As a Full Stack Web Developer, now learning WordPress from scratch, this means a lot. For developers talking trash about wordpress because it doesn't require code and blablabla, they are just tools, if you want to charge double price and do 10 times work for the same thing the client wants, that's totally up to you! If you want to make money you have to leave your fixed mindset and adjust to changes :)!
Always my point exactly. A lot of developers say trash about WordPress... But I found out you can actually do so much with it because of its flexibility....And this comment...coming from a genius like yourself...I shall soak myself in WordPress and master its art.... It just makes the whole work much easy...
Great video! For those who are complain about how the way that he speaks, remember: Not everyone has English as the first language, speaking slowly he's helping people worldwide even if someone does not speak english fluently.
What’s to complain about? The dude does an EXCELLENT job and the video is FREE. Sheesh. I came here looking for exactly what he’s offering - a step-by-step, thorough, easy to absorb tutorial of WP.
What makes this course very very very special to me is the speed. People with concentration problems like me, can follow this course and learn every bit. Combined with no unnecessary chit chat, makes the learning time in total equal to those high-speed talking courses with long introductions and unnecessary chit chat. I hope this comment helps this blog come up in the results so people with ADHD or similar issues can see it and enjoy it.
3 days ago when I started watching this I had no idea whatsoever as to where I should take my start from. Usually it takes a mentor who has a rather grounded way of explaining things for me to understand anything and I thank you for being the one I expected.
One of the best teachers I have ever seen. Modularization of the course is perfect and each section is explained so throughly. The best thing is that there is not a single word that you used and didn't explain. I felt like I was taking a 1 on 1 class with a professional. Absolutely amazing course! Thanks so much!
WordPress, once installed, should make this course mandatory. I was surprised to find that there is no need for other editor like Elementor or other. WordPress has it all. Thank you, Adi.
I'm brand new to WordPress with no instruction - this tutorial was perfect for me and I have already started adding to and updating our company website. Thank you!
I appreciated your professionalism and the time you took for doing this video. I learnt the essential bases to build my first website step by step. On the other hand, I truly enjoyed your relaxing voice; I'm quite tired of watching over-excited UA-camrs explaining concrete things like they were selling me the million-dollar secret. Thanks a lot, Adi!
You know? I don't know much about technology, but your voice intonation and your way of explaining (so structured) make you a great teacher. Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge with us :)
To me he speaks VERY well. I am SO GRATEFUL to him for offering this. I am currently homeless and residing in a vehicle. I am doing EVERYTHING possible to alleviate this situation. I even entered a FREE opportunity to attend Real Estate school. While I am studying, I am engaging this video so I can build a site for my (future) clients to collaborate with. I do not want to wait until I make “enough money “ to build my RE site; WHY WAIT? The opportunity to grow quickly is right HERE. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS INFORMATION SO ELOQUENTLY, ❤Divine Favor.
I was thrown into WordPress without a boat or paddle or training, so it has always been very overwhelming for me. I was petrified to try anything beyond the basics, for fear of messing up/ breaking links, etc. I found this course and it has been like finding the answers to life’s questions. The course is beautifully structured in bite-sized chunks with everything being explained so clearly and with examples. The teacher, Adi Purdila has a calming manner which is perfect when learning new technology. He makes you feel much more confident about trying out new things. Thank you so much for allowing me this opportunity to learn so much.

Absolutely brilliant tutorial. It is a whole course--everything you need to know (well, everything I needed to know), clearly and competently explained. Like having one's own personal tutor. I've used other CMSs before but, having overcome the prejudices Adi mentions regarding WP, I thought it was time. to try it. I am blown away by what WP offers now, and this course has given me the confidence to jump right in. Thanks very much for taking the time to produce this.
This video uses very simple English words. And very easy to listen the pronounce and read the subtitles. So we non-native English speakers can study not only Wordpress but also English. Moreover it's free! Thank you very much.

I really appreciated your your tutorial. I've seen others before, but as they immediately introduced Plugins like Elementor and themes like Astra, I couldn't quite understand the core elements of Wordpress. I finally understood them, thanks for the very clear presentation
Hello there I'm a front end developer. With this tutorial will I get all the basics I need to use WordPress or rather engage in WordPress jobs for clients
Very good hint: The tab in the top nav menu doesn’t have to be the actual page title(more used in blogs), so here’s what you can do: Edit the pages and delete their titles. Go to Appearance>Menus and create a custom menu. Select your (now nameless) pages from the Pages module, click Add to Menu. Click the arrow at the right side of each page module to open it, type the title in the Navigation Label field. Click Save Menu, select the menu from the Theme Locations pulldown, click Save.
I have no software background and learning from scratch with this course is really valuable. I have not fully completed the course but finished installation on local hosting using MAMP. As i do not have domain name and hosting plan as yet, can I create my first practice website locally and then transfer it to a live sever later? Maybe it is covered later but just want to know. Thanks a lot for the great content and the way you explain things are very easy to follow for a beginner like me!
Hello Adi! You have been a real help for me to understand WordPress from the start and after taking this beginner's lesson I thank you for making us easier to learn about it, for free I should add.
great video! for me a beginner, I really a video can explain how WordPress works, and how to do business with it. You did a great job explaining it easily understand.
Great tutorial, i am stuck after installing MAMP, and installing the entire map of WORDPRESS into htdocs. After this i wanted to follow your step and go into ''My website''. My problem is this: I don't see my website as an option. What did i do wrong?
Let me know if you figured it out. I don't see MY WEBSITE either, and when I navigate directly to localhost:8888 it doesn't work. I tried placing the wordpress folder both in MAMP and the htdocs subfolder.
Hey, I think i found a solution for this problem. Go to MAMP "Preferences" and on the first tab ("Start/Stop") enter to "My Favorite Link" a slash symbol. Then hit ok and the server will restart. After that refresh the "WebStart page" or reopen and you will find a new link called "My Favorite Link". Click on it and it will show you the content of your MAMP root map. Choose your wordpress map and there you go.
Wow! I did it, I managed to install WP on my computer! Thanks for your patience, nice and calmly explained. Thank you! (I am 68, so it's not that easy....)
The option you click 'my website' at 16:24, I dont see it on my page. How do i find it? Does it mean that the wordpress folder is copied in the wrong folder of the root folder? I copied it in htdocs..
Let me know if you figured it out. I don't see MY WEBSITE either, and when I navigate directly to localhost:8888 it doesn't work. I tried placing the wordpress folder both in MAMP and the htdocs subfolder.

Enormously helpful, thanks. One bit I got stuck on on the local installation in Windows: when I go to My Website to select the copy of WordPress that I've just downloaded, I don't get anything to choose from. I eventually managed to work out - with the help of another video - that I need to go to localhost/wordpress ("wordpress" being the name of the WP folder that I'd just pasted into the folder C:/MAMP/htdocs). Windows doesn't like the ":8888", btw.
@Joshua Faircloth Not sure I can remember - I just searched for videos about doing a local installation of WordPress in Windows. As soon as they mentioned OSX I knew they were working on a Mac so I needed to find a different video.
