I came in search of these songs because I read a trash review of the album. The reviewer was so upset and clearly afraid of Van's independence and courage, I knew I had to hear it for myself. I love it!

That reviewer represents many in rock and Official Bohemia. They know their cowardice and conformism has been exposed by Van's witness. Not exactly a matter of left and right, b/c rock bohemia could have made tactical alliance with the libertarians, populists, and conservatives on this one issue of lockdown policy disputes...could have been moderate in a genuine sense, could have refrained from demonizing lockdown skeptics, etc., but most all of them punted.
And look, I'm not a Van Morrison expert, especially concerning his career over the last three decades, but most of these songs sound pretty darn good! So they're not A+, so they're not musically as good, say, as what Dylan laid down last year, but--so what? The rock and pop-music crowd is lying when they say this is substandard. These are impressive songs, and lyrically, they close the case on that crowds' hypocrisy, weakness, conformism, etc. And so they employ derision, and lie about what their ears are hearing.
Too many liars out there.
Boy does that show you that NONE of these so called music sites have ANY authenticity.

As a lifelong fan of the Man himself and someone who has been a seeker of truth since the day I discovered that JFK wasn’t killed by a lone gunman, I was so delighted to see Van speak and sing truth to power. I’ve learned more in the last 14 months than in my prior 69 years realizing just how deep this con truly goes. Ultimately it’s up to each one of us to be brave, be kind and stand together as human beings. There is so much BS everywhere we turn. If you haven’t listened to Van’s song The Prophet Speaks be someone who listens. We are moving into what looks like shaky times.

I agree with you 100%. Good on Van for taking a stance against the fake pandemic and all of the ridiculous restrictions. It's a pity more in the music/entertainment industry have not spoken out as he has done. The pathetic media now of course attack him in a childish manner for his views but he has never taken any crap from them throughout his long career. He has always steadfastly refused to play their 'celebrity' game. Good on him again.
