I’m 65 years old and my favorite quote from you is “life is too short to drive boring cars”
Heck yeah it is!! Gotta enjoy life! Always worth it if it puts a smile on 😎
Get on Autotrader and buy one 👍
haha heck yeah!
Yeah so true that's why I bought a GTR haha.
Best car ever!
This is great info for anyone interested in a new or used Nissan GTR, thank you.
Glad you liked the video! I want to put as much content out there on the car so people really know exactly what it's like to own! Too much of a fun car for people to not know!
Best bang for the buck out there. I love mine too. I’ve only had it since August and it’s been a blast. The aftermarket is phenomenal, if kind of expensive. It has a great, unique sound that you can’t mistake for anything else. Drop a gear and disappear. :)
For sure man! Such a unique car that can do so much! Seriously gets better with age!
as a 370z owner I can relate :)
370Z is a great car! Loved mine!
100% Bill! I absolutely love mine. Can't stop modify it haha.
Your talking about expensive? It’s literally the best car out there for the money these gtrs compete with lambos and if you think upgrading with gtrs is expensive just imagine a lambo
Because of you, I’m getting my 2012 Nissan GT-R Track Pack next week! Keep up with the good content!
I just love the fact that you study your GTR well and educate your youtube audience on different aspects about the car. From how to own a gtr, how to do DIYs, sharing your experiences on riding it and other stuff! Been watching all your gtr videos and all the smiles and reactions that it gives you everytime you ride it motivates me to work harder daily! More power to your channel and more gtr vlogs! Hehe fan from the Philippines! 🙏🏻
Glad you like the content! I really love the car and what it offers! Glad to share everything on UA-cam to give new owners and real perspective of what it’s like to own
I just got done watching watching the 2 year update for the first time! Sweet now I can fast forward straight to 3 years haha thanks for these videos. They're great and honest stuff
Oh nice! Thanks for checking out the content! Love sharing the GTR!
I've had mine a 2013 Black Edition a little over 3 yrs and I feel exactly the same 👍🏽
That's awesome!! Such a great car for sure ;)
great review, I bought an RS3 after looking at both the GTR and RS3 and decided on 4 doors. Maybe I'll revisit the comparison in a year or two when I can put more down on a 17+ GTR
Sweet1 I love the RS3! Definitely circle back to a GTR when 2 doors can make sense. It's a really cool car to own
My friend has a 2017 R35. Here’s what I can say when I rode in it. When it was in comfort mode, literally besides the seats hugging you harder than grandma does after not seeing you for a couple years, the car feels like driving a Camry. It’s super smooth and easily EASILY can be daily driven, so I totally see where you’re coming from there.
We had our 5’10 friend sit in the back while I sat in the pax seat, and he said he was cramped back there. Not because of leg room, since I scooted up there was plenty; it was because of head room.
That was the first super car I’ve rode in before, and the acceleration of the STOCK car is something I can’t even describe besides WOW.
The hardest decision I will have to make in about 7 years is whether I get an R35 or a MKV Supra. In the meantime, I gotta go FBO e85 and engine rebuild on my wrx and see what that can handle ;)
Yeah man the GTR can do a ton! That WRX is a beast I bet!
When the time comes, go GTR! It always has that wow factor and is a true special car. Supra is great and a fast car once modified. But it'll always be half the car a GTR is lol
@@BrosFOURRSpeed awesome man. I’ll definitely go with the GTR then, since you’ve had both. Really excited for you to get a 17+ and hope it’s soon!!
You'll love it! The GTR is just a WOW of a car! Epic machine! It'll be fun to swap up to a newer one for sure!
You could never get what you have for the price today. The amount of mods and what that car can do , you'd be crazy to sell it right now anyway. The resale is crazy high, but for good reason.
Thing is, many people don't know how to drive a car like this at high speeds, it does take some patience.
When you think that cars with 1000 HP can cost over half a million, this vehicle is the best option out there for a very high performance vehicle.
Yeah the TR has a ton of value in it. When the time comes I know I'll do well selling it. And all the mods will go on my new one ;)
Best bang for the buck supercar!
The rear seats is one of the main reasons I bought a 2017 GTR over an R8 or even a Huracan. I have 2 small kids and even with their car seats they fit fine in the back. They love driving it and always ask if they can go in the "race car"
Thats awesome to hear!! When the time comes for me, that's something I'm going to love with this car. I'll still be able to go to car shows and cruses with the supercar ;)
My dream car is an R35 and it has been for years, and this video just solidified my dream of a GT-R tuned to 700 hp or so. Low key ready to hit up the dealership right now haha
Awesome! You'll absolutely love the GTR! Best car I've ever driven and I still love this car!
That's awesome_ I started ordering things first day I got the GT-R and it's been only 3 days? Another set of wheels! Rohana RFX2's with tires, midpipe, and other small things! lol, I'm keeping my Powercoated black OEM wheels with brand new blizzak snow tires! - I won't drive the car when it's snowy day or super cold or slushy, screw that! but i'll take it out in winter plus its good for the car to sit on snow tires anyways! and warm it up and drive around town (not garage queen) I have no clue where to order sideskirts, rear (center) diffuser - with front lip. I Tinted the windows all ready and car is going for ceramic coating ! sheeeesh...money rain!..... I love the GT-R! I gave my dad a ride and he enjoyed it !haha car feels so damn planted. I'm keeping this car until the END! and make some serious power later.... and I have fresh trans that can handle 800hp. I'd be happy with 600hp for now ! btw, my almost 10 year old son sits in the back on driver's side. all fine!
That's awesome to hear!! These things love being driven and are just so much fun! You'll have a lot of fun with it!
One of the reasons I want a GTR, people who don’t know cars won’t bother with it and won’t touch it unlike something like a Viper or Lambo where people are going to notice that it’s a special car and they’re going to come over and touch it and ask to sit in it or go for a ride in it
Very true! It's a very under the radar supercar! I love that aspect. Only the people you actually want to talk to know it
Epic car!
I wouldn't have thought that a GTR would be a good daily driver! That's pretty awesome to hear. Glad to know it's not going anywhere anytime soon. That car is badass!
Slightly rough around the edges. But thats nothing to deter with to have a true supercar that can genially do anything. Glad you enjoyed the GT-R video!
Had a 2009 GT-R for 5 years, used it as a sales rep here in Australia, 5000kms a month, city and country driving, never let me down once. It was stock and so damn reliable I still can’t believe it? I’ve had a Porsche for the last 5 years and can’t stop thinking about going back to the GT-R but the wife won’t let me, she thought it was way to fast?
So amazing bro. The GTR is one of a kind. Thank for sharing!
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed the video! The GTR is such a special car!
I don't mind fanboys who are respectful and want to compliment or strike up a reasonable conversation, I don't like those who approach like they could be a carjacker or ask personal questions like they are entitled to know or want you to take them for a ride and keep pestering. Mine is a 2018 Premium.
Honestly I've never had people like that with the car. Just a few people at the gas station who will ask for a picture. Nothing crazy in 3 years
I like the gtr exhaust
Oh yeah! Having the valve is awesome!
Really nice car
Thanks! I love this car! Always love doing road trip in the mountains with it!
Been around since you got and I’ll be finally picking up a 2015 in 2 weeks.
Oh nice! Congrats! You'll absolutely love the GTR!
Corey the GTR is beast. Congratulations! Mine is a 2012 best car I have owned.
Oh yeah@ Can't go wrong with the GT-R!
CONGRATULATIONS MAN :3
Thanks! Been a fun 3 years!
Its a long time Gtr with you bro 3 years 🙂
Nice man!! GTR has been a ton of fun!
Wow amazing video bros 4 speed
Thanks 😃
Glad you enjoyed the GT-R video! Epic car!
Great job well done 👍 I love all your gtr videos
Thanks! Glad you’re enjoying the content!
Love that spec interior
Thanks! I can’t get enough of the red leather!
Sounds like a good plan to trade for GTR 2017 in the future.
Oh yeah! Since I have 20k miles until I'll want to sell it. That gives me 4 years. So have some time to really plan it out and maximize the sale of this one
Hi Brian, good to see you
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Hands down one of my favorite channels when it comes to the GTR and Supra, keep up the great work! You think you'd go Nismo when the time comes to sell your current GTR?
Thanks! Glad you enjoy the content! I'll stick with another premium model. You are really only paying for the looks and carbon fiber on the Nismo. GTTR is already such a top performing supercar. Nismo is just a waste I think. And my goal is to add a Lamborghini next to the GTR. So that'd take all that money away lol
Dream ride!
Heck Yeah! The R35 GTR is such a beast of a car!
And another great GTR video! I’d like to ask if you’ve ever experienced black smoke out of the exhaust at WOT. Mine has 16k miles and a catback only. I’ve heard this could be fixed with a tune.
Thanks man! The black smoke i pretty common if you have no cats. Now on E85 tho, its very minimal compared to on 93. Most turbo cars tho do have some smoke at WOT
Your gtr is one of the best gtrs that I have ever seen.
But could you please change the front bumper and head lights and face lift it to 2017
Thanks man! That would be cool to do the front end swap! But in a few years I'll have a newer one anyways. So not worth the money
@@BrosFOURRSpeed ok that sounds cool 👍❤
Nice!! I love your gtr!
Thanks! Beast of a car!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed you welcome
I certainly don't see the typical clouds of GTR 'smoke' out the back of your car more.
That E85! Back end is still nice and clean!
Good job bro 🔥🖤
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed of course bro 🖤
of course we agree, why waste money on Apple and Amazon gadgets, when you can have that
For sure! I love the GTR and its been an amazing car!
It sure doesn't seem like it's been 3 years! It would be quite interesting to see if they'll ever do a redesign on this one. It looks like with all the accelerations you do, gives you body aches afterwards 😄😄
Been a fun 3 years for sure! Would love to see an R36 come out! Hopefully it’s not to expensive so I could maybe get one 😅
To believe you had that for 3 yrs holyy s@%@ man gotta be fun
haha yeah it's been a heck of a lot of fun with the GTR! Great car!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Im Happy for you man the gtr is a beautiful machine, You made it so far and Put so much work into your channel the determination and dedication you rose above it man That 1 mill youtube plaque will be yours to claim Soon Keep moving forward 💪
Thanks ma! Maybe one day we'll get there!
Jeremy Clarkson hurt his neck more than likely whiplash from all the launching and hard fast cornering that day while reviewing.
Ok. That was a fun vid to watch. Been like a decade since I've seen that. Launch is wild!
I’m looking for one right now I just don’t know how many miles and what year
Whatever your budget is will let you know about what the newest year and lowest mileage combo will be. But if you want a 2013+ with under 50k miles. It'll be in the $60k range. That'd be ideal to get for a bullitproof car. But a well maintained older car is still good as long as you don't beat on it
I feel when you accelerate your face changed, like your ayes goes inside your head
They pretty much do! Really keeps you on your toes when you floor it!
All used car prices have gone up, specially sporty cars. They’ve added the “covid tax” to it. I predict they’ll go back to regular prices when things slowly go back to normal.
Even before all that the R35's were still going for good money. Begging of 2020 comps were about $65k-$67k. So Only like $3k less then what they are now. Since the newer GTR's are so much more brand new then this one was, they hold value very well
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Yup. Lots of sellers really outdo it, asking $60k for a 2010 with like 50k miles.. smh. I agree that they hold their value well, and I predict that will still be the case, but it may have a small drop back to normal, post covid.
Update the headlights with the 2015 or 2017’s? Thanks for all the videos l picked up a 2013 back in Oct.
As much as that'd look cool. That's just a waste of $2k. In a few years I'll have a newer one anyways too
Did you by chance buy this from a nissan dealership in pittsburgh? Well washington PA to be exact??? Looks identical to one i test drove there.
Close. I bought it from Limerick Nissan Pennsylvania. They sold this brand new back in 2014 and then the original owner sold it back to them!
Do you remember the exact date you got this and the R8
It was mid January we were signing papers. I think Jan 12 I legit bought it. And I think it arrived Jan 27th. First YT vid on the GTR was Feb 13 I believe 😅
R8 was about a week ahead of the GTR
@@BrosFOURRSpeed so R8 was 20th, GTR was 27th?
@@mileslynch around those dates, yup!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for checking out the GTR vid! Love this car!
I just noticed your shifters are column mounted. Mine are steering mounted. Which do you prefer?
I'm kinda torn. I do like column mounted since I always know whee there are. But the steering wheel makes it to where they are always in your hands in a performance setting. But I like the wheel mounted ones on the new GTR, so I'll be good with those when the time comes to trade up!
Dude, I know you've heard of the Texas 2k GTR's 700hp is monster- but would you like to drive a 1500hp GTR for the heck of it? It might change your mind lol (probably not your a smart fella) just wanted your thoughts on those.
That’d be a ton of fun for sure!! I certainly would not turn down a change to force a 1500hp GTR 😅
you never fixed the rattle/clanking noise on the car(bell housing)?
There is nothing to fix lol. Thats just how these cars operate. It's a legit racer on the road. So there is a lot of drivetrain play under idle and slow speeds.
Just curious how is gas on it for daily driving
On 93 i average about 17.6 MPG. Now on E85 tho, I'm around 13.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed awesome not too bad than, roughly the same I get from my evo x atm.
Hey Brian, just curious, as a full time You Tuber, with no other job, what do you do for health insurance?? Are you fully covered if you have a major health issue, car wreck with major injuries? Thanks
I pay for that with my auto insurance 😉
I really like the 2020 Nismo GTR how do you feel about getting one?
That's an epic car for sure! But a waste of money. Nismo is like double the price of a premium and all you're really getting is c carbon fiber parts and not much more power. That extra $100k can go towards many more things. I'll stick with the premium
Yeah it may not be practical however, I really like how it looks over any other GTR.
Oh yeah it looks super cool! But it's really only for people who will legit track it. Or people who have an extra $100k they have no use for lol
3 yearss and still no mic 😩😩 Cmon Bros! 🤣
We have great cameras with our mics on top of the camera, it works great for the audio!
Maybe I missed when you published this, but do you have a detailed list of the mods you've done to your GTR. I want to do mods to mine eventually. Thanks
Actually just posted a video on that a few days ago lol! ua-cam.com/video/LSEV3BvRJwQ/v-deo.html
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Awesome. Thanks!!
No problem!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Going to 700hp did not require any modifications to the transmission then? That's good to hear! Also..I have a hard time thinking about upgrading to a 2017 because I paid 55k for mine and modifying it to 700hp would cost me about 10k? I already have an armytrix exhaust. So paying 80-90k for a 2017 is hard for me to justify. Thoughts?
Here is a video on what I did to keep the transmission good for the power. ua-cam.com/video/PuOqcvoQJBg/v-deo.html
Just minor adjustments. The car stock can handle like 700 to the wheels. To the wheels I'm like 650 HP and low 6s for TQ. So mine should be good. All the GTR years are great and 55k is definitely a great price! It's crazy how the 2017+ is like $90k+. But for me, in a few years I just want the refinements with the new one and it'd be fun to upgrade. I'll sell mine when its around 55k miles, and get a new one that has like 10k miles. So I'll last me another 5-7 years or so while still being a very new car. I'm not the biggest fan of owner cars past 60k miles
On the note of insurance, who do you insure through? I am guessing you have a combined policy with your other vehicles as well?
Yeah I have all 3 vehicles together. I'm now with Erie Insurance instead of Gieco. Saved me $500 a year! Gieco wanted to raise my rates for no reason, so I talked with my friend and he smoked them lol
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Geico used to do the same things with me too for the 2-2.5 years I had them, even though I was getting older and my cars were losing value.. I switched to USAA a couple years ago. Thanks for the info
Yeah I had them since I had the red Z. Band I liked them because of how easy it was. But after seeing them raise my rate, i found out how much they were screwing me lol. Even did a quote with progressive and allstate and they were lower. So I'm glad I was able to work with my friends company and give him my business.
Hey man, if you were looking to get one what would you go for a 2012-2014 GTR or a 1lt base c8 corvette? I’m actually leaning towards the GTR lol.
Those would roughly around the same price, I would probably pick the GTR! I've been able to drive the C8 a few times and it's cool, but to me, it's just a normal sportscar. The GTR is going to be way more raw feeling (if that's something you want!), not as much tech, but a lot more tuning potential. Both are great cars for what they have to offer, but you can't beat the price and performance of the GTR! But you get the price and "exotic" look of the C8. Hopefully that helped!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Ive heard that same thing from other people. It seems like the c8 is way too refined and makes it feel pretty regular and not as exciting? The GTR just seems more exciting and raw like you said! Tbh the tech is not a huge factor to me, I was really happy with a base s550 mustang gt so the gtr would probably feel like an upgrade lol. I love the exotic look of the c8 after seeing a few in person but the gtr has gotta be the all around best bang for the buck! Also all the tuning possibilities is huge too! Thank you for actually taking the time to put together a great reply for me. You got a new sub!
@@gboss2147 No problem man, thanks for the support! The C8 also revs to 4k, so not much to drag it out and get it up there! It's quick, but too refined for me. This would be a great upgrade from the Mustang like you said, still have the back seats too lol! I have tons of videos on the GTR if you need more info! Been the best car I owned and plan on keeping it for awhile!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed No problem, brother, keep up the grind! You deserve a lot more views! Yeahh that’s true, the more I think about the performance the more I’m leaning towards the GTR! Lol for sure back seats are always a plus! Thanks, I will definitely check the other gtr vids out! That’s awesome especially in this age of UA-cam it’s cool to see someone actually keep a car! Do you think a 2012-2014 for 55-60k with maybe less than 40k miles is a good deal? The market is crazy rn for all cars lol
You mentioned that it runs on E85, is that the only fuel you can use, or can you still use premium gas?
My car is on Flex Fuel. So I can run everything in between 93 and E85. I don't know if many people actually just do straight up E85 tunes anymore. Flex Fuel is the best way because you can mix it and not have to worry
3 years later still slow. The 370z nismo you had with a single turbo kit e 85 650 whp all day .
lol The GTR would still smoke a single turbo 370Z. Keep in mind, when my car was stock, 545 HP, a 750 HP ZR1 couldn't even beat it. Fast cars are fast for more reasons then actual power levels. GTR puts 100% of the power down without fail every single time. A turbo Z won't.
The 370z will be less reliable than the gtr at that hp.
Trading a 370Z for GTR based on performance mod capability would be stupid.
Do you not miss stick shift since owning the GTR and Supra?
Honestly no. The character of the GTR's DCT transmission is as raw as it gets. So crazy to dive and a stick could never keep up with the power levels. I like how smooth the Supra is with the auto tho for commuting long miles. Makes that car very relaxing. If it came with a stick I would have opted for it tho. One day I'll have another manual. But certain cars just don't need it
@@BrosFOURRSpeed when you were in the market for the Supra, did you consider an M2?
I recently got an OG M2 stick, and it is awesome. Definitely a big step up from the 86 I had prior.
I know, UA-cam wise, it made more sense to go with the Supra for the views. Just curious if the M2 was also on your radar.
The M2 Comp was on the list! I really like that car a lot! I am kinda torn on which one would have been more fun. The DCT offered for the M2 is better than the auto in the Supra, but I still would have picked the manual. I went with the Supra mainly because the GTR has back seats. So the layout would be identical to what I already have. At some point I do want an M2! Maybe in a few years I'll get an M2 CS and have that as my manual car. I've been liking BMW more and more since I bought the Supra, and the M2 is my kind of car!
How is the ground clearnce on the R35? Did you have to lift the suspension?
Very good actually. I've never scraped out in the real world. My driveway has a turn and at the wrong angle I still don't scrape. All stock
Bros FOURR Speed Awesome! Thanks for letting me know!
No problem! I've thought about lowering so maybe one day, I'll still have some room lol!
do you want to get this car to Scotty to feature it, if you don´t live to far, you will get 1m views for sure
Who's that?
That'd always be fun to be in other peoples videos.

I'm sure that's one heck of a bike!

I like them! Gives it a nice subtle touch!
My windshield light won't turn off after 6k miles😅if yall know how to lmk
What’s the windshield light?
I mean wiper..lol...reset battery, and still not turning off..any insights
Interesting. Your car should be under warranty. Have the dealer fix it ;)

Thanks for checking out the GTR video!
People mentioning how valuable this video is for someone purchasing this vehicle...the guy hasn't even put 16k miles on it. This thing is rarely on the road and its had transmission work done to it. If anything, this video shows you can drive it for a year with transmission upgrades (based on mileage > 15k is about average) and let it sit in your garage for 2 years. Hardly valuable, imo
Well.. I work from home and the first year and a half I loved 3 miles from work. So even tho I didn’t put a ton of miles on it. I’ve been in and out of it just as much. If I had a 20 mile commute to work. I’d still get the same experience vs driving it 3 miles to work. Regardless, I know this car inside and out and for 3 years I drive it a few times ever week. I don’t have far to go since everything is so close to me. But regardless. I probably have the most GTR content on UA-cam as a normal owner and 99% of viewers seem to like it.
Have you paid it off yet? Can you officially call it yours?🚘
I’ve been over paying. So I’ll have it paid for at the end of this year 👌🏼
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Cool... I know you can't wait.😌
I could pay it off today, but doesn't make sense to drop that money just yet. I have more important plans for it lol. But end of year will be cool to have the title!
