    This will help teach you how to perform a DP or (Dragon Punch) into a level 3 more consistently. Instead of doing all 3 inputs, you only need to perform the DP input + one more quarter circle then your button! This is known as "input storing." The game will store an input for around 30 frames or so.

    This thing actually made my understanding of cancel so much easier when I learned it earlier this year. A lot of people on the SF subreddit also didnt know that that's how the game verified the super imput. After all , the combo tutorial shows 3 quarter circle , so anyone in their right mind would think you need to imput all those 3.

      Yup! This kind of secret because not a lot of people talk about it. Glad it helped you!

    For many of us long time fighting game players this is common knowledge but kudos to you showing the new generation the way! SF6 is gonna have a huge new community and these vids are great for them! Fighting games are some of the hardest genres to get into, so everyone keep sticking to it!

      It's great because I was the "new generation" with SF4. Didn't play 5 at the beginning but I picked it up around Season 2.5. Now I'm at a level with fighting games to where I wanna pass down all my knowledge to help the new generation learn not only SF6, but other FG as well. Thank you for the Kudos!

    Another tip and something that has help me after the dp let your stick go back to neutral and then input the fireball motion+kick I’ve been trying to figure out why i couldn’t get it consistently until I looked at my inputs and saw that I wasn’t letting my stick go back to neutral

    I'm glad that shortcut exists because I'm just straight up not fast enough without it.

    Awesome tip. I thought cancelling into super from special moves was really hard coz I had to do like 3 quarter circles

      I'm glad I could help! This is what I thought when I started playing SF too. Praise FGs for having input storing!

      Pretty beginner friendly some somewhat hit-confirmable string would be stMP > crMP > fireball > SUPER, though with buttons being less plus in SF6 you may wanna use DR(stMP) for the extra frames

    Technically speaking, if you do a clean DP input you don't actually get the first qcf since you should be ending in downforward. However, at the beginner to intermediate level, most people learn to throw a hadouken first and think of doing a shoryuken as tapping forward and then doing a hadouken. That's definitely how I learned. This works because the game gives input priority to shoryuken over hadouken. That said, even if you do a clean DP motion every time ending in downforward, this kind of tip is still useful cuz you just end the dp on a forward and then do one more qcf and you are good.
    Good stuff.

      Having GGST as my first fighting game, I learned doing a dp the "proper" way. Making sure to end the dp motion with a forward def makes it much easier to cancel into super. Thank you for pointing this out!

    So does everyone call quarter circle punch DP? Like how everyone calls range attacks fireball even with characters like guile

    • @DarkSynth
      @DarkSynth  Рік тому

      F,QCF is DP. People just call Quarter circles, quarter circlees. Nothing special. Lol

      So unfortunately, this doesn't apply to her. You just gotta be fast with inputting her DP into lvl 3

    I still dont understand. just looks like wild mashing to me. maybe if you're using a stick its easy. i use an xbox dpad and i still cant get clean double fireball inputs cleanly.

      Actually.. there is a shortcut for that.. do a QCF (with whatever special move you are using, then HOLD back while doing another QCF into your super. the way SOCD and neutral work makes the game mechanics in SF6 read it as 2 QCB instead :)... enjoy
