    Haha, Captain Thapa, captains agree to land on more dangerously put helipad on Grande Hospital and Vayodha Hospital than in Nalinchowk. Especially it is more dangerous in Vayodha when you dribble high-voltage transmission line.
    You don't speak of noise and dangers among residents there? I clearly see captains' vested interests to not land in Nalinchowk.
    Silwal bro, please build a habit to cross question and don't be a YES MAN!

      Layman ra Expert ko bich ma difference vaneko one knows he is correct arko thinks he is correct
      So if you are not expert of something don’t give your gyan
      Just for a reference cycle chalauna narrow but asphalt road ma sajilo huncha Tara wide but off road ma garo huncha
      Likewise aerodynamic and law of physics ko anusar helicopter lai all way bata approach garna Milne linear wind flow hune Grandi is more suitable than aile ko cup jasto only one way approach vako(BTW CAAN ko law mai minimum 2 way approach chaincha vanera lekheko cha), khaldo Ja disturbed wind flow huncha ani overshoot garne thau pani chaina that’s more hazardous
      Nasakine haina but always safe operation for commercial operation is impossible from that helipad

    • @DiwashGhimire
      @DiwashGhimire Місяць тому +1

       @onepiecepluscnl7008 don't you think cup like Nalinchowk is a wind shelter aerodynamically, if my Physics is correct no wind is better than linear or whatever crosswinds you can get in places like Grande. And if I remember the CAAN documentation correctly, one of the reasons to put the two approach requirement is crosswind situation.
      And also, it is not that you are flying on your own, you will be assisted with ground crews and instrument cluster.

      @@DiwashGhimire your reply clearly shows your knowledge about aviation(helicopter) is very limited
      FYI linear headwind is better
      Main Reason to put two approaches is for aligning aircraft with headwind and to go-around in case of miss approach (if no miss approach you will crash)
      About ground crew they can’t increase aircraft performance which is heavily compromised by unfavorable location of that helipad

    • @DiwashGhimire
      @DiwashGhimire Місяць тому

      I agree headwind is advantage ("better") during an approach but not having headwind doesn't mean that the helipad is useless. In fact, the wind shadow area can always have a predictable wind pattern and be more advantageous.
      And not having two approach is perfectly fine because you don't have to align for headwind as there is none.
      Also: What if the head wind suddenly becomes gust? Also don't forget the turbulence the wind may bring.
      Regardless, pilots are trained to land in all the situations and the point of head wind doesn't make sense to cancel an already commissioned heliport.
      The thing is captains who can land on a mountain slope for a rescue mission are now saying they can't land on a flat paved helipad with all the help from ground crew.
      BTW, do you suggest a better option, inside the valley?

      @@DiwashGhimire may be you haven’t been or even seen that place it’s mostly tailwind that also 10 to 15 knots and to takeoff from that place with full allowable load is too risky to do in daily basis
      It’s like telling ATR 72 with full load to take only using half the runway it requires
      That’s one of reason no big aircraft has landed in Pokhara international airport(short runway)
      In mountain rescue Heli carries limited fuel and fly as light as possible also there’s no other traffic to worry about
      so you mean to say fly with less fuel and reduced payload even from permanent base ??
      And for what purpose just because there’s already built heliport without proper discussion and even not fulfilling basic things for construction of helipad in CAAN ‘s own rule book
      4 out of 5 requirements doesn’t meet in this heliport go check yourself in Obstacle Limitation Requirements for Surface Level Heliports: by CAAN
      Better option is if similar area was allocated in Tia(there are lot of space) all Heli could be accommodated.
      Or some other place open from all sides it can be artificially elevated
      And not having 2 way is not perfectly fine go again and read “Obstacle Limitation Requirements for Surface Level Heliports:” it says helipad should be open from at least 2 sides. Or ask any pilots for more exact explanations
