touched me I mostly enjoyed Ian's drumming skills in this one
These guys are from another planet! They should be put in a bubble
Eu amo essa banda!!!! Fantástico!!!!!
Esse álbum vai ser excelente como foram os últimos!
Love it, Steve and Don, you guys rock !
I first heard them on a record around 1978. The guitar sparked. Now it's all spark.
fantastically AWESOME!
First heard this song by Robert and his Strange Sensations and thought it was a brilliant song. This version rocks as well. Great tune!!
Listen to the original by the band Love. Brilliant band from the '60s. Also check out "Alone Again Or"
@@tassieblues I did. Love Love =)
Go ahead Deep Purple!!!
My favourite rock band playing a song from my fav psych garage american band. It is a sort of dream.
