It's sad cuz the reason Bernkastel would still deny Ange's golden truth that gave her a happy ending, is because Bernkastel couldn't create a gold truth that can give Rika and her friends their happy ending

When they can't get what they want. They would attempt to rob others of an opportunity he or she couldn't have, simply because of that fact alone.

While Reality dictates that while Battler and Ange did survive the incident, they were never the same again, for the former moreso. However their spirits remained in the Golden Land where the rest of their family resides.
Yea I saw that coming. The Red truths weren't proven wrong at all, only how it was viewed.
Joke's on you. This was all Bernkastel's ploy. This isn't her first rodeo (FULL SPOILERS FOR BOTH SERIES)
Witches love to act as the bad guy to guide humans to a happy ending. Just like she created Matsuribayashi for Rika, she created Twilight of the Golden Witch for Ange. She's one of the gamemasters too, remember? Of course, even in Matsuribayashi, Bernkastel couldn't bring back the people who died and disappeared because of Oyashiro-sama's curse, but she gave the club and everybody in the village the happy ending they deserved. Matsuribayashi was Bernkastel's version of the golden truth. In the visual novel, the description given beneath the title of the chapter is "Let it at least end with a happy dream".
Remember how Bernkastel promises to find a fragment in which Ange's family comes back home, "at least ONE of them"? She kept her promise, because as Beato mentioned before, witches always keep their promises unlike humans. The magic ending where Tohya meets Yukari Kotobuki is the fragment Bernkastel created for Ange in return for being her piece.

I like how in the beginning of their fight Battler was beating Berns ass but “died” to teach Ange how to use a Gold truth like he can. It’s nice
Battler has a habit of losing a battle to win a war, as it were. He did a similar thing by being "trapped" by the logic error in episode 6.

The original anime did a very bad job by not adding everything from the novel.

The Red Truth is an immutable statement written by the Game Master to build the Game Board.
The Blue Truth is an assumptive or subjective statements made by characters or Game Masters to carry the Game Board forward. They are allowed to be false, as long as they don't contradict the Red Truth or violate the role of its own writer.
The Golden Truth is an assumptive or subjective statement made by a special individual. They are mere conjectures, but they hold as much truth as a Red Truth. As long as they don't contradict the Red Truth, they can be treated as absolute fact.
This is because the Golden Truth is a truth accessible only by Ange and Battler. Two individuals who are both Game Masters who write stories, and characters whose stories are being written. As they are characters, they are allowed to hold into subjective beliefs, but as they are also Game Masters, their subjective beliefs also acts as facts.
The Golden Truth is, in practice, a fiction treated as truth. Because as a character writing their own story, Ange and Battler have the absolute freedom to decide how it goes. Like writing an autobiography, no one can deny anything Ange or Battler say, no matter how outlandish it is. Nothing, except the Book of One Truth, the only source of truth other than Ange's and Battler's account.
That is why unless Ange changes her mind, she is invincible. She is writing a story about herself. And unlike Bern or Aua, she is not an outsider. And unlike Battler, she is still alive.
In other words, the Golden Truth is simply Hope. As long as Ange keeps hoping, as long as she keeps believing, as long as she never accepts the death of her family no matter what evidence is provided to her, there will always be a chance for her to meet them again.

@@user-zb8hc2im4e Agree. Blood, sex, violence, or even moral corruption can all be drawn beautifully, with quality. But the official Umineko anime was the opposite of quality. I'm glad it doesn't have Part 2 and died. And I'm glad it doesn't exist.
