Remind me of a computer game called "Rain World".
In the game, the final karma symbol, which marks the "Ascend" into the Void Sea, is also "X". The Lower part of the statue looks "solid", like the ruins after the extinction of humans. While the upper part soften and liquify, just like the echos of metempsychosis and release the souls from suffering. (sorry for bad english)

I wish that there had been some still close up shots of the piece itself. It's very difficult to look at the sculpture when the camera is moving as much as it was. The sculpture may also require contemplation, which cannot happen whilst Professor Edwards is talking and the camera is shooting moving shots. It was interesting hearing his talk, but to allow me to form my own opiniom I need the quiet and still that this format does not usually provide and did not in this instance.. This video acted mainly to draw my attention to the Professor Edwards rather than rhe sculptor Edwards. I suppose I am saying that I am a little disappointed by this MOMA offering, somewhat of a first for me.
There are no simple explanations of Malcolm X, why would there be any here? All the questions-- all the ambiguities unsettle us and leave us moved in a way another, more obvious work never could.
