    I love Simon Taylor. His knowledge and 'not beat you over the head' approach is great.

    Thank you Motor Sport Magazine, Mercedes Benz, and, especially SImon Taylor, for this podcast. And now I know why SImon was always photographed in a pink shirt while interviewing each of his subjects! Simon's "Lunch With ..." articles have provided me with so many hours of fascinating reading over the past ten years. Thanks so much.

    Another fantastic podcast chaps. Walter Wolf sounds very amusing, I shall have to revisit that article. I was hoping the antidote about his dog was going to be "Nevermind the dog, beware of the Wolf!"

    For crying out loud, please ditch the Mercedes adverts, they ruin a great podcast.

      Hi CaterhamMatt - if we didn't have them we wouldn't have the podcasts. It's as simple as that - they should be celebrated for keeping them alive! Ed.

      I listen to a wide variety of podcasts that include ads, from NPR high quality to awful amateur's who seem to think that just because they own a cheap mic - the world will care about what they have to say?!? From that perspective I can't see cause to criticise these Merc ads, they are minimally intrusive compared with most. My own complaint is that some of these MSM podcasts do not include Mark Hughes, as a contributor. I suspect that severely frustrates all other serious F1 fans. If he could contribute more to Sky's coverage of race weekends, I'd give serious consideration to paying the stupid prices demanded by Murdoch, to keep him readily equipped with young Asian wives, as he gradually ruins the cultural records that future generations will study like antiquated artifacts ... a bit like he old man {boom, tizz, irony}

    I don't care for the implication of the remark about Lewis Hamilton's tattoos. I don't like that type of body art, but why imply some inherent impediment to his ability to coherently and intelligently answer questions from hacks, 10 years down the line? I think Lewis is in a minority of current drivers who will repeatedly answer questions in an honest and non-evasive way, even when his prospects for the race weekend become bleak. Contrast that with Rosberg's PR-centric , media-friendly output. Whilst Rosberg pretends to be consistently open, to the extent that you wonder what was shoved so far up his arse - when Mercedes recently re-negotiated his contract? If I were Lewis, I'd make space now, diarised for 10 years hence. By then tattoo removal will probably be more effective, just in case... As far as Nico talking 10 years from now - I suspect he'll be talking up all the opportunities he "might have" had, to make his mark in the history of motor racing. If he has achieved something - I don't begrudge him whatever; but I suspect that regardless of who wins the 2016 title, 10 years from now Lewis Hamilton will be more interested in his next achievement, as opposed to looking back on fond memories - I don't think he'll care if it's managing to learn to play piano in a really awkward key like G sharp/A flat - but I expect he will be mighty tired of answering questions from press about his storm-in-a-teacup battles with Rosberg, Vettel, Alonso et al. F1 can take over a curious man's life, if allowed to run loose; barring a few exceptions and outliers - the real champions will be suitably satisfied with any and all achievements, but will prefer to talk about anything but those. The nearly-men by contrast, will probably be literally running towards a mic that can record the minutia of their has-been landmarks. Rosberg should take lessons from his father's dignity. Lewis is probably needlessly worrying about his current form - whatever is prescient now will matter less in 10 years time. If Rosberg wins a title this year, I'll be happy and applaud him with an A for effort - meant sincerely given how hard he's been trying for 3+ years. If he wins next year, the contrast will be akin to Jenson Button's 2009 title! One team making the best of everyone's surprise at new rules. The next few titles will undoubtedly go to well-funded seats, so that inevitably means sugary drinks or vehicle manufacturers ... if the latter, I'd love to see Renault put the fat sweaty man behind them (should be easy, there's loadsa space behind that greasy walking ground-trembler) and find the next Alonso type youngster, then move forwards with more titles. I hope the 2017+ regs are not too aero-dependant. Hopefully Danny Ric can migrate to another team (maybe a resurgent McLaren/Honda, oncec Fred's gone and they've build a decent car?) as I'd love to see him win a title (or two, or three) but it wouldn't be so sweet in Spice Boy's hands. All this talk of Ferrari in crisis, makes it sound like the whole affair was not of their own making - via a variety of bad judgements. The red folk should be competative, but Vettel's won enough trophies for now. Having them sign RIC seems almost perverse, though he's the youngster-with--experience any sane F1 team manager would want. I used to rate young Max, but whilst his inexperienced-yet-ballsey moves were originally refreshing, now his name is mentioned so often it sounds like a crappy part of some over-wrought drinking game, played by the wives of F1 journalists - in the hope their drunken longings will endear them to the men, toiling away and pushing keys on a hot typewriter, suffering at the hands and fast fingers of grizzled F1 journalists. It's always nice to hear MSM podcasts, so keep the good work up!

      I agree. I have loved reading the 'lunch with' articles over the years, but that comment about Hamilton's tattoos and dismissive tone was appalling and Simon really let himself down. Really disappointing.
