I don't think he plays anything. He just projects who he is. But aside from dark winds which I think is absolutely astonishing the piece that got me was Westworld. I remember crying for about an hour after I saw that.
As with many native actors, dialogue is superfluous; all spoken through their eyes: Michael greyeyes, Eric Schweig, graham Greene, Wesley French etc. indigenous actors seem to have their ‘own’ school of method (and the there are the women !!)
