That KK fold was epic. I dont think i could do that.
I’m not good enough to fold KK in that situation is what I immediately thought to myself lol
4 bet jam on the river is most likely the nuts or second nuts every time. It’s such a strong line especially leading into 2 other players first.
Why couldn't you fold it? Guy led for 1200 into 2 other people. Fairly clear he knew he had to bet small to get any value from his quads. Then Mariano raises him and he jams all in. How does he not have quads in that spot? It would make no sense to repop that pot with anything else.
He should never have raised on the river with it to begin with. What is he hoping to get value from? look at my comment for a deeper analysis
Well I could certainly do that - after all, the guy showed us his Q!
These videos are so much better than HCL
I like HCL 😅
HCL helps my poker game. what not to do .
Agree.
I would have thought that MOST videos are better than hydrochloric acid (HCL).
Are you comparing a video to a livestream?
Mariano, your self-filmed videos are 1000000x more enjoyable than the ones you take from HCL or other pre-recorded feeds. Knowing what other players have in their hands removes the appeal. Keep up the good work.
Your editing and videography is fantastic. Keep it rockin.
Another great video! Love this style compared to the live stream ones...
I love this video than HCL mainly bcz weve seen it on live. Great actions.😊
Two things that I love. The sunny weather and seeing my boy Mariano win. Today’s a good day.
Just another great vid!!!
Your thought process is on point... and that KK fold 🔥
*stay the course. 👏
Just call the 1200 don't raise he value bet for a call
Nice win and quality of video so good.
Beautiful session. Been viewing your work since the beginning. Always rooting for you on Hustler Casino.
My top 5 hands:
As
Ks
Qs
Js
7/2
More like this, hustler sucks.
Hi Mariano. I live in the Dallas area. Looking forward to meeting you at the Lodge April 23.
KK raise seems like a textbook overplay. Yeah a J could call but how often will that really happen. And how often will you get raised and have to fold?
Seems like one of those FPS spots where most vetty pros would just check. Like I bet u Antonius checks here a really high % of the time.
“Heard some fun things about it”= soft as hell game
Games in this range are oftentimes pretty soft. You just gotta have the bankroll
I think we're lighting money on fire with the KK by raising the river. I don't think it accomplishes anything (especially in a 3 way pot). Can't imagine too many/any players calling a raise with a jack there. 100% "just call" on the river imho.
Nah. Thats a standard raise with KK. I would have raised it to 5k tho.
Who's 'we'? It's Mariano not you, lol; you should come down to the Tampa Bay Hard Rock and play your 1/2 game for guaranteed maximum pain.
Mariano runs too good to not raise. Who cares. Whine for 3 sesh losing then back to God mode. No clue what a downswing is.
Let me me ask you this if you had ak would you feel comfortable bluffing off a jack with a raise to 5k why or why not
Hard to tell is you were really being dealt in or playing tight. Lots of premiums. Nice one!!
River raise with KK was too large imo. I don’t think a jack looks you up there for that price, and a queen (and only a queen) is still going to raise. Sweet spot there is 4800-5200 imo.
Can someone explain how putting in 20bbs preflop with the 72 and playing post flop against 2 better hands makes any sense to just win 16bbs additional? Like youre risking potentially 100bbs to wi 16bbs? Great math
Aaahhh Mariano back to his old Wizarding ways running like Zues.
How? He should’ve lost a shit ton with that KK hand
@@Lfggggggg Aww he lost one hand :(
@@bens956 the hand was a cooler tho, that’s my point
@@Lfggggggg not really, the opponent's bet-3bet on the river into 2 opponents is obviously always quads
Yeah, what a luckbox scoring 7-2 TWICE in one session!
Listen up @Mariano ppl are starting to make fun of you. They say you play ▶️ too lose. You are on a 1m down swing. I believe in you like the rest of your fans. Tighten that shit up and prove these haters wrong. If you find yourself bored at times...take a vacation. 😅😂
Couple things - I thought you bought in for 20k (2:11 mark of the video)? Also you showed 100k at the end so if you bought in for 50k wouldn't you have netted 50k in winnings?
I didn't understand the thought process of folding the KJ(s) to a flop of Q73 @13:45. The turn came 7 and he folded while having a flush draw, why? If the other guy hits his set 7 and he rivers a flush, that would've been the best case scenario, no?
Holy WOW. Where do I find Fish like this at those stakes? First hand and you get KJ Off to put in over 4k Preflop? I would love that kind of action.
Mariano. Played with you so many times 5/10 and didn't even know you have a YT-Channel. Cheers buddy!
Solid session wpld, complimented with some run good always nice :)
JT should bet turn tho and river tho IMO
I’m sorry KK was a call…a lead into 2 ppl call raise 3 bet jam haha… these comments it was an epic fold? What?! Are high stakes that loose 9.9/10 times that’s a Q
Lol the fold to quads is definitely more standard than not. Throwing the snarky comment "it's probably a problem" if it is standard to anyone is your petty ego wanting to save face for struggling to fold that spot
Ayyeee that music is a vibe. Good selection
72, 8 handed will give you $1400😊 but I know what you mean 😊
Surprising only $11k win with so many pots won and a good number of them at least 5 digits🤔
What else is someone betting with on that board a jack he raised river instead of just calling if he has the queen I’ll just donate him 7k
I like Mariano
That video should have called
How to kill it with
AA
KK
QQ
55
These people are solid players
hey mariano your so young how did you get all that money man to start playing 50-100? good shit bro
I’m UTG with 10J off, so obviously I open to $500
graphics for pot size and peoples bets and opponents in the hand would make this better.
To me I don’t ever think someone jamming there without the Q unless they’re a maniac
I would bet $15k
but not all in on that quad Q after Mariano bets $77k…..
Good point! I didn’t think about that.
I thought you win more than that lol..but ill take that 11k anytime haha
Hey Mariano, you mention in the beginning of the video you bought in for 20k, and you cashed out for over 100k, so how did you only make 11k?
I had extra chips in my pocket in case of disaster
Nice fold, my ass would’ve been broke!!
Lol I thought they were hands all in a row haha I’m like that never happens when I play
i am a big fan of mariano. Good luck guy
Macanudo
lol man should of just checked w the KKs
Gorgeous views of the outside & interior….. my favorite thing about your videos ❤ (besides the hand breakdown, of course 🎉)
Elite poker video and playing once again Mariano! 🤑
Honestly the raise with KK on the river Q was just horrible in my mind unless you are playing against maniacs. Because think about, if both have J there is no way they would ever call a raise there specially for the size you made. So you basically just going way too thin. And the fold at the end to me was right decision and very easy to make btw.
Btw love all your videos and your overall play, keep it up my man. 💪🏽
it's an easy fold when he gets reraised but he knows his reputation and he's trying to get called by a jack.
I agree with this. Especially against two opponents. It's clear that the original bettor has either a FH or quads. He will fold to a raise with a FH, and he will reraise with quads. So there is no value to be had against him. And that's not even considering the second player who could have simply called with quads hoping for an overcall from Mariano.
It's crazy to see the rise of your stakes and experience from just a couple years ago...keep it up, stay blessed!
Thank you 🙏🏼
Great music in the intro 👍🏽👍🏽
B-roll 🤌
Old style vlog 🤌🤌
Winning some money 🤌🤌🤌
As always, it is a trill to watch a @mariano short film!!!! -= especially when he's partying in #VegasBABY!!!!!!!
It's an angle to trick the Academy. All the other poker vloggers are competing for top vlogs while Mariano is alone in the Short Film category.
i wish i could sun run like this just once
I dont like this because they all have more money than me.
Alright, I gotta question your strategy while you’re holding J-10 offsuit, hit top pair (4-ways), and it gets checked to you (you check), checked to you again (holding top pair still, you check), and you allow an over card to hit the river, and then you bet??? Yes, I know you were lucky enough that no one out drew you, but why the hell would let turn & river fall, when you easily could have been outdrawn, and value-owned yourself???
WoW Mariano great fold with the K's, you've matured into a polished professional, not many players would of let that go, do you reckon your buddy Rampage would of mucked K's no way he'd be all in and in the hole, well played.☘️🇮🇪🍀
Magician in this session
Sorry.. that raise on the river with KK was not needed at all.
$50-100, damn. I'd be emptying my whole checking account just to sit down at this table with 100BB's
What is the intro song on this one?
So just curious, does he collect the bounty when you guys chopped with his ace king versus AJ?
Why do you sound like neeme more and more. #originality
at around 20 minutes in, you chop with AJ over AK with A555 on board, and you mention you don't get the button/sb bounty, but the next hand you win on button with 72, but the button only has $200 on it. Did you actually win the button/sb bounty? Or was this after a different button/sb bounty win?
I think a smaller raise with KK on the qqqjx board is sexier exploitively. It will put Jx in a disgusting spot and I don't think you will find in this particular game anyone that would 3bet that river with any bluffs..
I've seen quads three times in the last two months.
Vegas is a sh*thole. But you can gamble.
The KK fold shouldve been call on the river
It’s wild to me that only about 1/20 ppl click the like button!
You’re getting free content!
Help the man out and give him 1 second to click that 👍
Anyone else thinks the river raise with KK is horrible, especially against two opponents? What is he hoping to get called by? He says, I'm raising and will be folding to an all in. That's exactly the same thought process the bettor went through before betting. The original better is either betting quads or a smaller full house which he will fold to a raise so no value in raising him. Then there is the caller who could have simply called with quads in the hope of getting Mariano to overcall. So, I disagree with Mariano. This should have been a call on the river as it's not possible to get value from a worse hand by raising. Not to mention that after Mariano raises, the original bettor has to worry about the player behind him.
Hello Mariano, how are you? Nice pot on those pocket AA. Very nice fold on the pocket KK. That was a good bluff on the 72, no contest 😂😂😂Nice video and a great stream. I'm glad you won on this stream. Take care and be safe always. Peace ✌️
The HCL hate may be a majority but it's not everyone. IK it's closest to where you live, and I don't expect you to travel the world for my enjoyment every week. I already watch HCL, especially if you are there, and watching your breakdown of your hands is just a cherry on top of an already good stream. Peace and love from IL
What do you mean a private game? You’re in the public poker room.
There are plenty of poker rooms that host private games (invite only)
Please tell us what the others have when they call 🙏🏻🕺🏻
dude you never lost a hand during this session?
These videos are so much better Man, U have no idea
02:54 - guy called KJo after a 4bet preflop, then he cold-called a bet with slim odds and probably no implied odds to drill a gutshot. Man, I thought these high stakes are better than this :P
@20:37 did someone just touch your stack for change?
Good catch. I didn't see it at first. Then he gives him $200 in $25. He was just coloring himself up.
Yeah, stuff like this is fine at friendly games
lol. On 5 April I played almost the exact same hand as the first one in this video. Stakes 1/2, I think there were some limpers, I raise to 10 or 12, then 4bet to around 100. Same flop action and SPR, same board! On the turn though, I just went all-in and the guy called with AKo, with K-high flush draw. I won both runouts.
I know that game! 🤑
If i would get these Cards..
Folding queens full of kings?!?! Wow! That's a master play.
this dude is the luckiest person alive
I watch these videos and think about how lucky Mariano gets. And then a hand like the KK one happens and I’m reminded how fucking good Mariano is. Ridiculous fold.
$20k seems like such a small stack for you to buy in to for a 50/100 compared to HCL haha.
Let’s hope this vlog 0:38 has better decisions made than the last couple vlogs. I’ll be judging you once I watched this one here
Your intro announced "Las Vegas, NV".
What the heck does the "NV" stand for - North Virginia? New Vork...?
...Oh, wait - never mind.
There are several Las Vegas in the US in multiple states.
@@sylvainguinepain5624 Oh, okay...
...So was it "Las Vegas, North Virginia" or "Las Vegas, New Vork"?
@@timsullivan4566North Virginia not a state, now West Virginia ,same for New York, Dork might as well be! LoL
@@chairlesnicol672 I'm hesitant to say "Swoosh"", but really, dude - there WERE plenty of indications, no?
So... "Swoosh!"
WHATEVER! LOL!@@timsullivan4566
I’m a fan now. Good video bro 👍🏼
It’s not about the fact that people don’t like HCL games…it’s the fact that you have to black the cards out…there’s nothing more thrilling than being in the driver seat and sweating what the villain is going to do…great vlogs tho GG
I’ve lost to quads 2x in the past couple months exactly like this. Incredible incredible fold. I lost my money 😂
Hi Mariano
You were a thinking player even when you made your first vlog. Question: how did you get your training even back in those days. From observing opponents to ranges and blockers and on and on you seemed to have been ahead of the curve even back then. Can you talk about your thoughts about how you approached the game from training stand point? Thx and best of luck
Time for an epic UPSWING! This was just the beginning ! All the best to you!
Nice fold, I had the same type hand with A,J off made 3's full of A's on the turn , ended up all in on the river after my bet and his jam, he had 3,4 off in middle position. It sucked
Seems you were locked in and reads on point vs last few stream posts you been socializing, drinking, or just plain tired. Good to see you get back to basics and helps when deck is kind too
I understand why HCL is such a good spot for you especially when you can make popular vlogs out of it as well. But man do I prefer this format so much more
How is pocket Queens hand a chop? Did he make a mistake in editing?
He gets a full house on the 2nd board, Qs and 2s
Quads are only hard to make when there are 2 of said card on the table. Quads are extremely easy to make when the table already has a set.
Run good become a pro 😂awesome
12:35 is there a bad beat jackpot?
